"Kemoterapi menjadi pilihan pengobatan yang paling efektif dalam mengobati kanker payudara. Efek samping yang dialami hampir semua pasien kemoterapi adalah mual muntah. Teknik guided imagery merupakan salah satu dari banyak terapi komplementer yang dapat mengatasi mual muntah akibat kemoterapi pada pasien kanker payudara. Teknik guided imagery dapat dilakukan pada saat sedang kemoterapi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas teknik guided imagery sebelum dan saat sedang kemoterapi dalam mengatasi mual muntah pada pasien kanker payudara. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan quasi experimental two group pretest posttest design. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok sebelum kemoterapi dan kelompok saat sedang kemoterapi yang akan diobservasi sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan pada penurunan mual muntah pada kelompok sebelum kemoterapi setelah diberikan intervensi guided imageri ( p value = 0,000 ;α<0,05) dan pengaruh yang signifikan pada kelompok saat sedang kemoterapi setelah diberikan intervensi guided imagery (p value = 0,000 ; α<0,05). Dari hasil penelitian yang di dapat pada kedua kelompok kemudian dilakukan analisis untuk melihat perbedaan skor mual muntah post intevensi guided imagery sehingga didapatkan hasil bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan perubahan mual muntah setelah diberikan intervensi guided imagery pada kelompok sebelum kemoterapi dan kelompok saat sedang kemoterapi (p value = 0,814;α<0,05). Bedasarkan hasil dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa guided imagery yang dilakukan saat sedang kemoterapi, berpengaruh signifikan dalam menurunan mual muntah akibat kemoterapi pada pasien kanker payudara

Chemotherapy is the most effective treatment option in treating breast cancer. The side effect experienced by almost all chemotherapy patients is nausea and vomiting. Guided imagery technique is one of many complementary therapies that can overcome nausea and vomiting due to chemotherapy in breast cancer patients. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of guided imagery before and while chemotherapy in treating nausea and vomiting in breast cancer patients. The design of this study used a quasi-experimental two group pretest posttest design. This study used two groups, namely the group before chemotherapy and the group during chemotherapy to be observed before and after the intervention. The results of this study found that there was a significant effect on reducing nausea and vomiting in the group before chemotherapy after being given guided imagery intervention (p value = 0.000 ; <0.05) and a significant effect in the group while undergoing chemotherapy after being given guided imagery intervention (p value = 0.000 ; <0.05). From the results of the study obtained in both groups, an analysis was carried out to see the difference in the post-guided imagery intervention post-intervention nausea and vomiting so that it was found that there was no significant difference in changes in nausea and vomiting after being given guided imagery intervention in the group before chemotherapy and the group while undergoing chemotherapy (p value = 0.814;α<0.05). Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that guided imagery, which was carried out while undergoing chemotherapy, had a significant effect in reducing nausea and vomiting due to chemotherapy in breast cancer patients."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengekplorasi fenomena yang terjadi pada pasien kanker yang mengalami neutropenia akibat kemoterapi. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalh studi kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi deskriptif. Fenomenologi deskriptif digunakan karena peneliti ingin memperoleh makna dari pengalaman yang diungkapkan partisipan selama penelitian dilakukan. sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pasien yang dirawat atau dalam pengobatan RS Kanker Dharmais Jakarta< berjumlah 5 partisipan. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian dengan menggunakan wawancara mendalam (incepth interview) dengan bantuan tape recorder/digital vices recorder dilengkapi dengan catatan (fiels notes). Hasil penelitian ditemukan enam buah tema yaitu: 1) Waktu pengobatan dan perawatan yang lama, 2) persepsi yang salah tentang neutropenia, 3) perasaan negatif dan koping saat neutropenia, 4) kesulitan perawatan diri, 5) dukungan kluarga dan teman, dan 6) harapan saat neutropenia implikasi untuk keperawatan dapat memberikan informasi pengalaman pasien saat mengalami neutropenia akibat kemoterapi, serta dapat digunakan dalam penelitian selanjutnya.

The purpose of this study is to explore the phenomena that occur in cancer patients who experience chemotherapy-induced neutropenia. The design of this study is qualitative study using descriptive phenomenolgy. Descriptive phenomenology used because researcher wants to gain the meaning of the patients who were treated in Dharmais Cancer Hospital Jakarta, amounted to 5 participants. Data collection methods in this study using in-depth interviews with the help of a tape recorder/digital voices recorder and field notes.

The research found six themes, namely: 1) the length of treatment and care 2) a wrong perception of neutropenia 3) the negative feelings and coping when neutropenia 4) the difficulty of self-care 5) support of family and friends and 6) expectations and hope when neutropenia. Implication for nursing practice are can give an information about experiences in cancer patients when having neutropenia also as a base fotr further research."
