ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini membahas konsep citra suatu kota dan strategi pembentukan merek suatu kota. Dua konsep tersebut yang lebih dikenal lewat kosnep city branding dan city image dianggap penting saat ini karena perkembangan teknologi informasi semakin pesat yang memberikan dampak bagi berbagai aktifitas masyarakat, khususnya bidang pemasaran. Layaknya sebuah produk, sebuah kota harus dapat diingat dan diasosiasikan dengan baik oleh konsumen sasaran jika ingin dianggap berbeda, unik dan memberikan nilai yang lebih baik, ditengah banyaknya informasi serupa tentang kota-kota lainnya yang bisa diterima masyarakat dalam waktu yang singkat, sehingga saat ini dibutuhkan strategi yang tepat dalam membangun citra kota yang diinginkan. Berdasarkan paparan tadi penelitian ini meneliti pola hubungan terbentuknya city image melalui kegiatan city branding, pada city brand “Enjoy Jakarta”, yang memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui dan menguji pengaruh antara variabel-variabel terkait pembentukan city image, seperti brand awareness, dan strategi perluasan merek seperti City Branding, Positioning dan Communicating the Brand yang membentuk suatu pola hubungan saling ketergantungan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain eksplanatif, responden pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa pascasarjana komunikasi Universitas Indonesia berjumlah 175 orang yang ditarik secara acak sederhana (simle random) pada populasi keseluruhan mahasiswa komunikasi pascasarjana angkatan 2012- 2013 yang berjumlah 317 orang. Metode analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis jalur (Path Analysis) untuk membuktikan hipotesa dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan dari variable-variabel yang diuji baik pada model struktur pertama maupun model struktur kedua. Pada struktur pertama terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan dari variable City Branding dan Communicating the Brand dalam membentuk Brand Awareness. Sedangkan pada model struktur kedua juga terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan pada variable City Branding, Positioning, Communicating the Brand, dan Brand Awareness dalam membentuk City Image. Sedangkan pada pola hubungan yang terjadi, pengaruh jalur pada variable positioning baik pengaruh lansung dan tidak lansung adalah pengaruh yang terbesar dalam membentuk City Image.
ABSTRACT
This research discusses about concept of city image and city brand forming strategy which are well-known by "city branding" and "city image" concept. Those concepts are important nowadays, because the rapid growth of information technology which gives impact to various citizen activities, especially on marketing area. As a product, a city should be able to be remembered and associated well by target consumer if the city wants to be considered different, unique and gives better value in the middle of a lot of similar informations about another cities that are also accepted by citizens in short time. Thus, now, a city needs an exact strategy in building the desired city image. Based on previous explanation, this research disscusses about relationship pattern in forming city image through city branding activity of "Enjoy Jakarta" city brand. This research objectives are to find out and examine the influence between variables related to the city image forming (such as: Brand Awareness and city branding development strategy: City Branding, Positioning and Communicating the Brand) which are forming an interrelated relationship pattern. This quantitative research uses explanative design. Total respondent is 175 with simple random sampling method. The whole population of communication postgraduate student year 2012-2013 is 317. The data analysis methods are descriptive statistical analysis and path analysis to prove this research hypothesis. Result from this research shows that there's a positive and significant influence from the tested variables, both in the first and second structure model. In the first structure, there are positive and significant influence from city branding and communicating the brand variables in forming brand awareness. Meanwhile, in the second structure, there are also positive and significant influence from city branding, positioning, communicating the brand and brand awareness in forming city image. In the formed relationship pattern of path influence, positioning variable has the biggest influence in forming city image, both on direct and indirect influence.

Who makes our cities, and what part do everyday users have in the design of cities? Kecamatan Menteng merupakan salah satu wilayah administrasi yang terdapat di Kota Jakarta Pusat, Provinsi DKI Jakarta. Dahulu Kecamatan Menteng merupakan salah satu tempat di Indonesia yang pernah dikembangkan dan memiliki lansekap bercirikan sebagai lsquo;kota taman rsquo;. Akan tetapi seiring perkembangan zaman, Kecamatan Menteng telah mengalami perubahan karakteristik lingkungan terutama yang berkaitan dengan konsep kota taman. Perubahan karakteristik lingkungan yang dialami oleh Kecamatan Menteng selanjutnya bisa mempengaruhi kepekaan tempat penduduk dan identitas yang dimiliki oleh kecamatan tersebut. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis pola karakteristik lingkungan Kecamatan Menteng yang ditinjau dari kepekaan tempat penduduk dan identitas tempat yang terbentuk pada Kecamatan Menteng seiring perubahan karakteristik lingkungan yang terjadi sebagai kota taman. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap informan kunci dan penyebaran kuesioner kepada pelaku berbagai kegiatan di Kecamatan Menteng. Semua data yang telah terkumpul diketagorikan ke dalam beberapa tema. Proses analisis dilakukan dengan metode triangulasi antara literatur sejarah Kecamatan Menteng, dokumen perencanaan Kecamatan Menteng, penemuan kata kunci dan tema dari hasil wawancara. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa apabila ditinjau berdasarkan kepekaan tempat penduduk, secara keseluruhan wilayah Kecamatan Menteng saat ini sudah tidak lagi memiliki karakteristik lingkungan sebagai kota taman. Wilayah Kecamatan Menteng yang masih memiliki sisa-sisa dari karakteristik lingkungan bercirikan kota taman adalah wilayah Kecamatan Menteng bagian selatan. Sementara untuk identitas tempat yang melekat pada wilayah Kecamatan Menteng adalah sebagai tempat hunian bagi penduduk yang memiliki image ellite serta tempat kegiatan bernilai ekonomi tinggi. Sebagai kesimpulan didapatkan bahwa secara fisik Kecamatan Menteng sudah banyak mengalami perubahan, kecuali pada wilayah bagian selatan. Secara sosial, Kecamatan Menteng juga telah mengalami perubahan karakter dan identitas.
ABSTRACT
Menteng Subdistrict is one of the administrative areas located in the Central Jakarta City, DKI Jakarta Province. Formerly Menteng Subdistrict is one of the places in Indonesia that has been developed and has a landscape characterized as 39 garden city 39 . Along with the times of development, Menteng Subdistrict has experienced changes in environmental characteristics particularly associated with the concept of garden city. The changes of environmental characteristics that experienced by Menteng subdistrict could further affect to the citizen rsquo s sense of place and the identity of those subdistrict. This research conducted to analyze the environmental characteristics pattern of Menteng Subdistrict based on the citizen rsquo s sense of place and the place identity where is formed in Menteng Subdistrict along with environmental characteristic changes as garden city. Data collection is conducted through in depth interviews with key informants and distribute questionnaires to actors of various activities in Menteng Subdistrict. All of collected data is categorized into several themes. Analysis process apply the triangulation method between historical literature of Menteng Subdistrict, of Menteng Subdistrict planning document, and discover keyword and theme from interview result. Results of the analysis shows that based on the citizen rsquo s sense of place, the whole area of Menteng Subdistrict now is no longer has an environmental characteristic as a garden city. Part of Menteng Subdistrict which still has remnants of environmental characteristics as garden city is at the southern region of that subdistrict. Whereas for the place identity that attached to the Menteng Subdistrict is as a shelter for residents who have an ellite image and place of high economic value activities. In conclusion, it is found that physically Menteng Subdistrict has been changed much,except the southern region. Socially, the character and identity of Menteng Subdistrict has been changed.

Program Ruang Publik Terpadu Ramah Anak di Kota Administrasi Jakarta Timur mulai dilaksanakan pada tahun 2015 dengan RPTRA Cililitan sebagai RPTRA pertama. Program ini bertujuan untuk menjamin terpenuhinya hak anak agar anak dapat hidup, tumbuh, berkembang, dan berpartisipasi secara optimal. Namun setelah hampir tiga tahun berjalan, terdapat beberapa masalah seperti fasilitas RPTRA yang dianggap minim di beberapa lokasi. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi implementasi program Ruang Publik Terpadu Ramah Anak di Kota Administrasi Jakarta Timur studi kasus RPTRA Cililitan, Kebon Pala Berseri, dan Permata Intan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan post-positivist dengan teknik pengumpulan data kualitatif melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi dan studi literatur. Dalam menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi implementasi, peneliti menggunakan teori Edward III. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dua faktor yang berpengaruh secara signifikan dalam implementasi Program RPTRA di Kota Administrasi Jakarta Timur studi kasus RPTRA Cililitan, Kebon Pala Berseri, dan Permata Intan. Namun terdapat faktor yang tidak berpengaruh, seperti belum terdapatnya Buku Pedoman Pengelolaan di beberapa RPTRA di Jakarta Timur, termasuk Cililitan dan Permata Intan, dan belum terdapatnya Standard Operational Procedurs SOP yang baku di Program RPTRA. ......The Child Friendly Integrated Public Space Program RPTRA in East Jakarta Administrative City was started in 2015 with RPTRA Cililitan as the first one. This program aims to guarantee the fulfillment of children 39 s rights so that children can live, grow, develop, and participate optimally. But after almost three years running, there are some problems such as RPTRA with minimal facilities in some locations. Based on these problems, this study aims to explain the factors that affect the implementation of Child Friendly Integrated Public Space Program RPTRA in East Jakarta Administration City Case of RPTRA Cililitan, Kebon Pala Berseri, and Permata Intan. This research uses post positivist approach with qualitative data collection technique through in depth interview, observation and literature study. In analyzing the, the researcher uses Edward III theory. The results showed that there are two factors that significantly affect the implementation of RPTRA Program in East Jakarta Administration City case study RPTRA Cililitan, Kebon Pala Berseri, and Permata Intan. However, there are no influential factors, such as the absence of Management Manual in some RPTRA in East Jakarta, including Cililitan and Permata Intan, and the absence of Standard Operational Procedures SOP in this Program.

Planning is described as being increasingly sidelined by the impacts of neo-liberal restructuring. At the same time, 'culture' is nowadays seen as the world's key intellectual resource possessing new creative weight in sociological, economic and environmental terms. This book argues that, in the light of this cultural turn, there is the opportunity to re-position planning and proposes an original, practical and robust system of 'culturisation'. Culturisation is defined as the ethical, critical and reflexive integration of culture into planning and potentially other areas such as public administration, corporate strategy and development thinking. Cultural theory, planning theory, global governance policy and recent, innovative culturised practices are all explored to this end. Although the last decade has seen steady progress towards wider acceptance of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, and queer (LGBTQ) individuals, LGBTQ residential and commercial areas have come under increasing pressure from gentrification and redevelopment initiatives. As a result many of these neighborhoods are losing their special character as safe havens for sexual and gender minorities. Urban planners and municipal officials have sometimes ignored the transformation of these neighborhoods and at other times been complicit in these changes. Planning and LGBTQ Communities brings together experienced planners, administrators, and researchers in the fields of planning and geography to reflect on the evolution of urban neighborhoods in which LGBTQ populations live, work, and play. The authors examine a variety of LGBTQ residential and commercial areas to highlight policy and planning links to the development of these neighborhoods.
