Fresh graduates are in a transitional phase from education to the workforce, often accompanied by career direction uncertainty and the pressure to secure employment. During this phase, social support serves as a vital resource to facilitate the adaptation process. This study aims to examine the relationship between perceived social support and career adaptability among fresh graduates. A total of 181 participants, who graduated between 2023 and 2025 and resided in the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek), took part in the study (age: M = 23.27; SD = 0.98). Jabodetabek was chosen as the research site due to its status as the center of economic activity and the region with the highest concentration of job seekers in Indonesia. Sampling was conducted using a convenience sampling technique. The instruments used were the Career Adapt-Abilities Scale–Short Form (CAAS-SF) and the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS), which measure support from family, friends, and significant others. Spearman correlation analysis revealed a significant positive relationship between perceived social support and career adaptability (r = 0.668; p < 0.001). This study suggests that fresh graduates should cultivate social support networks to enhance their adaptability in facing the challenges of the job market.
