"ABSTRAKKonsep diri terbentuk dari interaksi seseorang dengan orang lain serta lingkungan. Anak-anak di Indonesia yang melakukan tindakan kriminal ditempatkan di Lembaga Khusus Pembinaan Anak LPKA dan dapat mempengaruhi konsep diri karena memiliki lingkungan tempat tinggal yang berbeda dengan anak yang berada di luar LPKA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan karakteristik dengan konsep diri pada anak di Lembaga Khusus Pembinaan Anak Tangerang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dan menggunakan sampel sebanyak 171 narapidana anak usia 9 - 18 tahun dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner Tennese Self Concept TSCS dengan nilai Alpha Cronbach rsquo;s 0,944. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan antara usia, pendidikan dan penyebab penahanan dengan konsep diri nilai p > 0,05 . Sebaliknya, terdapat hubungan antara konsep diri dengan lama masa penahanan, suku, dan dukungan keluarga nilai p < 0,05 . Proses pembinaan pada narapidana anak di LPKA perlu dengan mengoptimalkan fasilitas, tenaga yang ada, serta dukungan keluarga.

ABSTRACTSelf concept is formed from one 39 s interaction with others and the environment. Children in Indonesia who commit crimes are placed in the Special Institution for Child Development LPKA and may influence the concept of self because it has a different living environment with children outside the LPKA. This study aims to determine the relationship characteristics with self concept in children in Special Institution of Child Development Tangerang. This research is descriptive research and use sample as many as 171 convict children aged 9 18 years by using random sampling technique. Data collection using Tennese Self Concept TSCS questionnaire with Alpha Cronbach 39 s value 0.944. The results showed that there was no correlation between age, education and causes of self concept detention p 0,05 . Conversely, there is a relationship between self concept and duration of detention, ethnicity, and family support."
