Melalui proses PKPA di industri farmasi dan apotek tersebut, calon apoteker diharapkan mampu memperoleh pengalaman, pengetahuan, wawasan, dan keterampilan yang sesuai untuk melakukan pekerjaan kefarmasian.

Seorang apoteker dibekali keilmuan terkait farmasi industri dan farmasi klinis secara keseluruhan dan harus memenuhi standar kompetensi sebagai persyaratan untuk memasuki dunia kerja dan menjalani praktik profesi. Standar kompetensi apoteker Indonesia terdiri dari 10 (sepuluh) standar kompetensi sebagai kemampuan yang diharapkan oleh apoteker pada saat lulus dan masuk ke tempat praktik kerja profesi. A pharmacist is equipped with knowledge related to industrial pharmacy and clinical pharmacy as a whole and a must competency standards as a requirement to enter the workplace and undergo professional practice. The competency standards of Indonesian pharmacists consist of 10 (ten) competency standards as the abilities expected by pharmacists when they graduate and enter the place of professional work practice. The internship is held at PT Ethica Industri Farmasi for the period 10 January – 3 March 2022 and Apotek Roxy Perwira for the period April 2022. Salah Satu bentuk partisipasi tersebut adalah dilakukan dengan diadakannya Praktek Kerja Profesi Apoteker (PKPA) yang dijalani oleh calon apoteker sebagai bekal dan pengalaman untuk memahami peran apoteker dan meningkatkan kompetensi sebelum memasuki dunia profesional. Through PKPA in pharmacies and industries, prospective pharmacists are expected to be able to gain insight, knowledge, skills, and experience to practice pharmacy."

Pengalaman bekerja di industri farmasi dan apotek dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan, wawasan, keterampilan, serta sikap profesional yang dibutuhkan sebagai seorang apoteker.

The Professional Practice of Pharmacist in pharmaceutical industry is held at Sanofi Indonesia PT. Aventis Pharma in January – February 2022 while Professional Practice of Pharmacist in pharmacy is held at Apotek Kimia Farma 298 Bendungan Hilir in April 2022. The experience of internship in pharmaceutical industry and pharmacy can increase the knowledge, insight, as well as the professional attitude that is required as a pharmacist."
