Globally, female’s economic participation is generally lower compared to the male’s. Family-oriented policies, which comprise of policies targeted to parents to support them during childbearing and childrearing period, are implemented in many countries to address the gender gap in economic participation. However, literatures suggest that the effects of different type of the family policies in increasing women’s labour force participation have been varied. This study examines different types of family policies, particularly family leave entitlements and family benefits, that affect women’s overall labour force participation and their share in part time work. This study uses Pooled OLS with data series collected from 30 OECD countries from the year 2000 to 2018. The result of the analysis shows that all indicators of family-oriented policies improve female labour force participation rate, however their effects are bounded at a certain threshold. Maternity and paternity leave showed to have an inverted U-curve relationship, which shows a positive relationship between family leave entitlements and female labour force participation. However, after reaching the optimum weeks, extended leave would decrease women’s participation."

This thesis has three aims, i.e: first, to examine the laws No. 1011992 on population and prosperous family, particularly the five articles regaring family planning, second, how was the policy of family planning implemented in East Jakarta and third, what was the implication toward women who became family planning acceptors, particularly those who get the implants from a free of charge implant programme, organized by the Jakarta family planning office, using the sub-district office. The research subject were women who experienced implant services provided by the BKKB DKI Jakarta team, in a sub-district of East Jakarta.
The methodology used in this research were field observations and several in depth interviews with family planning field workers and health cadres who were involved in the recruitment of potential acceptors. Some midwives who provided the implant services were also interviewed. Feminist population policy approach was used, which implied the concept of reproductive health and rights, as well as quality of care.
The research findings show that Indonesia family planning policy emphasized on the responsibility of women who should be acceptors since population growth was considered very much related to economic growth. Implant is the most effective contraceptive which can be controlled by the provided up to 3-5 years. Since the implant programme was provided outside the clinic, using the sub district office, and served 60 women at once, itu was far from a quality of care standard which introduced by Judith Bruce and Adrienne Germaine. Under the very crowded condition, the potential implant acceptors did not received quality of care services, which required good counseling, in a separate and quite room, as well as a high medical standard procedure during the inserting of the implant The tools used were not enough for every women and it was no good sterilized. In order to reach the highest possible standard of reproductive health services for the Indonsian womwn itu needs a transformation of society based on gender justice, based on respect to women and not treat then as second class citizen. The reproductive health services (including family planning services) should not be discriminating based on social economic status. Every woman should be treated equally and be given the full opportunity to exercise they rights. Woman should be empowered through good and accurate information and counseling on reproductive health matters.

The evidence suggests that there has been a significant increase in violence against Indonesian women migrant workers in the period 2004-2010 and it is show that the quality of the protection policy in the Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono era, has not conveyed a protection perspective. The political participation of the informal actor in the policy making process such as the women?s migrant workers movement and the interest groups of migrant workers is very necessary in the process of democratization in Indonesia.
As a theoretical framework, this research used the representation and women?s political participation in the policy theory of Joni Lovenduski and the socialist feminism theory from Iris Young as the main theory. The research method used is qualitative. The research type is a descriptive analysis and used a purposive sampling for doing interviews with women migrant workers currently working or had ever worked in Malaysia. The data collection method is by indepth interview and document study.
The research for this study found that the political participation of the women migrant workers? movement and the interest groups of migrant workers such as NGO?s and workers? associations in the policy making process is not being given proper attention yet in the Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono era. Their political participation is still in the classification as marginal and not as an insider. That classification means that the gender policy debate almost totally overlook the protection policy toward migrant workers. The concept of capitalism and patriarchy that occurred towards the placement of Indonesian women migrant workers has caused Indonesian women migrant workers to experience violence in all phases of the pre-placement, placement and post-placement processes, especially for those who work or have worked in Malaysia.
The theory implication shows that the theory of Lovenduski which stated that when the women?s movement and interest groups of migrant workers are supported by the state and becomes an insider, then the women?s political participation can increase, but as yet this has not happened in Indonesia. The labeling of the domesticity area for women migrant workers and the absence of women?s empowerment during the Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono era of 2004- 2010, lends further support to the oppression of women migrant workers and as capitalistic in nature and as a form of patriarchal payment like that which Iris Young described in her theory.

Due to the implementation of cosmetic notification policy in ASEAN countries, cosmetic industries haven been considered to have higher responsibility for both the quality and safety of their products. In addition to this, cosmetics are easier to be distributed and consumers have a various option of cosmetics. Without adequate knowledge, consumers, especially women, remain to use cosmetics that contain hazardous substances. This study aims to analyze the cosmetic notification policy under ASEAN to protect women from consuming unsafe cosmetics. This study conducted with field survey of households in five areas in Jakarta with 200 women respondents. The result shows that cosmetic notification policy has not been fully effective in giving protection for women from unsafe cosmetics. Moreover, many cosmetics which have been distributed, have no registration or notification number, counterfeiting, containing hazardous materials indicated that the manufacturers or importers of cosmetics do not reflecting responsibility of the quality and safety of those products.

The focus of this study is the Impact of Banking Recapitalization Bonds Policy on banking and state budget performance. This study is a descriptive qualitative research design. Theory used is Dunn's theory about Public Policy and Bromley's theory about the hierarchy of Public Policy. Data collected through literature study, secondary data collection and provided in-depth interviews.
The results found the existence of some new facts that the policy of Recap Bonds has made banks that had once been dying to operate again as a normal bank. But unfortunately, the policy objectives of banking recap for sick banks could perform their intermediation function just does not run optimally. In the fiscal sector, the policy has made a lame Bond fiscal sector (state budget) in national development drives.
This research suggest that the government should stop the development model of economic. If this model is not terminated, the surplus economy of the Indonesian people will continue to be sucked out of the country."
