"This paper aims to reveal the relationship between ethnicity and democracy in the regencies of South Sorong in West Papua Province and Keerom in Papua Province, both situated in Indonesia’s easternmost island of Papua. By using Madisonian practice to examine the ethnic party and separatist logics in both regencies, this study explores the presence of cooperation, representation, and accommodation between ethno-religious identities in South Sorong, as well as between Indigenous Papuans (orang asli Papua) and the majority Muslim non-Papuan migrants (pendatang) in Keerom. The findings of this qualitative study suggest that there is a relationship between ethnicity and democracy that can be used in a positive way for promoting peace and resolving conflict."

Kedua, pemilihan pasangan berdasarkan faktor inklusif saja.

The study of the mate selection among urban youths shows a shift in trends. The current selection of mates tends to be based on inclusive factors such as age, education, employment, socio-economic status, and physical appeareance compared to the similarity of ethnicity. In contrast to the urban Batak youth, in addition to the inclusive factor there is also an exclusive factor that needs to be considered in the selection of mate. The exclusive factor in this article is the common ethnicity derived from the family’s encouragement. This article discusses how the views of urban Batak youth against the inclusive and exclusive factors on mate selection. Urban Batak youth is divided into two typologies in the selection of mate.
memprediksi langsung intensi ataupun niat perselingkuhan.
This study investigated infidelity intention among dating relationships using theory of planned behaviour (TPB).
The TPB suggests that attitudes, perceived behavioural control and subjective norm are direct predictors of
infidelity intention. A sample of 160 university students was employed, with female and male ratio 93 and 67,
consecutively. It is expected that individual?s favourable attitudes toward infidelity increase the likelihood of
one?s unfaithful behaviour. Infidelity intention tend to be higher if individuals perceived that their surroundings
approved infidelity behaviour, and also if they believe that cheating on partner is easy for them. Additionally,
relationship satisfaction will also be examined as another predictor of infidelity intention. It is expected that
individuals with greater relationship satisfaction will be less likely to engage in infidelity behaviour., This study investigated infidelity intention among dating relationships using theory of planned behaviour (TPB).

"Analyses of past national election studies have categorized male independents as alienated and strategic, while women independents are apolitical and apathetic. These same analyses led to a wide acceptance of the strong relationship between resource mobilization and changes in political attitudes and voting behaviour. This paper revisits this early characterization of women voters to assess the extent to which increased access to education and economic resources since the late 1970s has narrowed the gap between men and women, producing equal rates of men and women independents who are alienated and strategic. This effort is of particular importance given the increasing pool of unaffiliated voters within the Japanese electorate, with the proportion of women who are unaffiliated exceeding that of men. My research reveals that resources do not explain as much of the variation in political attitudes in the late 1990s as they did 20 years earlier. This finding demands that we re-evaluate widely accepted predictors of women's voting behaviour to offer explanations for why our observed outcome departs from what theory would lead us to expect. More immediately, attitudes held by this important segment of the electorate highlight important strategic choices for Japanese parties."

"What is ethnicity? Is there a “white” way of speaking? Why do people sometimes borrow features of another ethnic group’s language? Why do we sometimes hear an accent that isn’t there? This lively overview reveals the fascinating relationship between language and ethnic identity, exploring the crucial role it plays in both revealing a speaker’s ethnicity and helping to construct it. Drawing on research from a range of ethnic groups around the world, it shows how language contributes to the social and psychological processes involved in the formation of ethnic identity, exploring both the linguistic features of ethnic language varieties and also the ways in which language is used by different ethnic groups. The first overview of this important topic, Language and Ethnicity will be welcomed by students and researchers in sociolinguistics, as well as anybody interested in ethnic issues, language and education, interethnic communication, and the relationship between language and identity.

"The Routledge Handbook of Race and Ethnicity in Asia introduces theoretical approaches to the study of race, ethnicity and indigeneity in Asia beyond those commonly grounded in the Western experience.
The volume’s twenty-eight chapters consider not only the relationship between ethnic or racial minorities and the state, but social relations within and between individual and transnational communities. These shape not only the contours of governance, but also the means by which knowledge of national identity, ‘self ’, and ‘other’ have been constructed and reconstructed over time. Divided into four sections, it provides holistic and comparative coverage of South, South East, and East Asia, as well as Australasia and Oceania; an area that extends from Pakistan in the West to Hawai’i in the East.
Contributors to this handbook offer a variety of disciplinary and interdisciplinary perspectives, opening a domain of scholarship wherein the relationship between phenotype and racism is less pronounced than European and North American approaches, which have often privileged the so-called ‘colour stigmata’, leading to further exclusions of particular ethnic, racial, and indigenous communities.
This volume seeks to overcome racism and white ideologies embedded in theories of race and ethnicity in Asia, proving a valuable resource to both students and scholars of comparative racial and ethnic studies, international relations and human rights."
