"This second edition of Helaine Selin’s successful Parenting Across Cultures comes at a time where interest in parenting has increased across the world as a result of the COVID pandemic, as parents and children were put into different and often challenging conditions. This new edition, like the first, contains chapters from countries in Asia, Africa, and South America as well as from indigenous cultures of several Western countries. The chapters were revised to include new research in the post-pandemic world. They show that there is a strong connection between culture and parenting: there are differences in affection and distance, harshness and repression, and acceptance and criticism. Some parents insist on obedience; others are concerned with individual development. This clearly differs from parent to parent, but there is just as clearly a connection to culture, which these chapters explore. In addition to the chapters on individual countries, the second edition includes a section on the pandemic, as well as new research on parenting and technology, gender, religion, adoption, step parenting, divorce, single parents, racism, gay parents, disabilities, autism, eating habits, transgender, attachment, migration, bullying, and refugee resettlement."

ABSTRACT
This thesis aims to verify the positive relationship between human conectedness to nature and pro environmental behavior that has been done from previous research. This research intended to seek if the relationship between human conectedness to the park and pro environmental behavior in Jabodetabek will be shows a sustainable housing behavior life that can be observed through how people treated their place of inhabitation. This study examined with quantitative method to see the relation between human natur e relatedness to the park and pro-environmental behavior through NR and NEP scale that has been modified to meet the aim of the research then continues with
observation by sustainable housing checklist. Humans continue to grow and develop technologies to support a better life; on the other hand the activities also have a negative impact on the environment. The construction of dwellings and other facilities can reduce the amount of green open space, where actually green open space is beneficial to humans especially as a source of oxygen. As an effort to reduce the negative impact of human activities on the environment, humans should be able to have a pro-environmental behavior. The pro-environmental behavior which is then manifested in the world of architecture can be started from the smallest scale of space, namely a place to live. Based on previous research, parks are one of the factors that can support the pro-environmental behavior through human nature relatedness, which in this study will then be proven in the life of a person based on the sustainability aspects of the habitation scale through sustainable housing categories from previous researchers."

"Due to the continuing expansion of the notion of security, various national, regional and international institutions now find themselves addressing contemporary security issues. While institutions may evolve by adjusting themselves to new challenges, they can also fundamentally alter the intricate balance between security and current legal frameworks. This volume explores the tensions that occur when institutions address contemporary security threats, in both public and international law contexts. As part of the Connecting International with Public Law series, it provides important and valuable insights into the legal issues and perspectives which surround the institutional responses to contemporary security challenges. It is essential reading for scholars, practitioners and policy makers seeking to understand the legal significance of security institutions and the implications of their evolution on the rule of law and legitimacy."

This study examines Arabic language learning strategies at the Indonesian School in Cairo (SIC), addressing the challenges posed by the diverse backgrounds of high school students. The students, primarily children of Indonesian Embassy staff, generally exhibit limitations in speaking and writing skills compared to elementary and middle school students, who are more accustomed to an Arabic-speaking environment. The teaching is conducted by native Egyptian instructors using textbooks published in Indonesia. Focusing on 11th-grade students, this study aims to analyze instructional strategies that can help students overcome their difficulties in learning Arabic. The findings are expected to serve as a reference for developing Arabic teaching strategies in similar schools abroad."
