"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Teori Tema Fantasi dalam kaitannya dengan pemeliharaan hubungan antarpribadi dan kohesivitas kelompok. Penelitian ini mempergunakan paradigma konstruktivis dengan pendekatan kualitatif interpretif. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi kasus purnawirawan yang tergabung dalam sebuah paguyuban. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa pengembangan Tema Fantasi mempertimbangkan faktor hubungan antarpribadi dan pemeliharaan kohesivitas kelompok. Pembentukan tema fantasi dapat dipergunakan untuk memelihara kohesivitas kelompok. Kohesivitas kelompok yang terpelihara memudahkan anggota kelompok membentuk tema fantasi dan mempererat jalinan hubungan antarpribadi. Jalinan hubungan antarpribadi memiliki keterkaitan dalam pembentukan tema fantasi dan pemeliharaan kohesivitas kelompok. Hubungan antarpribadi yang bernilai positif mampu membuat aktivitas komunikasi berjalan dengan efektif sehingga anggota kelompok memberi respon pada cerita atau fantasi yang sedang berkembang dalam kelompok.

This research aims to develop a theory of fantasy themes in relation to the maintenance of interpersonal relations and group cohesiveness. The study used the constructivist paradigm with qualitative interpretive approach. This study uses a case study of retired who are members of a community. Results of the study explained that the development of fantasy themes to consider the factor of interpersonal relations and the maintenance of group cohesiveness. The establishment of a fantasy theme can be used to maintain group cohesiveness. Group cohesiveness is maintained facilitate members of the group formed a fantasy theme and strengthen the fabric of interpersonal relationships. Interwoven interpersonal relationships have relevance in the establishment and maintenance of a fantasy theme group cohesiveness. Interpersonal relationship that is positive able to make communication activities run effectively so that members of the group to respond to the stories or fantasies emerging in groups."
