Drama is one of a genre in a literature written in a form of dialogue. The story in a drama is supposed to be told through the dialogues by the actors. Therefore, the process of writing a drama text must pay attention to the rule of communication, in order to have no misinterpretation by the audience. This rule of communication is related to the theory of sociolinguistics, which is 'the ethnography of SPEAKING'. This research has a purpose to explain the application of SPEAKING's components in a drama text titled Romeo en Julia.

Although Les pr cieuses ridicules was able to bring Moli re to success, his work invited many contradictions. The conversation in this work is an allusion to the current literary and social situation which refers to la pr ciosit women rsquo s group. This article discusses the critique of la pr ciosit group contained in the play Les pr cieuses ridicules by Moli re. This study aims to describe Moli re rsquo s social criticism using a structural approach and sociological approach. The results of the analysis of plot, character and characterization as well as the background associated with the background of French authors and social situations in the 17th century show that the critic addressed to la pr ciosit related to the behavior of woman pr cieuse who are too concerned with the appearance, style of language and rule in romance. This also makes them considered to forget about human character and moral values."

The issue of gender is one form of the diversity of social phenomena that is quite sensitive in the community. Each individual has the freedom to choose their respective gender roles. However, due to the understanding and values of patriarchal society that categorize gender roles, it has given rise to certain standards regarding the gender roles of women and men. Over time, the traditional gender roles in Korean society began to change. The representation of women's gender roles is reflected in a drama called My Mister. This study analyzes the gender roles of women represented through three female characters in the drama My Mister, by looking at the visual and oral narratives presented through pictures and dialogues between characters. The results of the study show that the gender role of women in the drama My Mister is divided into three categories, namely women in the public sector, women in the domestic sector, and women's masculinity in fighting violence which proves that there is a significant change in women's gender roles with the changing stereotypes of women in traditional gender roles."

"Shakespeare and Social Dialogue opens up a new approach to Shakespeare's language and the rhetoric of Elizabethan letters. Moving beyond claims about the language of individual Shakespearean characters, Magnusson develops a rhetoric of social exchange to analyze dialogue, conversation, sonnets, and particularly letters of the period, which are normally read as historical documents. The verbal negotiation of social and power relations such as service or friendship is explored in texts as diverse as Sidney family letters and Shakespeare's sonnets, merchant correspondence and Timon of Athens, Burghley's state letters and Henry IV Part . The book draws on ideas from discourse analysis and linguistic pragmatics, especially "politeness theory", relating these to key ideas in epistolary handbooks of the period, includingthose by Erasmus and Angel Day. Chapters on Henry VIII, King Lear, Much Ado About Nothing, and Othello demonstrate that Shakespeare's dialogic art is deeply rooted in the everyday language of Elizabethan culture. Magnusson creates a way of reading both literary texts and historical documents which bridges the gap between the methods of new historicism and linguistic criticism."
