"Nearly three-quarters of college students cheat during their undergraduate careers, a startling number attributed variously to the laziness of today's students, their lack of a moral compass, or the demands of a hypercompetitive society. For James Lang, cultural or sociological explanations like these are red herrings. His provocative new research indicates that students often cheat because their learning environments give them ample incentives to try--and that strategies which make cheating less worthwhile also improve student learning. Cheating Lessons is a practical guide to tackling academic dishonesty at its roots. Drawing on an array of findings from cognitive theory, Lang analyzes the specific, often hidden features of course design and daily classroom practice that create opportunities for cheating. Courses that set the stakes of performance very high, that rely on single assessment mechanisms like multiple-choice tests, that have arbitrary grading criteria: these are the kinds of conditions that breed cheating. "Penelitian ini menyelidiki skala baru yang dikembangkan dari skala assertiveness dalam suatu hubungan yang disebut “I’ll Call You” Relationship Assertiveness Scale (ICYRAS). Kuesioner diberikan kepada 141 siswa The University of Queensland yang terdaftar dalam kelas psikologi. Setelah semua data dikumpulkan, ICYRAS diuji untuk realibilitas, validitas, Item Discrimination Indices, dan validitas dalam korelasi dengan RAS, FNE, dan Umur. Berdasarkan hasil yang telah diperoleh, satu hipotesa didukung, namun dua hipotesis ditolak. Didalam studi ini, ditemukan bahwa: (a) ICYRAS mempunyai korelasi positif dengan RAS, (b) ICYRAS berkorelasi positif dengan Takut skala Negatif Evaluasi (FNE), dan (c) ICYRAS juga berkorelasi positif dengan usia. Selain itu, ditemukan bahwa sebagian besar item mempunyai indeks diskriminatif baik. Hanya satu item yang memerlukan perbaikan untuk kedepannya, Sebagai saran kedepannya, ICYRAS dapat diuji untuk siswa di luar The University of Queensland untuk mendapatkan hasil yang lebih umum dan mengumpulkan partisipan dengan jenjang umur yang seimbang.

This study explored the newly developed scale of assertiveness in relationship called “I’ll Call You” Relationship Assertiveness Scale (ICYRAS). Questionnaire was administered to 141 The University of Queensland students who enrolled in Measurement psychology class. After the data being collected, ICYRAS was tested for its reliability, validity, Item Discrimination Indices, and validity in correlation with RAS, FNE, and Age. Related to the hypothesis, one was supported, yet two of the hypotheses were rejected by the results. It was found that: (a) ICYRAS was positively correlated with RAS, (b) ICYRAS was positively correlated with Fear of Negative Evaluation (FNE) scale, and (c) ICYRAS was also positively correlated with age. In addition, it was discovered that most of ICYRAS items were good discriminating indices. As the future improvement, ICYRAS can be tested to outside students of The University of Queensland in order to get more general result and gather more even age group participants."

"Maraknya perilaku agresif yang terjadi memunculkan pemikiran akan perlunya pengembangan alat ukur psikologi mengenai agresi. Tes yang mampu mengukur agresi dibutuhkan untuk memprediksi dan mengukur tingkat kekerasan pada populasi klinis, termasuk di sini pelaku tawuran pelajar. Melalui pemikiran akan perlunya pengembangan alat ukur agresi, dan keunggulan pads AQ sebagai instrumen yang mengukur agresi, maka penulis merasa perlu dilakukan penelitian terhadap AQ, yang telah diadaptasi dan dimodifkasi oleh Widyastuti (1996). Karena itu, penulis melakukan uji alat ukur AQ dengan membandingkan respon siswa pelaku dan bukan pelaku tawuran pelajar.
Dalam penelitian ini digunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subyek pada kelompok tawuran pelajar merupakan siswa-siswa (laki-laki) SMK A, sementara subyek pada kelompok bukan tawuran pelajar adalah siswasiswa SMA B. Jumlah keseluruhan subyek 99 orang, dengan 50 orang clan kelompok tawuran dan 49 orang dari kelompok bukan tawuran.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa agresi pada kelompok tawuran lebih tinggi secara signifikan dibandingkan agresi pada kelompok bukan tawuran. Tingkat agresi pada kelompok bukan tawuran secara signifikan Iebih bervariasi dibandingkan pada kelompok bukan tawuran. Perbedaan agresi pada kelompok tawuran dan bukan tawuran narnpak jelas pada dimensi agresi fisik, dimana kelompok tawuran memiliki tingkat agresi fisik yang cenderung lebih tinggi sementara untuk dimensi agresi yang lain, yaitu agresi verbal, agresi marah, dan agresi benci, nampak tidak ada perbedaan signifikan pada kedua kelompok. Tingginya agresi pada kelompok tawuran dibandingkan kelompok bukan tawuran sesuai dengan asumsi peneliti dan ini menjelaskan bahwa AQ bisa membedakan individu yang cenderung agresif dan cenderung tidak agresif."

"Enpowering information technology (IT) has revealed new dimention of ethical behavior. There are contradictions in prior research result about ethics in using IT, especially in academic scheme. Some researchers concluded that there are no different ethical behavior between IT students and general students (non-IT program) because IT could self-learned. However, other researchers concluded that there is different ethical behavior among individual who has higher IT knowledge and individual who has no or little IT knowledge. this research analyzes moral intensity and ethics in IT students and business students. There are two results from this research, they are: first, there is different perception toward ethical on IT between IT students and accounting students. Both of sample groups dissagree with unethical behavior but in different level. IT students has higher level of dissagreement of unethical on IT than accounting studens; second, unethical behavior on IT has influenced by moral intensity. These results imply that higher education intitution has important role to direct ethical behavior of their students."

"Perjalanan kehidupan suatu bangsa tidak pernah lepas dari pergerakan kaum terpelajar atau mahasiswa. Pergerakan mahasiswa lahir dari nasionalisme dan perubahan sosial. Demikian juga dengan Indonesia; diawali dengan pergerakan nasional Budi Utomo dan Sumpah Pemuda yang berhasil membawa bangsa Indonesia merdeka. Pergerakan mahasiswa juga berperan dalam melahirkan orde baru yang menggantikan orde lama, demikian juga orde reformasi yang menggantikan orde baru. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh nasionalisme dan perubahan sosial pada pergerakan mahasiswa di era reformasi, dengan pendekatan studi pustaka dan angket. Pergerakan mahasiswa di era reformasi dipicu oleh nasionalisme, yaitu krisis ekonomi dan kebijakan pemerintah, serta menghantarkan pada perubahan sosial pergantian pimpinan nasional dan kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara yang demokratis.
Pasca 1998, pergerakan mahasiswa banyak mengusung kepentingan subyektif mahasiswa. Persepsi mahasiswa terhadap nasionalisme mahasiswa, perubahan sosial, dan pergerakan mahasiswa mempunyai derajat yang seimbang dengan angka prosentase yang sama-sama tinggi. Namun persepsi mahasiswa terhadap nasionalisme dan perubahan sosial rendah. Berdasarkan analisis korelasi semakin tinggi nasionalisme mahasiswa akan semakin tinggi pula pergerakan mahasiswa; semakin tinggi perubahan sosial akan semakin tinggi pergerakan mahasiswa; dan semakin tinggi nasionalisme mahasiswa dan perubahan sosial akan semakin tinggi pergerakan mahasiswa. Peran pergerakan mahasiswa dalam ketahanan nasional ditinjau dari aspek politik, ekonomi, sosial budaya, dan pertahanan keamanan, dengan tujuan mempertahankan NKRI.

Life journey of a nation is inseparable from the movement of educated group of people, or then refers to as students. This students? movement bears from what so called nationalism and social changes. So does in Indonesia; Budi Utomo and Sumpah Pemuda initiated the national movements in this nation, which led to Indonesia?s independence. In the past, the students movement also played a significant role in delivery of the new order replacing the old order, as well as of the reform order substituting the new order. This research was conducted to find out the effects of nationalism and social changes on the students movement through literature study approach and questionnaire circulation.
Students movement in the reform era was triggered with nationalism upon economic crisis and government policy which then brought about social changes, replacement of national leaders, and more democratic national life. Soon after1998, the students movement carried a lot of subjective interest of students. The students perception on the students nationalism, social changes, and , students movement had an equivalent degree with the same high percentage. However, the students perception on nationalism and social changes was low. Based on the correlation analysis, the greater the students? nationalism the greater the student? movement; the greater the social changes the greater the students movement; and the greater the students nationalism and social changes the greater the students? movement. The role of students movement in the national resilience was viewed from the aspects of politics, economics, socio-culture, and security defence, and was intended to strongly maintain the unitary state of Indonesia.

"The objectives of this research are to get knowledge about what contributions that higher education
can provide to build students? ethical perception and awareness of fraud prevention. To achieve these
objectives, the research was conducted toward accounting students at Yogyakarta State University.
Data were collected using questionnaires distributed to 149 students. The analysis of the data used
path analysis. Based on the result of the survey to the respondents, the research provides evidence
that higher education has a positive and significant influence to build students? ethical perception
through internalizing objectivity and professional responsibility in the intermediate auditing course.
In addition, it is also proven that accounting students who have high level of ethical perception are
able to build awareness of fraud prevention.
Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi yang bisa diberikan pendidikan tinggi untuk
membangun persepsi etis pada diri mahasiswa Akuntansi dan efeknya di kemudian hari terhadap
kesadaran dalam mencegah fraud. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penelitian dilaksanakan terhadap
mahasiswa Akuntansi di Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket yang
disebarkan kepada 149 mahasiswa sebagai sampel penelitian. Data kemudian dianalisis dengan
menggunakan teknik analisis jalur. Berdasarkan hasil survei atas pendapat mahasiswa, pendidikan
tinggi mampu memberikan kontribusi positif dan signifikan terhadap upaya menciptakan persepsi
etis mahasiswa Akuntansi dengan melalui internalisasi objektivitas dan tanggung jawab profesional
dalam perkuliahan Pengauditan. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga berhasil membuktikan bahwa
mahasiswa yang memiliki persepsi etis yang tinggi mampu membangun kesadaran untuk mencegah
fraud."

"ABSTRACT
As students of distance education institutions, the interest of Universitas Terbuka's students in following the online tutorials showed an increasing number from year to year. However, the number of students who actively following the online tutorial apparently not as big as the number of students who activated the tutorial. This showed that there were certain factors that caused students did not participate actively. A quantitative approach was used to explain the effect of online tutorial service quality on students' satisfaction and loyalty. Data collected through an online survey to all participants in the Faculty of Law, Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) which selected using accidental sampling technique. Furthermore, the data was analyzed by using the regression analysis and the univariate analysis. These analyses showed that the SERVQUAL model could be used to measure the learning services quality from multidimensional. Learning support services via the Internet (online tutorial) provided by UT stated in the good and satisfactory category. However, there were aspects of learning support services that still needed to be fixed by Universitas Terbuka, especially the accuracy of tutorial services provided by tutors, the speed of time to respond, giving feedback, and answering student questions."
