Jumlah sampel 24 responden. ABSTRACT
Evidence-Based Nursing Application Effect of Earplugs and Eye Mask on Quality Sleep in Patients in ICU. Sleep disorders in ICU are caused by many factors, including environment, noise, lighting, nursing activities, illness, nursing, medication therapy, and mechanical ventilation. The effects will affect the immune function, metabolic system, central nervous system regulation, and psychological conditions. The purpose of this study to apply and prove the effectiveness of the use of Earplug and Eye Mask in improving sleep quality in patients in ICU. The design used randomized controlled trial (RCT) crossover design. The researchers divide Group A and Group B by simple random sampling. The Total sample of 24 respondents. Sleep quality instrument using Richard Campbell Sleep Questionnaire (RCSQ). Data were analyzed by the Independent Sample T-Test. The result of this research is p-value <0,05, mean at alpha 5% there is a significant difference of sleep quality between first and second night in each group so it is suggested to be an evidence-based in a hospital as one of complementary therapy which can be made independent intervention nursing to help overcome sleep disorders.

Latar belakang. ......Background. Anxiety and depression are common problems among hemodialysis patients. Various factors have been believed to contribute to anxiety problems in patients. Comorbidities, vascular access type, fatigue, fear, financial status, duration of HD, number of dialysis sessions, blood urea nitrogen level, and age are various factors believed to contribute. Anxiety and depression will have a negative impact on the quality of life, in various domains of quality of life, it has also shown a decline in physical, mental and social well-being. Non-pharmacological interventions such as the use of stress balls can be options for reducing anxiety and depression experienced by patients. has been shown to have a positive effect on anxiety and depression in patients. Objective. Evidence-Based Nursing (EBN) aims to identify the effectiveness of stress balls in reducing anxiety and depression in 20 hemodialysis patients at Fatmawati Hospital. Method. The methodology used in EBN is pre-experimental which is carried out through 5 stages; (1) Identify phenomena, formulate clinical questions using the PICO concept, (2) search for related journals, (3) review/critical journals, (4) implement EBN based on selected journals, (5) evaluate the results of EBN implementation. Results. The average patient age characteristics are 42 years old, the majority are 24 women, with a duration of dialysis of around 36 months. Stress ball training is effective in reducing patient anxiety and depression using the HADS instrument, from a score of 10 to a score of 4 after being given intervention for 4 weeks. Conclusion. Stress ball training has been proven to be effective in reducing anxiety and depression scores in patients undergoing hemodialysis.
