"Dari tahun ke tahun jumlah universitas di Indonesia yang menawarkan berbagai program pendidikan terus meningkat. Peningkatan ini memicu persaingan antar perguruan tinggi di Indonesia yang semakin intensif. Salah satu solusi jangka panjang yang dapat dilakukan oleh pihak universitas adalah dengan menumbuhkan student loyalty pada mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari tahu peran student satisfaction sebagai mediator terhadap hubungan student trust dan student loyalty pada mahasiswa yang duduk minimal di semester enam. Alat ukur yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Trust in Higher Education Scale (THES) yang dikembangkan oleh Ünal Deniz dan Mehmet Akif Erdener (2023) dan telah diadaptasi oleh peneliti dalam bahasa Indonesia, alat ukur Student Satisfaction yang dikembangkan oleh Tuan (2012) dan telah diadaptasi ke dalam bahasa Indonesia oleh Abdallah (2013), serta alat ukur student loyalty yang dikembangkan oleh Li (2013) dan telah diadaptasi ke dalam Bahasa Indonesia oleh Hadi (2018). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode statistik korelasional dan mediasi sederhana. Data yang diperoleh dari 150 mahasiswa dengan mayoritas mahasiswa di semester delapan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi antara student trust dan student satisfaction, student trust dan student loyalty, serta student satisfaction dan student loyalty. Analisis mediasi sederhana menunjukkan bahwa student satisfaction memediasi hubungan student trust dan student loyalty. Implikasi dari penelitian adalah penting bagi perguruan tinggi di Indonesia untuk membangun student trust terhadap perguruan tinggi dan student satisfaction agar dapat diperoleh student loyalty yang pada akhirnya akan berkontribusi terhadap pengembangan perguruan tinggi kelak.

The number of universities in Indonesia offering various educational programs has continued to increase year by year. This increase has triggered increasingly intense competition among universities in Indonesia. One long-term solution that universities can implement is to foster student loyalty. This research aims to investigate the role of student satisfaction as a mediator in the relationship between student trust and student loyalty among students who are at least in their sixth semester. The measuring instruments used in this research are the Trust in Higher Education Scale (THES) developed by Ünal Deniz and Mehmet Akif Erdener (2023) and adapted by the researcher into Indonesian, the Student Satisfaction scale developed by Tuan (2012) and adapted into Indonesian by Abdallah (2013), and the student loyalty scale developed by Li (2013) and adapted into Indonesian by Hadi (2018). This research employs correlational statistics and simple mediation methods. Data obtained from 150 students, the majority of whom are in their eighth semester, indicate correlations between student trust and student satisfaction, student trust and student loyalty, as well as student satisfaction and student loyalty. Simple mediation analysis shows that student satisfaction mediates the relationship between student trust and student loyalty. The implication of this research is that it is crucial for universities in Indonesia to build student trust and student satisfaction to achieve student loyalty, which will ultimately contribute to the future development of the university."

"Di tengah tingginya demand akan pendidikan tinggi, setiap perguruan tinggi semakin memfokuskan usahanya pada student loyalty yang merupakan faktor pendukung untuk perguruan tinggi dapat bersaing. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji apakah student satisfaction berperan sebagai mediator terhadap hubungan student-faculty relationship quality dan student loyalty di kalangan mahasiswa Indonesia. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah 150 mahasiswa berstatus aktif dari perguruan tinggi di Indonesia. Tiga alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah alat ukur Student Loyalty dari Li (2013) yang diadaptasi dalam Bahasa Indonesia oleh Hadi (2018), adaptasi Student-Faculty Relationship Quality Scale dari Snijders et al. (2017), dan alat ukur Student Satisfaction dari Tuan (2012) yang diadaptasi dalam Bahasa Indonesia oleh Abdallah (2013). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa student satisfaction berperan sebagai mediator terhadap hubungan student-faculty relationship quality dan student loyalty di kalangan mahasiswa Indonesia (F(2,147) = 151,744, p < 0,01, R2  = 0,674). Penelitian selanjutnya disarankan untuk meneliti setiap dimensi dari student-faculty relationship quality untuk mendapatkan hasil yang lebih mendalam terkait hubungan masing-masing dimensi dengan student satisfaction dan student loyalty.

In the midst of high demand for higher education, every university is increasingly focusing its efforts on student loyalty, which is a supporting factor for universities to be able to compete. This research aims to test whether student satisfaction acts as a mediator in the relationship between student-faculty relationships quality and student loyalty among Indonesian undergraduate students. The participants in this research were 150 active undergraduate students from universities in Indonesia. The three measuring scales used in this research are Student Loyalty scale developed by Li (2013) and adapted into Bahasa Indonesia by Hadi (2018), the adaptation of the Student-Faculty Relationship Quality Scale from Snijders et al. (2017), and Student Satisfaction scale developed by Tuan (2012) and adapted into Bahasa Indonesia by Abdallah (2013). The result of this research found that student satisfaction acts as a mediator in the relationship between student-faculty relationship quality and student loyalty among Indonesian undergraduate students (F(2,147) = 151.744, p < 0.01, R2 = 0.674). Future research is recommended to further examine each dimension of student-faculty relationship quality to obtain a more in-depth result and explanation regarding its relationship with student satisfaction and student loyalty."

"Loyalitas mahasiswa atau student loyalty merupakan komitmen jangka panjang yang dimiliki oleh mahasiswa dan berperan penting dalam pengembangan layanan pendidikan di institusi pendidikan tinggi secara berkelanjutan, baik dalam dukungan finansial maupun rekomendasi kepada orang lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran student satisfaction sebagai mediator dalam hubungan sense of belonging dan student loyalty. Penelitian ini melibatkan 120 mahasiswa sarjana yang mengikuti perkuliahan minimal di semester 6 dengan tiga instrumen penelitian, yakni UBQ, Student Satisfaction, dan Student Loyalty. Analisis statistik melalui PROCESS v4.2 membuktikan bahwa student satisfaction memediasi hubungan sense of belonging dan student loyalty (β=0,149, BootSE = 0,027, CI95% [0,09/0,20]), serta terdapat hubungan langsung (direct effect) antara sense of belonging dan student loyalty (β = 0,170, p<0,01). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa secara parsial student satisfaction memediasi hubungan sense of belonging dengan student loyalty. Dari hasil penelitian ini disarankan perguruan tinggi meningkatkan sense of belonging dan student satisfaction melalui kualitas layanan pendidikan untuk mempertebal loyalitas mahasiswa mereka.

Student loyalty is a long-term commitment owned by students and plays an important role in the development of educational services in higher education institutions on an ongoing basis, both in financial support and recommendations to others. This study aims to determine the role of student satisfaction as a mediator in the relationship between sense of belonging and student loyalty. This study involved 120 undergraduate students who attended lectures at least in semester 6 with three research instruments, namely UBQ, Student Satisfaction, and Student Loyalty. A statistical analysis through PROCESS v4.2 demonstrated that student satisfaction plays a mediating role in the relationship between sense of belonging and student loyalty, with the indirect effect being β = 0.149, BootSE = 0.027, and a CI95% [0.09/0.20] and a significant direct effect between sense of belonging and student loyalty, with β = 0.170, p <0.01. It can be concluded that student satisfaction partially mediates the relationship between sense of belonging and student loyalty. Based on the results of this study, it is recommended that universities enhance both sense of belonging and student satisfaction through the quality of educational services in order to strengthen the loyalty of their students."

"Perguruan tinggi saat ini bersaing untuk mendapatkan sumber daya yang dapat mendukung keberlangsungan mereka, dimana student loyalty menjadi salah satu solusi. Penelitian yang dilakukan oleh Latif et al. (2021) di Pakistan menemukan perkembangan student loyalty dapat dipengaruhi oleh penilaian mahasiswa terhadap praktik University Social Responsibility (USR) dengan dimediasi oleh student satisfaction. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peran student satisfaction sebagai mediator terhadap hubungan penilaian mahasiswa terhadap praktik USR dan student loyalty di Indonesia. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah USR Short Version Scale dari Latif et al. (2021), alat ukur Student Satisfaction yang diadaptasi ke dalam Bahasa Indonesia oleh Abdallah (2013), dan alat ukur Student Loyalty yang diadaptasi ke dalam Bahasa Indonesia oleh Hadi (2018). Melalui metode kuantitatif dan desain korelasional, data dari 133 partisipan diolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penilaian praktik USR dapat memprediksi student satisfaction secara signifikan (ß = 0.297, p < 0.001), student satisfaction dapat memprediksi student loyalty secara signifikan (ß = 0.647, p < 0.001), dan terdapat direct effect yang signifikan antara penilaian praktik USR dan student loyalty (ß = 0.192, p < 0.001). Analisis mediasi sederhana dengan model ke-4 dari PROCESS Hayes versi 4.2 menemukan bahwa student satisfaction memediasi hubungan penilaian praktik USR dan student loyalty (ß = 0.192, 95% CI [0.119, 0.268]). Saran yang diberikan untuk penelitian selanjutnya adalah partisipan penelitian lebih heterogen dan bagi perguruan tinggi untuk menerapkan USR dalam rangka meningkatkan student loyalty pada mahasiswa.

Higher education institutions are currently competing to obtain resources that support their continuity, with student loyalty being one of the solutions. This research aims to examine the role of student satisfaction as a mediator in the relationship between students’ assessments of USR practices and student loyalty in Indonesia. This research utilized USR Short Version Scale by Latif et al. (2021), the Student Satisfaction scale developed by Tuan (2012) and translated into Indonesian by Abdallah (2013), and the Student Loyalty scale developed by Li (2013) and translated into Indonesian by Hadi (2013) as its measurement tools. Data from 133 participants were analysed using quantitative methods and a correlational design. The results showed that the assessment of USR practices significantly predicts student satisfaction (ß = 0.297, p < 0.001), student satisfaction significantly predicts student loyalty (ß = 0.647, p < 0.001), and there is a significant direct effect between assessment of USR practices and student loyalty (ß = 0.192, p < 0.001). A simple mediation analysis using PROCESS Hayes version 4.2 model 4 found that student satisfaction mediates the relationship between the assessment of USR practices and student loyalty (ß = 0.192, 95% CI [0.119, 0.268]). Future research is recommended to obtain a more heterogeneous sample and higher education institutions are encouraged to implement USR as a way to enhance student loyalty."

"Loyalitas mahasiswa menjadi salah satu faktor penting bagi keberlangsungan dan keberlanjutan institusi perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji peran komitmen mahasiswa terhadap perguruan tinggi sebagai mediator dalam hubungan antara kepuasan mahasiswa dan loyalitas mahasiswa. Alat ukur yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah  Students' Commitment to the Educational Institutes dari Alvi dan Sharma (2021), alat ukur Student Loyalty yang dikembangkan oleh Li (2013) dan diadaptasi ke dalam Bahasa Indonesia oleh Hadi (2018), serta alat ukur Student Satisfaction yang dikembangkan oleh Tuan (2012) dan diadaptasi ke dalam Bahasa Indonesia oleh Abdallah (2013). Data diambil dari 120 mahasiswa strata satu yang sedang menempuh perkuliahan minimal semester enam di perguruan tinggi di Indonesia. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan SPSS Versi 29.0.2.0 dan PROCESS versi 4.3. Hasil analisis PROCESS (Model 4) menunjukkan bahwa komitmen mahasiswa terhadap perguruan tinggi memediasi hubungan antara kepuasan mahasiswa dan loyalitas mahasiswa (𝛽 = .11, BootSE= .036, CI 95% [.04, .18]). Penelitian ini menunjukkan apabila kepuasan mahasiswa meningkat, maka komitmen mahasiswa terhadap perguruan tingginya akan meningkat, diikuti peningkatan loyalitas mahasiswa pada perguruan tingginya.

Student loyalty is a crucial factor for the sustainability and continuity of higher education institutions. This study aims to examine the role of student commitment to higher education institutions as a mediator in the relationship between student satisfaction and student loyalty. This study demonstrates that when student satisfaction increases, their commitment to the institution also increases, leading to an enhancement in student loyalty."

Student loyalty merupakan upaya mahasiswa untuk tetap menjalin hubungan dengan kampusnya yang ditunjukkan dengan berbagai perilaku positif yang menguntungkan kampus. Agar bisa tetap bertahan dan memastikan keberlangsungannya, perguruan tinggi berupaya untuk membangun student loyalty pada mahasiswanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah student satisfaction dapat memediasi hubungan antara place attachment terhadap kampus dan student loyalty pada mahasiswa. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah 133 mahasiswa S1 Perguruan Tinggi Negeri, Swasta, dan Keagamaan di Indonesia dengan rentang usia (M = 21.38; SD = 0.95). Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan adanya direct effect yang signifikan antara place attachment terhadap student loyalty (β = 0.2312, p < 0.001). Analisis mediasi menggunakan PROCESS dari Hayes versi 4.2 juga menunjukkan adanya indirect effect yang membuktikan student satisfaction berperan sebagai mediator terhadap hubungan antara place attachment dan student loyalty (β = 0,2197, 95% CI [0,1505, 0,2972]). Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi rekomendasi bagi perguruan tinggi untuk mempertimbangkan place attachment terhadap kampus dan student satisfaction dalam membuat berbagai strategi dan kebijakan yang bertujuan untuk membangun loyalitas mahasiswa.

 


Student loyalty is an effort by students to maintain a relationship with their campus, shown by various positive behaviors that bring benefits to the campus. In order to survive and ensure its sustainability, higher education institutions are focusing on building the loyalty of their students. This study aims to see whether student satisfaction mediates the relationship between place attachment to campus and student loyalty among university students. The participants in this study consisted of 133 undergraduate students from public, private, and religious universities in Indonesia with an age range (M = 21.38; SD = 0.95). Regression analysis showed a significant direct effect between place attachment and student loyalty (β = 0.2312, p < 0.001). Mediation analysis using PROCESS from Hayes version 4.2 also shows an indirect effect that proves student satisfaction acts as a mediator of the relationship between place attachment and student loyalty (β = 0.2197, 95% CI [0.1505, 0.2972]). The results of this study can be a recommendation for higher education institutions to consider place attachment to campus and student satisfaction in making various strategies and policies aimed at building student loyalty.

"Penelitian terdahulu mengindikasikan bahwa perceived social support merupakan prediktor resiliensi serta beberapa dimensi adaptabilitas. Namun, penelitian yang meneliti efek mediasi resiliensi pada hubungan perceived social support dan adaptabilitas masih terbatas. Dengan semakin maraknya pembelajaran ke luar negeri, topik ini semakin relevan pada mahasiswa Indonesia. Maka, tujuan penelitian skripsi ini adalah meneliti peran resiliensi sebagai mediator dalam hubungan antara perceived social support dan adaptabilitas mahasiswa internasional sarjana berkewarganegaraan Indonesia (international student). Partisipan berjumlah 89 mahasiswa sarjana berumur 18-24 tahun yang terdiri dari 29 pria dan 60 wanita. Seluruh partisipan pernah, atau sedang menuntut pendidikan di luar Indonesia selama minimal 3 bulan berturut-turut. Pengukuran dilakukan menggunakan alat ukur The Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (M = 67.6; SD = 10.1), Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (M = 75.8; SD = 12), serta Individual Adaptability Scale (M = 182.1; SD = 19.2). Analisis statistik mengungkap bahwa perceived social support positif memprediksi adaptabilitas pada mahasiswa internasional berkewarganegaraan Indonesia (p < .001). Resiliensi memprediksi adaptabilitas secara positif (p < .001), dan terdapat indirect effect dari perceived social support terhadap adaptabilitas yang dimediasi oleh resiliensi (p < .01). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa para mahasiswa internasional Indonesia yang memperoleh perceived social support memiliki adaptabilitas baik yang dimediasi oleh resiliensi.

Previous research indicated that perceived social support predicted resilience and certain dimensions of adaptability. However, there has been few research conducted on the mediating effects of resilience on the relationship between perceived social support and adaptability. Furthermore, with the increasing trend of studying abroad, this topic has become ever more relevant. Thus, this research aims to discover the mediating role of resilience in the relationship between perceived social support and adaptability in Indonesian undergraduates studying abroad, hereafter called ‘international students’. A total of 89 participants consisting of 29 males and 60 females aged 18 to 24 took part in this research. All participants were undergraduate students of Indonesian nationality, and are currently, or had previously studied abroad for no less than 3 months consecutively. Measurements utilised The Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (M = 67.6; SD = 10.1), Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (M = 75.8; SD = 12), and Individual Adaptability Scale (M = 182.1; SD = 19.2). Statistical analysis revealed that perceived social support positively predicted adaptability in Indonesian international students (p < .001), resilience positively predicted adaptability (p < .001), and there were indirect effects of perceived social support on adaptability, mediated by resilience (p < .01). The results showed that Indonesian international students who had perceived social support were closely associated with high levels of adaptability when mediated by resilience."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran mediasi pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar psikologis terhadap hubungan antara persepsi dukungan makna belajar dari dosen dan keterlibatan belajar mahasiswa. Jawaban dari hasil penelitian ini penting untuk dapat meningkatkan kualitas keterlibatan belajar, yang mampu menjadi intervensi awal dalam menekan angka putus kuliah.
Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian kuantitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner, dengan partisipan sebanyak 736 mahasiswa tingkat satu. Alat ukur yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Engagement Learning Index untuk mengukur keterlibatan belajar, Personal Meaning Profile untuk mengukur persepsi dukungan makna belajar mahasiswa dari dosen dan Basic Psychological Needs Scale untuk mengukur pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar psikologis. Data yang terhimpun dianalisis menggunakan regresi mediasi Hayess.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemenuhan kebutuhan psikologis secara signifikan memediasi secara parsial terhadap hubungan antara persepsi dukungan makna belajar dari dosen dan keterlibatan belajar mahasiswa. Temuan dari penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa dukungan makna belajar dari dosen berperan penting dalam memenuhi kebutuhan dasar psikologis untuk meningkatkan kualitas keterlibatan belajar mahasiswa.

The study aimed to answer, 'Is the fulfillment of basic psychological needs can be mediator between teacher's meaning support in learning and student engagement'. The answer of this research is important to improve the quality of student engagement, that can be the first intervention in reducing the drop out rate.
This is quantative reasearch with self report quesionnaire. 736 participans on first rate student. The measuring instruments are Engagement Learning Index to measure student engagement, Personal Meaning Profile to measure the perception teacher's meaning support in learning and Basic Psychological Needs Scale to measure the fulfillment of basic psychological needs. The collected data were analyzed using Hayess mediation regression.
The result of this research revealed that fulfillment of psychological needs significantly became a partial mediator between the perception teacher's meaning support in learning and Student Engagement. Finding from this study show that teachers have an important role in meeting basic psychological needs, to improve the quality of student engagement.

"[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar psikologis berperan sebagai mediator dalam hubungan antara persepsi siswa mengenai iklim emosional kelas dan keterlibatan siswa. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner lapor diri yang diisi oleh 391 siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) kelas 7 dan kelas 8 dari tiga SMP Negeri di Depok. Hasil analisa mediasi menunjukkan bahwa hubungan antara persepsi siswa mengenai iklim emosional kelas dan keterlibatan siswa dimediasi secara parsial oleh pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar psikologis. Hasil penelitian tersebut mengindikasikan bahwa pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar psikologis siswa di kelas berperan dalam menjelaskan hubungan antara persepsi siswa mengenai iklim emosional kelas dan keterlibatan siswa.

"Mahasiswa yang merantau harus menghadapi lebih banyak penyesuaian dalam kehidupan perkuliahannya, terlebih setelah adanya perubahan global yang diakibatkan oleh pandemi COVID-19. Dalam situasi yang sulit tersebut, kedekatan dengan alam dan resiliensi dapat memiliki peran penting agar mahasiswa tidak mempersepsi situasi secara negatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peran resiliensi sebagai mediator pada hubungan kedekatan dengan alam dan persepsi stres mahasiswa perantau. Data diambil menggunakan survei daring pada mahasiswa perantau di seluruh Indonesia (N = 123). Pengukuran variabel pada penelitian ini menggunakan adaptasi 21-Item Nature Relatedness Scale (NR21), Resilience Scale (RS), dan Perceived Stress Scale (PSS). Data penelitian dianalisis dengan model mediasi pada perangkat PROCESS dari Hayes di SPSS. Penemuan yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini antara lain kedekatan dengan alam berpengaruh positif terhadap resiliensi, resiliensi berpengaruh negatif terhadap persepsi stres, dan terdapat indirect-only mediation dari resiliensi terhadap hubungan kedekatan dengan alam dan persepsi stres mahasiswa perantau.

Sojourner college students have to face more adaptation in their college life, especially now after there are global changes all around the world because of COVID-19 pandemic. In this stressful situation, nature relatedness and resilience have an important role in reducing college students’ negative perception of the situation. This research’s objective is to see the role of resilience as mediator between nature relatedness and perceived stress. Data were taken using online survey from sojourner students all over Indonesia (N = 123). Variables were measured using the adaptations of 21-Item Nature Relatedness Scale (NR21), Resilience Scale (RS), and Perceived Stress Scale (PSS). The data that have already been collected were analyzed using mediation model on Hayes’ PROCESS tool on SPSS. Results from this research is nature relatedness can positively predict resilience, resilience can negatively predict perceived stress, and there is an indirect-only mediation from resilience to the relationship between nature relatedness and perceived stress of sojourner college students."
