"This book places Indonesia at the forefront of the global debate about the impact of "disruptive" digital technologies. Digital technology is fast becoming the core of life, work, culture and identity. Yet, while the number of Indonesians using the Internet has followed the upward global trend, some groups - the poor, the elderly, women, the less well-educated, people living in remote communities - are disadvantaged. This interdisciplinary collection of essays by leading researchers and scholars, as well as e-governance and e-commerce insiders, examines the impact of digitalisation on the media industry, governance, commerce, informal sector employment, education, cybercrime, terrorism, religion, artistic and cultural expression, and much more. It presents groundbreaking analysis of the impact of digitalisation in one of the world's most diverse, geographically vast nations. In weighing arguments about the opportunities and challenges presented by digitalisation, it puts the very idea of a technological "revolution" into critical perspective."

Priemel, Kim Christian
"At the end of world war II the allies faced a threefold challenge: how to punish perpetrators of appalling crimes for which the categories of genocide and crimes against humanity had to be coined; how to explain that these had been committed by Germany, of all nations; and how to reform Germans. The answer to this triple conundrum was the application of historical reasoning to legal procedure. In the Nuremberg trials held between 1945 and 1949, a concerted effort was made to punish key perpetrators while at the same time analysing the Nazi state and recounting German history. Building on a long debate about Germanys divergence from a presumed Western path of development, Allied prosecutors sketched out how Germany had betrayed the Western model. The prosecutors laid out how private enterprise, academic science, the military, and the civil service, which looked ostensibly similar to their opposite numbers in the Allied nations, had been corrupted in Germany even before Hitlers rise to power. While the argument, depending on individual protagonists, subject matters, and contexts, met with uneven success in court, it offered a final twist against the backdrop of the Cold War: although Germany had lost its way, it could still be brought back into the Western fold. The first comprehensive study of the Nuremberg trials, The Betrayal explores this process and sheds light on how history underpins transitional trials as we encounter them in todays courtrooms from Arusha to The Hague."

"Tax scholars traditionally emphasize economics and assume that all tax systems can be evaluated in more or less the same way. By applying the insights of anthropology, sociology, and other social sciences, Michael A. Livingston demonstrates that tax systems frequently pursue different values and that the convergence of tax systems is frequently overstated. In Tax and Culture, he applies these insights to specific countries, such as China and India, and specific tax issues, including progressivity, tax avoidance, and the emerging area of environmental taxation. Livingston concludes that the concept of a global tax culture is, in many cases, merely a reflection of Western hegemony, and is unlikely to survive the changes implicit in the rise of non-Western nations and cultures."

"The present study set out from the condition that Indonesia has many counter-terror units each of which executes order from different institutions. Therefore, there are many questions about effectiveness and efficiency of the current counter terrorism management system. In the operational level, it creates some problems on response, and also problem on ruling, preventing, and problem on policy coordination.
In terms of research methodology, the present study is planned to pattern the case-study research strategy and collects data from interview, observation, and document searching. On the other hand, research is conducted in three stages: planning, actuating, and reporting.
Using modeling approach, the present study analyzes current Indonesian Counter-Terrorism System whether it uses convergence and divergence approach in order to improve counter-terror system in Indonesia. Convergence approach consists of clustering model and integration model. Meanwhile divergence approach consists of coordination model and networking model.
The organizational structure of counter-terror system, which is formed pooled interdependence model. is marked by internal dynamics which, among others, are reflected both in fractionalization and disappointed expectations and which manifest themselves in differences of the traditional war /whims as well as differences of perception and evaluation among military leadership. This present study proposes alternative by using Convergence Model in the organizational structure of Counter-Terror Management System. Building preventive culture is also recommended."

Proses pengiriman pesan dilakukan secara send to many yang memanfaatkan metode looping. Hal yang diperlukan adalah system database kelurahan dan system pengiriman pesan. Dari system kelurahan akan didapatkan nomor ID untuk setiap individu. Nomor ID inilah yang akan menjadi input pada system pengiriman pesan. Handphone hanya digunakan sebagai pintu gerbang keluarnya pesan. Dengan layanan send to many ini pesan dapat sampai di beberapa nomor tujuan dalam waktu yang relative singkat.

Nowadays, DBD cases still increase. This can occur because of less rapid delivery DBD case to the people around. Therefore it is needed a way to quickly provide information about the case to the people around. The way is done by using the sms service on mobile phones. The delivery message process is done using a send to many way which is using a looping method. The required thing are the database system and information system of DBD case. The database system products ID number of every individual. From ID number, we can get the individual information. Then, This number will be used as input into the information system of DBD. Handphone is just used as a gate to send a message. By Send to many service, a message will be received at the some destination number in the relatively short time."
