"This book covers the different aspects of modern 3D multimedia technologies by addressing several elements of 3D visual communications systems, using diverse content formats, such as stereo video, video-plus-depth and multiview, and coding schemes for delivery over networks. It also presents the latest advances and research results in regards to objective and subjective quality evaluation of 3D visual content, extending the human factors affecting the perception of quality to emotional states.
The contributors describe technological developments in 3D visual communications, with particular emphasis on state-of-the-art advances in acquisition of 3D visual scenes and emerging 3D visual representation formats, such as, multi-view plus depth and light field; evolution to freeview and light-field representation; compression methods and robust delivery systems; and coding and delivery over various channels.
Simulation tools, testbeds and datasets that are useful for advanced research and experimental studies in the field of 3D multimedia delivery services and applications are covered. The international group of contributors also explore the research problems and challenges in the field of immersive visual communications, in order to identify research directions with substantial economic and social impact.

"Tesis ini membahas tentang strategi Telkomsel Regional Jabotabek dalam meningkatkan pendapatannya. Dimana melihat kondisi persaingan bisnis telekomunikasi selular yang semakin sengit saat ini dan dengan bertambahnya jumlah operator selular baru yang terjun ke bisnis ini, maka porsi pelanggan yang ada di Indonesia khususnya di Jabotabek akan dibagi untuk lebih banyak operator dan jelas akan mempengaruhi pendapatan Telkomsel juga. Hal tersebut merupakan indikasi bahwa seharusnyalah Telkomsel sudah saatnya melihat stategi lain selain penambahan daerah jangkauan sinyal yaitu dengan mempertimbangkan kinerja jaringan yang ada untuk meningkatkan pendapatannya. Kinerja jaringan yang dipertimbangkan dalam penelitian ini adalah Total Calls, Availability, SCR, ASR, CCR dan MHT. Akan dilihat pengaruh terbesar dari masing-masing kinerja jaringan tersebut terhadap pendapatan dan juga akan dilihat pengaruh terbesar keseluruhan kinerja jaringan tersebut secara simultan terhadap pendapatan. Sumber data Januari 2006 sampai Maret 2009 diambil dari Telkomsel Regional Jabotabek merupakan data sekunder yang terlebih dahulu dipilah menjadi data kinerja dan data pendapatan. Kemudian akan dirumuskan hubungan antara datadata tersebut dan selanjutnya diuji dengan menggunakan program statistik SPSS. Setelah menguji kelayakan data dan hubungan anatar variabel sesuai dengan kebutuhan analisis maka didapat hasil penelitian bahwa kinerja jaringan yang sangat berpegaruh secara langsung terhadap pendapatan adalah CCR dan yang berpengaruh secara tidak langsung terhadap pendapatan adalah Availability. Hasil dari penelitian tersebutlah yang dapat menjadi stategi managemen Telkomsel Regional Jabotabek, kenerja jaringan mana yang harus diprioritaskan terlebih dahulu untuk meningkatkan pendapatan perusahaan.

This thesis discusses about the strategy of Telkomsel Jabotabek Region to increase the revenue. Looking at the condition of business telecommunications provider that more virulent at the moment and with the increasing number of new service provider to this business, the share of customers in Indonesia, particularly in Jabotabek, will be divided among more service provider and clearly will effect Telkomsel?s revenue. This is an indication that Telkomsel should have seen a strategy other than the addition of the signal coverage whitch is to consider the performance of the existing network to enhance incomes. The performance of the network considered in this research is the Total Calls, Availability, SCR, ASR, CCR and MHT. The analysis part will focus on the influence of each network's performance against income and will also see the influence of the largest overall performance of the network simultaneously to the income. Sources of data is between January 2006 to March 2009 which is taken from the Telkomsel Jabotabek Region is the secondary data that previously splitted into performance data and income data. Then formulated the relationship between the data and tested using the statistical program SPSS. After the feasibility test of the data and the relationship among variables according to the analysis requirement, results obtained that the performance of the network that is so much affect directly against income is CCR and the indirect effect of income is Availability. Results of this research could become a strategy management of Telkomsel Jabotabek Region, which network performance should be priorities to improve the company's revenue."

"Protokol signaling sistem CCS#7 (Common Channel Signaling No. 7) digunakan pada sistem telekomunikasi GSM (Global System for MobileCommunication) saat ini mempunyai kemampuan untuk menangani trafik yang besar, fleksibilitas yang tinggi dalam menerima aplikasi service bare. Lapisan-lapisan CCS#7 meliputi Level 1 (Physical Layer), level 2 (Data Link Layer), level 3 (Network Layer) untuk penanganan message dan manajemen jaringan. Level 4 (User Part) yang berfungsi untuk mendefinisikan arti dan urutan dari message yang menggunakan aplikasi signaling. User Part meliputi Telephone User Part (TUP), Integrated Service Digital Network User Part (ISUP) dan Signaling Connection Control Part (SCCP). SCCP menyediakan fungsi-fungsi network layer dan network service berupa connectionless dan connection oriented untuk membaNva pesan-pesan. SCCP mengontrol transaksi signaling antar elemen jaringan, routing dan proses translasi digit. User SCCP meliputi ISUP (ISDN Userpart) dan TCAP (Transaction Capability Application Part). Pengamatan signaling dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat ukur protocol analyzer untuk mengetahui transaksi yang terjadi antara MSC (Mobile Switching Center), VLR (Visitor Location Register) dan HLR (Nome Location Register). Setiap proses signaling yang terjadi antar network element dapat diamati dengan menggunakan alai ukur. Keberhasilan dan kegagalan pembangunan suatu hubungan dapat dilihat dari transaksi message SCCP yang dikirim. "Implementasi pada VoIP yang kini telah menggantikan peranan PSTN dalam beberapa kondisi untuk mengatasi komunikasi suara jarak jauh, semakin dapat dinikmati oleh banyak pengguna. Berdasarkan hal ini, kualitas dan performansi pada VoIP menjadi salah satu kendala yang sangat penting. Peranan encoding dalam VoIP maupun versi protokol pada pengalamatan internet menjadi titik fokus pengukuran untuk memastikan kualitas dan performansi pada VoIP agar menjadi lebih maksimal. Dalam penelitian ini, penggunaaan IPv4 dan IPv6 serta encoding yang menggunakan codec G.711 dan G.722 menjadi tolak ukur pengukuran kualitas dan performansi VoIP.
Test-bed yang digunakan, dirancang untuk melakukan pengukuran delay dan jitter yang menjadi parameter performansi VoIP. Digunakan packet generator yang berfungsi sebagai paket pengganggu. Penelitian menghasilkan delay IPv4 pada G.711 bernilai19.99092ms dan G.722 bernilai 19.98469ms. Sedangkan untuk delay IPv6 pada G.711 bernilai 19.97235ms dan G.722 bernilai 19.98283 ms. Jitter IPv4 pada G.711 bernilai 1.12ms dan G.722 bernilai 1.16. Untuk jitter IPv6 pada G.711 bernilai 0.77ms dan G.722 bernilai 0.63ms. Dari percobaan yang dilakukan menghasilkan G.722 memiliki kualitas yang lebih baik daripada G.711 dalam delay maupun jitter. Hal ini dipengaruhi oleh teknik kompresi pada G.722 (ADPCM) dan banyaknya paket suara yang dikirimkan.

Nowadays, the PSTN has been replaced by VoIP implementation in several conditions to handle long-distance voice communication and it can be enjoyed by many users. It makes the quality and performance of VoIP become an important constraint. Encoding role in VoIP or internet protocol version on internet addressing is the main topic in measurement to ensure and maximizing the quality and performance of VoIP usage. This research is aimed to test the quality and performance of VoIP run over IPv4 and IPv6 that using G.711 and G.722 codec.
The test-bed has designed to measure delay and jitter as VoIP performance parameters. The delay of these has resulted value 19.99092ms on G.711 and 19.98469ms on G.722 in IPv4. In other hand, in IPv6’s delay resulted 19.97235ms on G.711 and 19.98283ms on G.722. The jitter has resulted 1.12ms on G.711 and 1.16ms on G.722 in IPv4. IPv6’s jitter has resulted 0.77ms on G.711 and 0.63ms on G.722. From the experiments conducted, G.722 produces better quality than G.711 in delay or jitter. It is influenced by the G.722 compression techniques (ADPCM) and the number of voice packets are transmitted.
