"Penelitian ini membahas tentang makna revolusi dua esai Amin Ar-Rayhani dalam buku Ar-Ar-Rayhaniyyāt (The Ar-Rayhani Essays) yang berjudul Ats-Tsauratu Al-Ifransiyyatu (French Revolution) dan Ats-Tsauratu Al-Ḥaqīqiyyatu (The Real Revolution). Kedua esai tersebut akan dibahas peneliti dalam penelitian ini dengan pendekatan teori revolusi. Tujuan penelitian dilakukan untuk menjelaskan makna revolusi pada dua esainya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan historis dan data yang diperoleh dari studi pustaka dengan sumber data dari buku, artikel, jurnal, skripsi, dan karya ilmiah yang lainnya. Teori yang digunakan bersumber dari enam jenis revolusi yang dikemukakan Chalmers Johnson. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, esai pertama yang berjudul Ats-Tsauratu Al-Ifransiyyatu (French Revolution) termasuk ke dalam esai argumentasi dan esai kedua, Ats-Tsauratu Al-Ḥaqīqiyyatu (The Real Revolution) termasuk ke dalam esai narasi, dan keduanya dikategorikan dalam jenis revolusi Conspirational Coup de'Etat.

This research discusses the meaning of the revolution of Amin Ar-Rayhani's two essays in the books Ar-Rayhaniyyāt (The Ar-Rayhani Essays) entitled Ats-Tsauratu Al-Ifransiyyatu (French Revolution) and Ats-Tsauratu Al-Ḥaqīqiyyatu (The Real Revolution). The two essays will be discussed by researchers in this study with a revolution theory approach. The purpose of the study was to explain the meaning of revolution in his two essays. The research method used by researchers is a qualitative research method with a historical approach and data obtained from literature studies with data sources from books, articles, journals, theses, and other scientific works. The theory used is derived from the six types of revolutions proposed by Chalmers Johnson. Based on the results of the study, the first essay entitled Ats-Tsauratu Al-Ifransiyyatu (French Revolution) is included in the argumentation essay and the second essay, Ats-Tsauratu Al-Ḥaqīqiyyatu (The Real Revolution) is included in the narrative essay, and both are categorized in the Conspirational Coup de'Etat type of revolution."

"Artikel ini membahas identitas in-between narator Aku dalam teks esai Pourquoi j’écris karya Henri Lopes. Secara garis besar, teks esai ini menjelaskan alasan dan tujuan narator Aku menulis. Tujuan artikel ini adalah untuk membahas bagaimana posisi dan identitas in-between narator Aku diperlihatkan dalam esai Pourquoi j’écris. Artikel ini menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui analisis struktur tekstual yang kemudian dikaitkan dengan konteks latar belakang penulis, yaitu Henri Lopes. Analisis struktur tekstual dilakukan untuk menemukan makna esai dan posisi penulis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan posisi dan identitas in-between narator Aku diperlihatkan melalui pemikirannya dalam esai yang dipengaruhi dua identitas latar belakangnya yang berbeda, yaitu sebagai bagian dari orang Kongo dan Belgia.

This article discusses the identity in-between of narrator ‘I’ in the essay of Henri Lopès, Pourquoi j'écris. Broadly speaking, this essay explains the reasons and purpose of why narrator ‘I’ started writing. The purpose of this article is to explains how the narrator’s position and identity in-between are represented in the essay. This article used a qualitative method through textual structure analysis which is then linked to the context of the author's background, namely Henri Lopes. Textual structure analysis was conducted to find the meaning of the essay and the writer's position. The results showed that the narrator’s position and identity in-between was shown through his thoughts in the text which was influenced by two different cultural identities, namely as part of the Congolese and Belgian."

"ABSTRAKJurnal ini membahas gaya bahasa pada dua karya esai Styrofoam Sesang dan Smartphone Gwisin karya Shin Hyeonlim. Shin Hyeonlim adalah penulis yang memiliki gaya menulis yang unik. Dalam dua esai ini ditemukan gaya bahasa simile atau persamaan. Jurnal ini ditulis dengan metode kualitatif dengan penjabaran deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya bahasa yang digunakan oleh Shin Hyeonlim dalam kedua esai ini adalah gaya bahasa simile atau persamaan. Gaya bahasa simile membantu pembaca dalam memahami apa maksud penulis tanpa harus menggunakan kalimat yang terlalu panjang dan rumit.

ABSTRACT

This journal discusses the using of language style on two essays, Styrofoam Sesang and Smartphone Gwisin by Shin Hyeonlim. Shin Hyeonlim?s essays are those essays that had uniqueness on their writings. There can be found simile language style on these two essays. In this journal, the writer will use qualitative method with descriptive explanation and stylistic analysis. From this research analysis, it can be found the language that Shin Hyeonlim used is simile language style or similiarity style. Through this research too writer found out that the use of simile language style can help the readers understand what the author of the essays want to convey with her essays without using long and complicated sentences."
