"This Book starts from the premise that methodology - the procedures for obtaining an 'objective' knowledge of the past - has always dominated archaeology to the detriment of broader social theory. It argues that social theory is archaeological theory, and that past failure to recognise this has resulted in disembodied archaeological theory and weak disciplinary practice. Ideology, Power and Prehistory therefore seeks to reinstate the primacy of social theory and the social nature of the past worlds that archaeologists seek to understand. The contributors to this book argue that past peoples, the creators of the archaeological records, should be understood as actively manipulating their own material world to represent and misrepresent their own and others' interests. "Tingginya jumlah Angkatan kerja merupakan salah satu modal dalam pembangunan sebuah negara. Pertumbuhan jumlah angkatan kerja harus seimbang dengan pertumbuhan kesempatan kerja. Pertumbuhan angkatan kerja yang lebih cepat dari pertumbuhan kesempatan kerja akan berdampak pada rendahnya tingkat penyerapan tenaga kerja yang kemudian akan berdampak pada meningkatnya jumlah pengangguran. Salah satu kota di Provinsi Jawa Barat yang menghadapi masalah terkait penyerapan tenaga kerja adalah Kota Depok. Skripsi ini membahas upaya Kota Depok dalam meningkatkan penyerapan tenaga melalui Bursa kerja yaitu dengan memaksimalkan fungsi Bidang Pelatihan Produktivitas dan Bina Lembaga Pelatihan Kerja, dan Bidang Penempatan dan Perluasan Kerja. Adapun teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori mengenai konsep ketenagakerjaan konsep pasarkerja dan penyerapan tenaga  kerja, konsep bursa kerja, serta Konsep analisis SWOT. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif yang mendeskripsikan upaya Dinas Tenaga Kerja Kota Depok dalm meningkatakan penyerapan tenaga kerja. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa upaya  Disnaker Kota Depok dalam meningkatkan jumlah penyerapan tenaga kerja melaui bursa kerja masih dihadapkan pada banyak permasalahan. Masalah tersebut dapat dilihat dari tidak adanya BLK sebagai pusat pelatihan tenaga kerja; minimnya partisipasi perusahaan dalam wajib lapor; belum terciptanya integrasi data ketenagakerjaan; serta kondisi pandemi Covid-19 yang menghambat berjalannya program-program penyerapan tenaga kerja Disnaker Kota Depok.

The high number of labor force is one of the assets in the development of a country. The growth in the number of the workforce must be balanced with the growth in employment opportunities. The growth of the workforce that is faster than the growth of job opportunities will have an impact on the low rate of employment which in turn will have an impact on increasing the number of unemployed. One city in West Java Province that faces problems related to employment is Depok City. This thesis discusses the efforts of the City of Depok in increasing the absorption of labor through the job fair, namely by maximizing the functions of the Productivity Training and Work Training Institutions Fields, and the Field of Job Placement and Expansion. The theory used in this research is the theory of the concept of employment, the concept of the labor market and the absorption of labor, the concept of the job market, and the concept of the SWOT analysis. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive design that describes the efforts of the  Department of Labor in Depok City in increasing employment. The results of this study indicate that the efforts of the  Department of Labor in Depok City in increasing the number of employment through the job market are still faced with many problems. This problem can be seen from the absence of BLK as a workforce training center; the lack of company participation in compulsory reporting; the absence of integration of manpower data; as well as the condition of the Covid-19 pandemic which hindered the running of Depok Citys Manpower employment programs."
