"Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimental yang bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh informasi terhadap bias zero-sum pada sumber daya tangible dan intangible. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain between subject posttest only. DV dari penelitian ini adalah bias zero-sum. IV (informasi) dimanipulasi dengan cara induksi teks. Kelompok eksperimen diberikan teks berisi informasi untuk menurunkan bias zero-sum, sedangkan kelompok kontrol tidak diberikan teks apa pun. Moderator pada penelitan ini adalah persepsi sumber daya yang terbagi menjadi dua, yakni tangible dan intangible. Sebanyak 124 partisipan direkrut melalui media sosial Line dan WhatsApp. Hasil cek manipulasi menunjukkan bahwa manipulasi berhasil namun hasil analisis uji beda tidak membuktikan adanya pengaruh informasi dan jenis sumber daya terhadap bias zero-sum. Melalui analisis independent sample t test ditunjukkan hasil bahwa terdapat perbedaan pengambilan keputusan yang mungkin mempengaruhi bias zero-sum, yaitu pengambilan keputusan dependent.
This study is a quantitative study with an experimental design with the purpose of testing the effect of information to zero-sum bias in tangible and intangible resources. This study uses a between-subject posttest only design. The dependent variable of this study is zero-sum bias. The Independent variable (information) is manipulated by text induction. The experiment group is given a text containing information to reduce zero-sum bias, meanwhile the control group is not given any text. The moderator variable in this study is the perception of resources that is divided into tangible and intangible resources. As many as 124 participants were recruited by the Line and WhatsApp social media. The result of manipulation check shows that the manipulation succeded. However, the results independent samples t test does not prove any effect of information and perception of resources. Through the further analysis, it was shown the result that there might be a difference in decision making that might influence zero-sum bias, which is the dependent decision making variable."

"Tugas akademik yang diberikan guru dapat menimbulkan kebutuhan informasi siswa. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan informasi tersebut, siswa dapat melakukan pencarian informasi dengan cara yang berbeda-beda satu sama lain. Diketahui pada SMAIT As-Syifa Boarding School yang merupakan sekolah berbasis Islami, terdapat tambahan mata pelajaran mengenai ajaran Islam yang dapat menimbulkan kebutuhan informasi yang lebih luas dan beragam. Ditemukan pula bahwa kebutuhan dan perilaku pencarian informasi siswa belum diketahui dengan pasti. Adapun literatur yang tersedia tentang kebutuhan dan perilaku pencarian informasi di sekolah berasrama berbasis Islami masih belum banyak. Penelitian ini mencakup bahasan kebutuhan informasi siswa SMAIT As-Syifa dalam memenuhi tugas, perilaku pencarian informasi dalam memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut, serta hambatan dalam pencarian informasi yang dibutuhkan tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan studi literatur. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah teknik random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam memenuhi tugas, mayoritas siswa membutuhkan informasi untuk mata pelajaran IPA atau IPS, membutuhkan internet dan situs internet, memanfaatkan buku referensi, serta melakukan pencarian informasi mendalam dan menyusun hasil temuan informasi yang relevan. Selain itu, siswa merasa kebingungan ketika tidak dapat menemukan informasi yang dibutuhkan, serta kesulitan dalam mengakses komputer atau laptop.
Academic tasks from teachers can stimulate students’ information needs. To fulfill it, students can search for information in different ways amongst the students. It is known at SMAIT As-Syifa Boarding School which is an Islamic-based boarding school, there are additional subjects of Islamic teachings which can lead to more diverse and broad information needs for students. It was also found that students’ needs and behavior in seeking information to fulfill tasks were not known. Moreover, the literature on information needs and information-seeking behavior in Islamic boarding schools that available is still quite a few. This study discussed the information needs of SMAIT As-Syifa students in fulfilling academic tasks, information-seeking behavior conducted to meet these information needs, as well as barriers when seeking information to meet these information needs. The method used descriptive quantitative, and the data collection techniques used questionnaires, literature studies, and documentation. The sampling technique used random sampling technique. The findings revealed that in fulfilling the tasks, the majority of students needed information on science or social studies subjects, needed the internet and internet sites, used reference books, conducted in-depth searches and compiled information search results. Apart from that, they felt confused when they did not find the information needed, and troubled to access computers or laptops."

"Tesis ini membahas hubungan literasi informasi dengan publikasi hasil penelitian peneliti di Pusat Penelitian Bioteknologi - LIPI. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menyarankan bahwa peneliti khususnya di lingkungan Pusat Penelitian Bioteknologi - LIPI lebih mengekplorasi dan mengembangkan kemampuan literasi informasi; pengembangan strategi organisasi berupa pembuatan program literasi informasi; perlunya keterlibatan perpustakaan dalam kegiatan literasi informasi.
The focus of this study is analyzing the relationship between researchers? information literacy with publications of research results that existed at the Research Center of Biotechnology - LIPI. The type of this research is a quantitative study with descriptive approach. The results suggest that researchers, especially in the Biotechnology Research Center - LIPI to explore and develop information literacy skills; construct organizational strategies such as information literacy programming; involvement of the library in information literacy activities."

In this book, Duff offers a prescriptive theory to help to guide the academic and policy communities as they debate the future shape of emerging post-industrial, information-based societies.
