Kinkakuji Shrine_s arson in 1950 becomes the reason for Mishima Yukio to write a novel titled Kinkakuji. The main character of the novel, Mizoguchi, is based by the real arsonist, therefore the main character also has a mental disorder like the real arsonist. This thesis is written to know the factors that makes Mizoguchi to have mental disorder. From the analysis can be found that the factors came from the outside. Those factors are because of childhood trauma, father_s doctrine, and his friends_ ridicule on his stuttering that makes him isolate himself from the outside world.
