"[Isi jurnal ini membahas tokoh dan penokohan Cheng Dieyi (程蝶衣) dalam novel dan film Farewell My Concubine （霸王别姬）. Tujuan penulisan adalah membandingkan kedua unsur instrinsik tersebut dalam film dan novel untuk mengetahui perubahan pada tokoh dan penokohan akibat ekranisasi. Kedua karya tersebut mengisahkan sebuah perjalanan kehidupan , karir, dan kisah cinta seorang aktor pemain opera Beijing terkenal bernama Cheng Dieyi, dengan berlatar Cina era warlord hingga Cina era pasca Revolusi Budaya. Sumber data penulisan adalah novel dan film Farewell My Concubine serta beberapa buku mengenai teori penelitian sastra dan perfilman.

"Dalam kesehariannya, manusia secara rutin berkomunikasi dengan lingkungannya. Dalam proses komunikasi, bahasa merupakan hal yang tidak dapat dihindari, baik bahasa verbal maupun non-verbal. Tindak komunikasi adalah proses penyampaian ide dari penutur kepada lawan tutur yang dapat dilakukan melalui berbagai media, salah satunya adalah komik. Jurnal ini membahas tindak tutur yang diujarkan oleh tokoh polisi pada komik Kiekeboe (In het Spoor van Dede) karya Merho. Tokoh utama pada komik ini tentu saja Kiekeboe, namun polisi memiliki peran yang sangat dominan dalam komik ini. Merho adalah seorang komikus asal Belgia yang menerima penghargaan tertinggi untuk komikus di Flandria. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode studi kepustakaan. Dalam tulisan ini, penulis menggunakan teori tindak tutur dari Searle.

On daily basis, human constantly communicate with their surroundings. In the process of communication, language is inevitable, verbally or non-verbally. Moreover, speech of act is a progress of delivering ideas between communicators through various of medium, such as comic books. This journal will discuss about ?speech of acts? that is represented by the police character in ?Kiekeboe? (In het Spoor van Dede), a detective genre comic by Merho. The main character in this comic is Kiekeboe, but the police character has a dominant role in this comic. Merho is a comic author from Belgium who received the highest recognition awards for comic author in Flanders. This research uses literature review method. Speech of act theory from Searle is used on this writings."

"ABSTRAKTulisan ini membahas tentang bagaimana dampak yang dapat diberikan dari penggunaan aktor senior dalam era Hollywood abad ke-21 untuk meningkatkan kualitas film. Dampak yang diberikan oleh aktor senior tersebut dapat berupa tentang bagaimana pengalaman dan ilmunya mampu mempengaruhi kualitas film dari segi komersil dan segi nilai-nilai kehidupan. Hal ini bisa dilihat dari berbagai sisi, seperti dari kacamata sutradara, kacamata lawan main aktor dan kacamata khalayak atau fans dari aktor senior tersebut. Dari studi kasus yang dilakukan terhadap peran Robert De Niro dalam film The Intern, penulis menemukan adanya dampak yang terjadi terhadap penjualan film, dan bagaimana kehadiran De Niro sebagai aktor senior mampu memberikan semangat serta etos kerja yang lebih tinggi di dalam tim karena pengetahuan dan pengalaman yang dibawa oleh sang aktor.Kata kunci : film, the intern, robert de niro, aktor senior

"Artikel ini merupakan penelitian Film Frantz (2016) karya François Ozon dengan menganalisis representasi hubungan Jerman-Prancis di dalam film yang ditunjukkan melalui tokoh-tokoh. Penelitian ini menarik untuk di teliti karena adanya hubungan tidak langsung yang terlihat melalui tokoh yang bisa merepresentasikan Jerman dan Prancis. Film ini menceritakan kedatangan Adrien sebagai orang Prancis ke Jerman untuk menghilangkan penyesalannya setelah membunuh Frantz Hoffmeister, orang Jerman, dengan mendekatkan dirinya kepada keluarga Hoffmeister dan Anna, yang berakhir dengan tidak baik. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan mengkaji film sebagai sebuah teks untuk menguraikan struktur naratif dan sinematografis menggunakan teori film Boggs dan Petrie. Analisis struktur film diperdalam dengan pemaknaan menggunakan teori Roland Barthes. Untuk menjelaskan hubungan Jerman dan Prancis digunakan teori Representasi dari Stuart Hall. Analisis ini menunjukkan bahwa hubungan Jerman dan Prancis di perlihatkan tidak akan pernah menjadi baik dan perdamaian di antara mereka hanyalah sebuah utopia.

This article is a research on François Ozon's Film Frantz (2016) by analyzing the representation of German-French relations in the film as shown through the characters. This research is interesting to examine because there is an indirect relationship that can be seen through the figures that can represent Germany and France. This film tells of Adrien's arrival as a Frenchman to Germany to get rid of his regrets after killing Frantz Hoffmeister, a German, by getting closer to the Hoffmeister families and Anna, which ends badly. The method used in this research is a qualitative method by examining film as a text to describe narrative and cinematographic structures using Boggs and Petrie's film theory. The analysis of the film structure is deepened with meaning using Roland Barthes' theory. To explain the relationship between Germany and France, Stuart Hall's Representation theory is used. This research shows that the relationship between Germany and France is shown to never be good and peace between them is just an utopia."
