"Walaupung fungsinya sangat penting, banyak praktisi dalam dunia procurement dan purchasing di berbagai belahan dunia masih memiliki kendala dalam mengembangkan sebuah strategi yang baik terhadap sourcing. Banyak masih menganggap bahwa pendekatan sourcing adalah untuk mendapatkan harga terendah dan melupakan potensi sesungguhnya dalam sourcing. Sourcing sudah tidak lagi sebatas fungsi transaksional, tetapi sudah menjadi fungsi yang strategis yang terintegrasi dengan strategi perusahaan. Ini merupakan sebuah masalah dan lebih lagi mengingat bahwa tantangan dalam sourcing akan terus meningkat seiringan dengan meningkatnya tren global sourcing.
Untuk membantu para sumber daya yang bergerak di bidang sourcing dalam memahami proses pengembangan strategi sourcing, sebuah serious simulation game diaujukan sebagai alternatif solusi. Serious simulation game telah digunakan untuk tujuan pedagogi dalam berbagai bidang seperti rantai pasokan, simulasi bisnis, kesehatan, dan militer. Lingkungan permainan yang ditawarkan memberikan media pembelajaran yang immersive dan dapat meningkatkan proses pembelajaran pesertanya. Permainan yang telah dirancang dalam penelitian kali ini membuktikan sebuah indikasi bahwa serious simulation game dapat digunakan untuk tujuan pedagogi. Selain itu, serious simulation game juga dilihat sebagai media pembelajaran yang cocok untuk generasi millennial.

Despite the importance of its functionality, research shows that many of the world procurement and purchasing specialist around the world are still having trouble in developing and implementing an effective strategy towards sourcing Some still perceive the approach in sourcing is to find the lowest cost and ignores the true potential of sourcing. Sourcing is no longer a transactional function, but is a strategic one which is integrated with the firm strategy. This is a problem as the challenge in sourcing will rise especially with the rising trend of global sourcing.
In order to help the professionals to gain a better understanding of sourcing strategy development process, a serious simulation game is presented as a solution. Serious simulation game has been used in many pedagogical purposes throughout different fields such as supply chain management, business simulation, medical and military. The gaming environment creates an immersive learning medium and therefore is able to improve the learning process of its participants. The game presented in this research proves another indication of a possible pedagogical use of a serious simulation game. Serious simulation game is seen as a suitable learning medium especially for the millennials

"The research was conducted with the empirical study of implementing the strategic alliances on a complete learning framework’s dimension: relationship capital, surfacing, joint learning structures, and knowledge acquisition. As a result, strategic alliances create dynamic learning, integration, and reconfiguration capabilities to achieve strategic alliance performance. In addition, this research also studies mediation's function on dynamic capability to strategic alliance performance. The result answered the research problem in this research: the high failure rate of strategic alliance implementation in the partial learning framework. The research uses the quantitative method. The interview was conducted as an additional explanatory function.

Penelitian dilakukan dengan studi empiris penerapan aliansi strategis pada dimensi kerangka pembelajaran lengkap: modal hubungan, permukaan, struktur pembelajaran bersama, dan perolehan pengetahuan. Hasilnya, aliansi strategis menciptakan pembelajaran dinamis, integrasi, dan kemampuan konfigurasi ulang untuk mencapai kinerja aliansi strategis. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengkaji fungsi mediasi pada kapabilitas dinamis terhadap kinerja aliansi strategis. Hasil tersebut menjawab permasalahan penelitian dalam penelitian ini: tingginya tingkat kegagalan implementasi aliansi strategis pada kerangka pembelajaran parsial. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Wawancara dilakukan sebagai fungsi penjelasan tambahan."

"Alliance is becoming an essential feature in today's intensely competitive market as a means of facilitating market entry, acquiring new technology, leveraging economies of scale, and enhancing new product development capabilities. Recently, alliances have been linked to the organizational learning literature where alliances create environments for learning and knowledge transfer. This phenomenon is the main purpose of this paper, where it will define and discuss the key facilitating learning elements in strategic alliances. The study used an in-depth case study method. Two respondent organizations were used to gather data for the purpose of the study. One case was from the manufacturing sector and the other is from the service sector. Both entered into alliances with learning from foreign parent partner as one of the key objectives. The final part of the paper will summarize the findings and suggest key elements promoting learning from foreign parent partner to the ?child businesses in the case of international strategic alliance which include learning as one of their alliance objectives."
