" Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT), which is the main international port of Indonesia, is overcrowded and is going to be expanded. Various expansion plans are considered, so the aim of the current paper is to simulate the plans using an agent-based modeling approach. The plans are treated as scenarios in the agent-based simulation model. Then, the throughputs from all scenarios are compared. The comparison shows that some of the plans can support the JICT vision. The results can be used as an input for the decision maker to either choose one of the plans or renegotiate the plans to achieve results that greatly support the JICT vision."

"ABSTRAK
PT. Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT) sudah terlalu penuh dan
direncanakan untuk dikembangkan. Berbagai proposal rencana pengembangan telah
diterima.
tugas masing-masing. Keluarannya adalah perbandingan proyeksi kondisi JICT pasca
implementasi berdasarkan kapasitasnya, dibandingkan antar proposal. Perbandingan
tercapai.

ABSTRACT
Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT) is overcrowded and planned to
be expanded. Various expansion plan has been proposed. We try to find out possible
implementation result by simulating those plans as scenario in agent-based logistic
system simulation. The plans were translated as change in various parameter which in
turn affect the agent’s behavior. The outputs are comparison of simulated JICT
condition post implementation measured by its throughput, based on each expansion
plan. This comparison show that some of the plan close enough to match JICT vision.
This comparison could be used as an input for decision maker to either choose one of
the plans or renegotiate the plan to reach closest simulated condition compared to
JICT vision. "

"Model is a representation of a system. Through model, it can be easier to forecast and control the changing of each element system. Electricity distribution is also a system. Losses are general problem that exist in a distribution network system. But with the right methods, specifically technical energy losses can be reduced in order to increase the efficiency. By making model of the distribution network, the value of technical energy losses in the whole network as well as in every line can be observed. Simulation can also be used to see all losses reduction alternatives. By comparing results from each alternatives, the best alternative, which gives best result can be decided and implemented."

Agent-based Computational Economics (ACE) sees interactions in the economy can produce outcome beside equilibrium whereas in Neoclassical views interactions always produce equilibrium. By using ACE standpoint, one of the basic assumptions in economics, namely the assumption of constant returns to scale, can be relaxed. This study examines the impact of relaxing constant returns assumption on consumer behavior in the Monocentric City model through simulation using agent-based model. The results showed that the use of constant, increasing, or decreasing returns assumptions did not produce different results. Thus, the different forms of consumer preferences have no effect on the Monocentric City model."

The goals of this thesis are valuing feasibility, sensitivity, and flexibility of investment project on developing international port terminal from commercial aspect. The writer combines critical path method, business simulation, sensitivity analysis, scenario analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, and real option analysis. So, variability in probability of internal and external factors can be combined for valuing project, project planning decisions, include risk corporate management now and the future.
Findings from this study indicate that the development of the international port terminal is feasible to do, because the project meets the investment decisions requirement. Beside that, the author also finds the variables that have very significant influence are the project feasibility, like increasing in first investment loan interest rate, decrease in increasing terminal rent tariff, the mark-up of fixed assets, currency, increasing spread that is requested by the investors, and increasing in investment equity. The using of real option analysis in valuing the flexibility of the project will affect the net present value of the project.

Micromachining is an advanced microfabrication technique for micro-sized or micro-accuracy products. The materials used in micromachining are as advanced as it is, providing high-strength material while keeping its mass low such as those found in Ti-6Al-4V material. As a result, those mentioned advantages make them hard, brittle, and difficult to machine. Recent research articles had shown that vibration induction to the machining process can give a better machining quality to hard and brittle materials, one of which is longitudinal torsional vibration assisted micromilling (LT-VAM). This research is intended to simulate an LT-VAM machining process and how it compares to conventional micromilling. Several horn designs for LTVAM and variable speed will be simulated. Through the usage of 3D simulation techniques, the effects of LTVAM can then be measured. It has been shown that the application of the LTVAM system using a horn that has a high level of torsionality has the potential to reduce up to 9% of cutting temperature, 35% of cutting force, and 27% of surface roughness."
