ABSTRACT
In power system, the economic and reliability constraint can conflict, both in
design or operational stage, then need to optimize cost with acceptable system
reliability. According to the above statement, will be discussed power generation
optimization in Grissik Central Gas Plant using reliability analysis. It will
compare between saving cost opportunity and interruption value because of
reduce system reliability. Load shedding system will be implemented in the power
system to minimize the loss. Beside that from the operational point of view, will be
analyzed power generation ability during big motor starting. Based on
calculation and analysis, power generation optimization in Grissik Central Gas
Plant technically accepted and can give saving opportunity around USD
391.687,00 per year.

Abstrak :
In the highly capital-intensive electricity supply industry, it is essential that both engineers and managers understand the methodologies of project evaluation in order to comprehend and analyse investment proposals and decisions. This fully revised and updated edition of Economic Evaluation of Projects in the Electricity Supply Industry (IEE, 1996) takes a broad introductory approach, covering market and environmental issues, financial analysis and evaluation and clean environmental technologies and costs. New topics include electricity trading and risk management, evolving electricity utilities and new and future generation technologies in a carbon-constrained world.
