"ABSTRAKSalah satu industri rekreasi terbesar di Jepang terletak pada industri rekreasi hobi yaitu pada industri budaya popular Jepang atau yang biasa disebut Japanese popular culture yang telah berhasil menarik perhatian masyarakat internasional Berbagai jenis budaya populer Jepang ini dapat dinikmati oleh konsumen di Jepang maupun di luar Jepang melalui berbagai macam media mulai dari media cetak radio televisi CD DVD hingga yang terkini yaitu melalui internet Salah satu dari beberapa jenis situs yang populer di internet adalah situs video sharing Di Jepang situs video sharing yang populer sejak beberapa tahun terakhir adalah situs Nico Nico Douga Penulis ingin meneliti apa yang ada di balik situs Nico Nico Douga selain sebagai sarana rekreasi Bagaimana jika sarana rekreasi ini tidak lagi hanya menjadi upaya revitalisasi tubuh dan jiwa dengan cara ldquo menjauh rdquo sementara dari aktivitas rutin dalam kehidupan sehari hari namun justru menjadi ldquo realitas baru rdquo tempat ldquo melarikan diri rdquo dari kehidupan sehari hari Dengan pertanyaan tersebut penulis berharap dapat menemukan dan menganalisis fenomena hyperreality di Jepang diamati melalui situs Nico Nico Douga
