"ABSTRAK
The dichloromethane and methanol extracts, and the essential oil of Persicaria sp. were subjected to in vitro anti rice pathogenic microbial activity tests. The essential oil displayed the most potential antimicrobial activity. GC MS analysis revealed thirteen main compounds as dodecanal (54%), decanal (15%), trans caryophyllene (8%), cyclododecane (7%) and humulene (5%). Strong antimicrobial activities of the oil and dodecanal were found against Rhizoctonia solani (IC50 of 0.066 and 0.851 mg/mL) and Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzicola (MIC/MBC of 0.78/12.50 and 0.78/25.00 mg/mL), and potent activities against Bipolaris oryzae (IC50 of 3.047 and 3.341 mg/mL) and X. oryzae pv. oryzae (MIC/MBC of 3.12/12.50 and 3.12/25.00 mg/mL). In terms of structure activity relationship, 2 dodecanone and 2 dodecanol displayed significantly anti fungal activity, while 1 and 2 dodecanols expressed potent anti bacterial activity. The essential oil might be used for new microcides controlling rice pathogenic bacteria and fungi."

"It was reported that the extracts of papaya leaves could inhibit the growth of Rhizopus stolonifer. Antibacterial activity of Carica papaya leaf extracts on pathogenic bacteria was observed in this study. Papaya leaves were extracted by using maceration method and three kinds of solvents : ethanol, ethyl acetate, and hexane. Papaya leaf extracts were tested against Bacillus stearothermophilus, Listeria monocytogenes, Pseudomonas sp., and Escherichia coli by agar diffusion method. The objectives of this study were to determine extract ability against pathogenic bacteria, to observe the influence of pH, NaCl, and heat on extracts ability, and to observe extract ability against B.stearothermophilus spores.The data showed that ethyl acetate extract could inhibit B. stearothermophilus, L. monocytogenes, Pseudomonas sp., and E. coli. The extract activity was influenced by pH, and it was more effective in low pH. The extract activity was influenced by NaCl against B. stearothermophillus and E. coli . However, it was not influenced by NaCl in bioassay against L. monocytogenes and Pseudomonas sp. The extract activity was influenced by heating process against all the bacteria tested. The extracts inhibited B. stearothermophilus spores as well. Papaya leaves are potential natural anti -bacteria, which might be used in certain kinds of food."

"Coastal plant locally known as terong pungo (Solanum sp.) was used by Aceh community as traditional medicine for toothache. The objectives of this study were to isolate endophytic fungi from the leaves of terong pungo and determine the antibacterial activity of the fungi against bacteria causing dental caries and infection. Eight endophytic fungi were isolated. Antagonism test among the isolates was performed to select the most dominant fungus. TP6 was the selected fungus based on the antagonism assay. Crude extracts of the fungus were macerated from the culture broth using ethyl acetate. The strongest antibacterial activity of the extracts was obtained when the fungus was at 12 days of cultivation. The fungal crude extract was strongly active against Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis and Pseudomonas aeruginosa with inhibition zone diameter of 20, 21 and 23 mm, respectively."

"Propolis merupakan resin alami yang dihasilkan lebah tanpa sengat. Kandungan senyawa kimia dari propolis sendiri bergantung pada sumber tanaman, letak geografis, kondisi lingkungan, serta spesies lebah. Propolis yang digunakan dalam penelitian merupakan propolis Brunei dari lebah tanpa sengat G. thoracica, H. itama, dan T. binghami. Propolis memiliki berbagai aktivitas biologis, salah satunya adalah antijamur. Potensi ini dapat diketahui dengan melihat aktivitas antijamur propolis Brunei terhadap jamur Candida albicans dan Cryptococcus neofarmans. Aktivitas antijamur pada penelitian ini diuji dengan menggunakan metode mikro dilusi dan difusi agar. Hasil aktivitas antijamur menunjukkan bahwa propolis Brunei memiliki potensi sebagai agen antijamur, memiliki zona hambat yang lebih besar pada jamur C. albicans dibandingkan dengan C. neoformans, bahkan propolis Brunei memiliki diameter zona hambat lebih besar dibandingkan flukonazol. Kandungan flavonoid dan polifenol dari propolis Brunei diperoleh dengan penggunaan quercetin sebagai standar flavonoid dan asam galat sebagai standar polifenol. Didapatkan propolis dengan kandungan total polifenol tertinggi dari spesies G. thoracica sebesar 78,79±17,06 mgGAE/g propolis dan total kandungan flavonoid tertinggi dari spesies H. itama sebesar 101,10±6,26 mg QE/g propolis. Kandungan senyawa kimia aktif propolis Brunei dapat diketahui dengan metode LC-MS/MS didapatkan sebanyak 21 senyawa aktif dan 3 senyawa marker, antara lain Maslinic acid, D-(-)-Mannitol, dan 18-β-Glycyrrhetinic acid.

Propolis is a natural resin produced by bees without stinging. The content of chemical compounds from propolis itself depends on the source of the plant, geographical location, environmental conditions, and bee species. The propolis used in this study was Brunei propolis from the stingless bees G. thoracica, H. itama, and T. binghami. Propolis has various biological activities, one of which is antifungal. This potential can be determined by looking at the antifungal activity of Brunei propolis against the fungi Candida albicans and Cryptococcus neofarmans. The antifungal activity in this study was tested using micro dilution and agar diffusion methods. The antifungal activity results showed that Brunei propolis has potential as an antifungal agent, has a larger inhibition zone for C. albicansthan C. neoformans, and Brunei propolis has a larger diameter of inhibition zone than fluconazole. The flavonoid and polyphenol content of Brunei propolis was obtained by using quercetin as a flavonoid standard and gallic acid as a polyphenol standard. The propolis with the highest total polyphenol content from G. thoracica was 78.79±17.06 mgGAE/g propolis and the highest total flavonoid content from H. itama species was 101.10±6.26 mg QE/g propolis. The content of active chemical compounds in Brunei propolis can be determined by using the LC-MS/MS method. There are 21 active compounds and 3 marker compounds, including Maslinic acid, D-(-)-Mannitol, and 18-I²-Glycyrrhetinic acid"

"ABSTRACT
Stres oksidatif merupakan kondisi dimana terjadi ketidakseimbangan antara jumlah radikal bebas yang menyerang tubuh dengan jumlah antioksidan sebagai mekanisme pertahanan tubuh. Stres oksidatif akan menyerang molekul biologis seperti lipid, protein, dan DNA sehingga memicu penyakit neurodegeneratif dan penyakit parah lainnya. Radiasi UV dari matahari menjadi salah satu faktor penyumbang terbesar terjadinya stres oksidatif. Di sisi lain, ditemukan fakta bahwa di dalam propolis ditemukan sifat antioksidan yang merupakan mekanisme pertahanan melawan stres oksidatif. Oleh karena itu, penulis melakukan penelitian tentang efek proteksi propolis wax dari lebah jenis Tetragonula sp terhadap sel yang dipapar radiasi UV. Sel yang digunakan adalah HEK293T dan Fibroblas cell line dimana dilakukan 4 uji untuk mengklarifikasi hipotesis yang dibuat: uji proliferasi sel dengan pengukuran absorbansi warna yang dihasilkan oleh WST-8; uji viabilitas sel dengan pengamatan melalui mikroskop fluoresens pada sel yang diwarnai dengan Hoechst dan PI, uji LDH/apoptosis sel dengan pengukuran absorbansi warna yang dihasilkan oleh WST-8, dan uji jumlah radikal bebas yang diproduksi sel dengan mengukur intensitas fluoresens yang dihasilkan oleh diklorofloresen. Variabel bebas yang digunakan adalah konsentrasi propolis wax. Penulis juga menganalisis senyawa yang terkandung dalam propolis wax menggunakan metode LC-MS. Hasil yang didapat sesuai dengan hipotesis yang dibuat dimana dari keempat uji yang dilakukan didapati sifat proteksi propolis wax terhadap sel yang terpapar radiasi UV namun pada range konsentrasi propolis yang lebih besar memiliki kecenderungan memberikan efek toksik ke sel. Sedangkan pada hasil LC-MS didapat sekitar 85 senyawa dimana 35 diantaranya merupakan senyawa turunan flavonoid dan polifenol sehingga memiliki sifat antioksidan. Selain itu, juga ditemukan 5 senyawa yang dapat menyebabkan apoptosis pada sel. Kesimpulannya, propolis wax dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif pengobatan stres oksidatif dan penyakit yang terkait dengannya di masa mendatang serta perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut untuk menentukan konsentrasi optimum propolis sehingga tidak menyebabkan efek toksik ke sel.

ABSTRACT
Oxidative stress is a condition where there is imbalance condition between the number of free radicals that attack the body with the number of antioxidants as the body 39 s defensive mechanism. Oxidative stress will attack biological molecules such as lipids, proteins, and DNA that trigger neurodegenerative diseases and other severe diseases. UV radiation from the sun is one of the biggest contributing factors of oxidative stress. On the other hand, it was found antioxidant properties in propolis that can be used as a defense mechanism against oxidative stress. Therefore, the authors conducted a study on the effect of propolis wax protection from Tetragonula sp bees to cells exposed to UV radiation. Cells used were HEK293T and Fibroblast cell line where 4 tests were performed to clarify the hypothesis made cell proliferation test with color absorbance measurements produced by WST 8 the cell viability test by observation through a fluorescence microscope on cells stained with Hoechst and PI LDH apoptotic cell test with color absorbance measurements produced by WST 8, and free radicals produced on cells test by measuring the intensity of fluorescence produced by dichlorofluorescent. The independent variable used is propolis wax concentration. The author also analyzed the components contained in propolis wax using the LC MS method. The results obtained in accordance with the hypothesis that is made of the four tests conducted to find the nature of propolis wax protection against cells exposed to UV radiation but in the greater concentration range of propolis has a tendency to give toxic effects to cells. While on the results of LC MS obtained about 85 compounds in which 35 of them are compounds derived flavonoids and polyphenols that have antioxidant properties. In addition, also found 5 compounds that can cause apoptosis in cells. In conclusion, propolis wax can be used as an alternative treatment of oxidative stress and related diseases in the future and further research is needed to determine the optimum concentration of propolis to prevent from cells toxicity."

"Objective: Garcinia xanthochymus extract has been reported to have several pharmacological properties. This study was conducted to evaluate cytotoxic and anti-inflammatory activities of G. xanthochymus extracts on cell lines. Methods: The roots and stem barks of plant were extracted using maceration method with n-hexane, dichloromethane and methanol, successively. Cytotoxic activity of the extracts was tested against MCF-7 breast adenocarcinoma using MTT assay. Anti-inflammatory study was evaluated using RAW 264.7 mouse macrophage cells. The nitric oxide production in LPS-stimulated cells was measured using Griess reagent. Results: The results of cytotoxic and anti- inflammatory study showed that dichloromethane and n-hexane extracts of root and stem bark exhibited cytotoxic activity in dose-dependent manner. Meanwhile, for anti-inflammatory study, all root extracts together with stem bark dichloromethane and n-hexane extracts reduce NO production in LPS-stimulated cells in dose dependent manner. Conclusions: This finding indicated that G. xanthochymus extracts might become interesting candidate for treatment of cancer and inflammation.;"

"Teknologi terus dikembangkan dalam dunia biomedis untuk menemukan cara pengobatan yang tepat dan murah. Sebuah metode untuk mengukur efekifitas anti mikroba adalah dengan metode uji silinder. Saat ini, pengukuran zona inhibisi masih dilakukan dengan menggunakan caliper atau penggaris. Dalam penelitian ini, sistem instrumentasi untuk deteksi otomatis dan pengukuran zona inhibisi dikembangkan dengan menggunakan teknik pengolahan citra. Sampel zona inhibisi dalam cawan petri ditangkap menggunakan kamera dan diproses secara langsung di komputer. Pada penelitian ini perangkat lunak dibuat dengan memanfaatkan program Matlab berbasis Graphical User Interface GUI. Akhirnya, sistem pengukuran yang diusulkan sangat menjanjikan dan dapat digunakan sebagai alat untuk evaluasi efektivitas anti mikroba.

Technology continues to be developed in the biomedical world to find the right and inexpensive treatment. A method for measuring anti microbial effectiveness is by cup plate method. Currently, inhibition zone measurements are still done manually using a caliper or ruler. In this study, the intrumentation sistem for automatic detection and zone measurement of inhibition was developed using image processing techniques. Samples of inhibition zones in petri dishes were captured using cameras and processed directly on the computer. In this research the software is made by using Matlab program based on Graphical User Interface GUI. Finally, the proposed measurement sistem is very promising and can be used as a tool for evaluation of anti microbial effectiveness.

"

Rubus fraxinifolius dan R. rosifolius merupakan tanaman Rubus yang dapat ditemukan di daerah pegunungan Indonesia. Kedua tanaman memiliki morfologi buah yang mirip yaitu berbentuk berry merah dan edible, serta mengandung senyawa golongan triterpenoid, polifenol dan flavonoid.  Beberapa spesies Rubus dilaporkan memiliki aktivitas sebagai antiaging yaitu antielastase, antioksidan, dan antitirosinase. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah aktivitas antiaging secara in vitro pada ekstrak dan isolat dari tanaman R. fraxinifolius dan R. rosifolius. Batang, buah, dan daun kedua tanaman diekstraksi menggunakan alat Soxhlet serta dilakukan skrining aktivitas anti elastase dan antioksidan.  Selanjutnya terhadap ekstrak terpilih dilakukan pemisahan, fraksinasi dan isolasi senyawa. Isolat yang didapat diidentifikasi menggunakan spektrometri FTIR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, DEPT, HSQC, HMQC, HMBC, dan LC-MS, serta diuji aktivitas antielastase, antitirosinase dan sitotoksisitas pada sel fibroblast secara in vitro. Hasil ekstraksi bertingkat menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak metanol daun R. fraxinifolius memiliki aktivitas antielastase dan antioksidan tertinggi dengan masing-masing IC50 57,45 dan 4,33 µg/ml. Terhadap fraksi metanol daun R. fraxinifolius (DFM) dilakukan pemisahan menggunakan kromatografi cair vakum dan diperoleh 11 fraksi. Uji antielastase fraksi menunjukkan fraksi paling aktif adalah DFM8. Selanjutnya dilakukan isolasi lebih lanjut terhadap DFM8 dan diperoleh 3 isolat. Hasil elusidasi struktur menunjukkan bahwa ketiga isolat merupakan suatu triterpen pentasiklik tipe ursan. Hasil telaah data pengujian DEPT, HMQC, HSQC, HMBC serta IR dan MS disimpulkan senyawa DFM 8a adalah asam 2,3-glikol, 19α-hidroksi-12-ursen-23,28-dioat (C32H48O7, BM 544); DFM8b asam 2,3-propanandiol, 19α-hidroksi-12-ursen-28-oat (C33H52O5, BM 528,38); dan DFM8c asam 2,3-glikol-19α-hidroksi-23,24-nor-12-ursen-28-oat (C30H46O5, BM 486,33). Ketiga senyawa hasil isolasi ini merupakan senyawa baru dan belum pernah ditemukan sebelumnya. Uji aktivitas antielastase senyawa DFM8a, DFM8b, dan DFM8c memiliki IC50 berturut-turut adalah 122,199; 98,22; dan 54,33 µg/ml, serta antitirosinase dengan IC50 207,8; 221,5; dan 335,9 µg/ml. Uji toksisitas menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak DFM, fraksi DFM8, dan isolat DFM8b tidak toksik terhadap sel fibroblas NIH/3T3.


Rubus fraxinifolius and R. rosifolius are Rubus genus, which can be found in the mountain of Indonesia. Both plants have similar fruit morphology: red and edible berries and contain triterpenoid, polyphenols, and flavonoids. Some species of Rubus are reported to have antiaging activity, antielastase, antioxidant, and antityrosinase. This study aims to examine the in vitro antiaging activity of extracts and isolated compounds from R. fraxinifolius and R. rosifolius. The stems, fruits, and leaves of both plants were extracted and screened for antielastase and antioxidant activity. Furthermore, the selected extracts were separated, fractionated, and isolated to yield isolates. The obtained isolates were identified using FTIR spectrometry, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, DEPT, HSQC, HMQC, HMBC, and LC-MS, and also were tested for antielastase, antityrosinase, and cytotoxicity activities in fibroblast cells. The continuous extraction results showed that the methanol extract of R. fraxinifolius leaves had the highest antielastase and antioxidant activity with IC50 57.45 ppm and 4.33 ppm, respectively. The methanol fraction of R. fraxinifolius (DFM) leaves were separated using vacuum liquid chromatography and obtained 11 fractions. The antielastase assay of fractions gave the most active fraction was DFM8. Then, further isolation of DFM8 was carried out, and three isolates were obtained. The structural elucidation showed that the three isolates were ursane-type of pentacyclic triterpenes. The results of DEPT, HMQC, HSQC, HMBC, IR and MS spectrometry test concluded that the compound DFM 8a was 2,3-glycol, 19α-hydroxy-12-ursen-23,28-dioic acid (C32H48O7, MW 544); DFM8b 2,3-propanandiol, 19α-hydroxy-12-ursen-28-oic acid (C33H52O5, MW 528.38); and DFM8c 2,3-glycol-19α-hydroxy-23,24-nor-urs-12-en-28-oic acid (C30H46O5, MW 486.33). All isolated compounds are new compounds and have never been found before. The IC50 of antielastase activity of DFM8a, DFM8b, and DFM8c were 122.199; 98.22; and 54.33 ppm, respectively, and the IC50 of antityrosinase activity were 207.8; 221.5; and 335.9 ppm, respectively. Toxicity tests showed that the DFM extract, the DFM8 fraction, and the DFM8b were not toxic to NIH/3T3 fibroblast cells.

"Nyeri neuropatik merupakan rasa sakit akibat gangguan susunan saraf dengan prevalensi penderita sekitar 7 hingga 10 persen populasi dunia. Pengobatan alternatif menggunakan jamu herbal diajukan sebagai pengobatan minim efek samping dan harga terjangkau. Pada penelitian ini, akan dilakukan perbandingan fenolik pada ekstrak cair dan padat Jamu Turun Tegang Saraf (TTS) yang terbuat dari pala (Myristica fragrans), cengkeh (Syzyangium aromaticum) dan jahe (Zingiber officinale) serta pengujian in silico aktivitas antiinflamasi senyawa aktif jamu. Ekstrak cair dihasilkan dari refluks air bahan segar dan bubuk simplisia sedangkan bubuk ekstrak dihasilkan dari pengeringan oven dan pengeringan beku. Total fenolik pada ekstrak cair bahan segar dan bubuk simplisia tertinggi diperoleh sebesar 298,5 mg GAE per L dan 983,3 mg GAE/L pada konsentrasi 100.000 ppm. Total fenolik pada bubuk ekstrak pengeringan oven dan pengeringan beku diperoleh 281,7 mg GAE per L dan 999,6 mg GAE per L. Analisis LC MS ekstrak jamu menunjukkan adanya senyawa seperti gingerol, shogaol, myristicin, eugenol, adenine, dan chlorogenic acid. Pengeringan baik oven dan pengeringan beku menurunkan luas area pada senyawa aktif, tetapi pengeringan beku memiliki pengaruh penurunan lebih kecil. Berdasarkan pengujian in silico menggunakan perangkat lunak MOE, didapatkan hasil berupa afinitas pengikatan yang tinggi antara senyawa aktif Jamu TTS sebagai ligan termodifikasi dengan protein siklooksigenase (COX 1 dan COX 2) sebagai penyebab inflamasi.

Neuropathic pain is pain due to nervous system disorders with a prevalence of sufferers around 7 to 10 percent of the world's population. Alternative medicine using herbal medicine is proposed as a treatment with minimal side effects and affordable prices. In this study, a comparison of phenolics will be carried out on liquid and solid extracts of Jamu Neuropathic Pain Reducer (NPR) made from nutmeg (Myristica fragrans), cloves (Syzyangium aromaticum) and ginger (Zingiber officinale) as well as in silico testing of anti-inflammatory activity of active compounds of herbs. The liquid extract is produced from water reflux of fresh material and simplisia powder while the extract powder is produced from oven drying and freeze drying. The highest total phenolics in fresh ingredient liquid extract and simplisia powder were obtained at 298.5 mg GAE per L and 983.3 mg GAE per L at a concentration of 100,000 ppm. Total phenolics in oven drying and freeze-drying extract powder obtained 281.7 mg GAE per L and 999.6 mg GAE per L. LC MS analysis of herbal extracts showed the presence of compounds such as gingerol, shogaol, myristicin, eugenol, adenine, and chlorogenic acid. Both oven drying and freeze drying decrease the area of the active compound, but freeze drying has a smaller decreasing effect. Based on molecular docking simulations using MOE software, results were obtained in the form of high binding affinity between the active compound of Jamu NPR as a modified ligand with cyclooxygenase proteins (COX 1 and COX 2) as the key role in inflammation."

"Infeksi Saluran Pernapasan Akut (ISPA) merupakan salah satu penyakit pada saluran pernapasan yang disebabkan oleh infeksi virus maupun bakteri serta merupakan penyebab utama kematian akibat penyakit infeksi di dunia. Salah satu jamu herbal Indonesia yang sudah terbukti secara empiris sebagai penurun gejala ISPA adalah jamu adem panas. Jamu ini memiliki bahan utama berupa kencur (Kaempferia galangal L.) dan lengkuas (Alpinia galanga), yang dimana keduanya memiliki kandungan bioaktif dengan beragam efek farmakologis seperti antiinflamasi, antivirus, antibakteri, antioksidan, analgesik, dan anti-piretik. Penelitian ini terbagi menjadi 3 fase penelitian pengkajian lebih lanjut pada jamu adem panas. Fase pertama merupakan proses ekstraksi dengan metode maserasi kinetik yang memiliki tujuan untuk memperoleh kondisi operasi ekstraksi jamu adem panas terbaik. Fase kedua adalah pengujian in silico yang terdiri dari pengujian molecular docking, dan pemodelan reaksi enzimatik sebagai fase ketiga untuk meninjau aktivitas inhibisi antara komponen bioaktif jamu adem panas (Ethyl-p-methoxycinnamate (EPMC), Eucalyptol, a-Pinene, dan Eugenol) dengan protein yang berperan dalam peradangan akibat infeksi seperti IL-1β, iNOS, dan COX-2. Pengujian kondisi operasi ekstraksi menunjukkan konsentrasi fitokimia tertinggi dihasilkan pada suhu 50oC dengan pelarut etanol 96% selama 45 menit. Berdasarkan tahapan penelitian molecular docking dengan menggunakan program Molecular Operating Environment (MOE), didapatkan hasil berupa bukti interaksi inhibisi zat aktif jamu adem panas dan obat standar (Ibuprofen) terhadap protein berupa energi ikatan bebas dan konstanta inhibisi. Pada pemodelan reaksi enzimatik, didapatkan bahwa setiap dosis memiliki kemampuan inhibisi yang baik, bahkan dosis optimal ditetapkan pada dosis terendah yaitu 2400 mg ekstrak, karena mampu menghambat aktivitas protein yang berperan dalam infeksi hingga 100%. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa gejala ISPA dapat diatasi hanya dengan obat antiinflamasi alternatif berupa ramuan sederhana yaitu jamu adem panas.

Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) is one of the diseases of the respiratory tract caused by viral and bacterial infections. It is the leading cause of death from infectious diseases in the world. One of the Indonesian herbal medicines that have been empirically proven to reduce the symptoms of ARI is Jamu Adem Panas. This herbal medicine has the main ingredients of kencur (Kaempferia galangal L.) and lengkuas (Alpinia galanga), both of which have bioactive content with various pharmacological effects such as anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antibacterial, antioxidant, analgesic, and anti-pyretic. This research is divided into three research phases for further study on Jamu Adem Panas. The first phase is an extraction process using kinetic maceration method, which aims to obtain the best Jamu Adem Panas extraction operating conditions. The second phase was in silico testing, which consisted of molecular docking testing and modeling of the enzymatic reaction as the third phase to review the inhibitory activity between the bioactive components of Jamu Adem Panas (Ethyl-p-methoxycinnamate (EPMC), Eucalyptol, -Pinene, and Eugenol) with proteins that play a role in inflammation due to infection such as IL-1β, iNOS, and COX-2. The extraction operating conditions test showed that the highest concentration of phytochemicals was produced at a temperature of 50oC with 96% ethanol solvent for 45 minutes. Based on the phase of molecular docking research using Molecular Operating Environment (MOE) program, the results obtained were evidence of the interaction of the active substance of Jamu Adem Panas and standard drug (ibuprofen) on protein in the form of free binding energy and inhibition constants. In the modeling of the enzymatic reaction, it was found that each dose had an excellent inhibitory ability; even the optimal dose was set at the lowest dose of 2400 mg extract because it was able to inhibit the activity of proteins that play a role in infection up to 100%. From this study, it can be concluded that the symptoms of ARI can be overcome only with alternative anti-inflammatory drugs in simple ingredients, namely herbal medicine for hot air."
