"Praktek menyusui selama kehamilan masih banyak dilakukan oleh wanita, termasuk di Indonesia. Penelitian yang sudah dilakukan sebelumnya melaporkan hal yang tidak konsisten. Sebagian menyatakan bahwa praktek ini bermanfaat, yang lainnya melaporkan ada resiko baik pada ibu, janin dan anak yang disusui. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menginterpretasikan praktek menyusui selama masa kehamilan dari perspektif wanita. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain fenomenologi interpretatif dengan wawancara mendalam terhadap tujuh partisipan yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan tahapan analisis Van Manen dan diperoleh 11 tema. Secara umum ibu yang menyusui selama masa kehamilan mengalami dilema antara memenuhi hak anak terhadap ASI dan keinginanya untuk berhenti menyusui. Hasil penelitian ini menyarankan agar tenaga kesehatan memberikan pendidikan kesehatan pada ibu hamil yang masih menyusui tentang cara melakukan penyapihan yang benar pada anak.

Breastfeeding during pregnancy is still a common practice including in Indonesia. There are inconclusive findings regarding the benefit and the risk of the practice for mother, fetus and breastfed baby. This study aimed to interpret the breastfeeding practice during pregnancy from women perspective. Interpretative phenomenology design was applied where in-depth interviews were conducted to seven participants who purposively sampled. The qualitative data were analyzed using the Van Manen analysis stages in which eleven themes were obtained. Generally, it was found that mothers who continue their breastfeeding during pregnancy experience dilemma between the will to fulfill baby's right to lactation or to discontinue the breastfeeding. This study suggested that health providers should conduct health education to the breastfeeding pregnant women about how to perform correct weaning to their babies."

"Kehamilan diharapkan dapat berlangsung aman dan lancar hingga melahirkan. Akan tetapi wanita hamil sangat beresiko mengalami penyulit atau komplikasi yang tidak diinginkan, salah satunya adalah abortus inkomplit. Fenomena tersebut mendorong profesi keperawatan untuk terus mengembangkan ilmu sejalan dengan tuntutan masyarakat terhadap pelayanan kesehatan yang berkualitas. Laporan ini bertujuan menggambarkan pelaksanaan praktek residensi keperawatan maternitas selama satu tahun, meliputi asuhan keperawatan pada masa childbearing normal dan resiko tinggi, bayi baru lahir normal dan resiko tinggi, perempuan yang mengalami masalah reproduksi dan ginekologi di tatanan klinik maupun di komunitas. Residen juga melakukan asuhan keperawatan pada kasus focus of interest yaitu abortus inkomplit dengan mengaplikasikan teori need for help yang dikombinasikan dengan teori social support. Laporan ini juga mengemukakan hambatan dan dukungan pada pelaksanaan praktek residensi. Selain itu, laporan ini juga memaparkan tentang kegiatan pencapaian kompetensi perawat spesialis maternitas melalui penerapan peran sebagai pemberi perawatan, pendidik, konselor, koordinator, komunikator, advokat, agen perubahan dan peneliti.
