"Disertasi ini menghasilkan temuan bahwa clinical pathway yang disusun oleh berbagai profesi sesuai kompetensi, peran, tugas, dan tanggung jawab masing-masing profesi dalam perawatan pasien dapat digunakan sebagai media komunikasi, bekerja sama, berkoordinasi dalam praktek kolaborasi interprofesional. Praktek kolaborasi interprofesional dengan menggunakan clinical pathway dapat mengoptimalkan penggunaan antibiotik untuk mencegah terjadinya resistensi bakteri. Penelitian ini adalah kombinasi penelitian kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif analitik. Hasil penelitian menyarankan bahwa penyusunan clinical pathway tidak hanya berbasis bukti tetapi juga merupakan kesepakatan perawatan bersama oleh beberapa profesi tenaga kesehatan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan, terutama penggunaan antibiotik rasional.

The finding of this dissertation is clinical pathways prepared by various professions according to the competencies, roles, values, and responsibilities of each profession in patient care. A clinical pathway is a tool for communication, working together, and coordination in interprofessional collaborative practices. Interprofessional collaboration practices using clinical pathways can optimize the use of antibiotics to prevent bacterial resistance. This research is quantitative and qualitative research that analyzes analytics descriptively. The study suggests that the development of a clinical pathway is not only evidence based practice but also a joint agreement by several healthcare professionals to improve the quality of services, especially the rational use of antibiotics."

"The SAGES manual on the fundamental use of surgical energy (FUSE) emphasizes good communication and promotes best practice for the use of electrosurgical, ultrasonic, and microwave energy sources in the operating theatre. This manual describes the basic technology of energy sources in the operating room and demonstrates the correct use and indications of energy sources in clinical practice. It also addresses the potential complications, hazards, and errors in the use of surgical energy sources and evaluates the potential interactions of energy sources with other medical devices. Any healthcare professional who has ever picked up an energy device in the OR such as a “Bovie” , Ultrasonic or bipolar instrument will better understand how it works, when to apply it, and what are the possible hazards and errors in its use."

"Latar Belakang: Perawatan celah bibir dan langit-langit bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan kualitas hidup pasien, terutama dalam menormalisasi penampilan dan meminimalkan deformitas yang dapat memengaruhi aspek fisik dan psikologis pasien. Cheiloplasty bertujuan untuk memperbaiki anatomi dan fungsi normal. Teknik Cronin merupakan metode bedah yang digunakan untuk mempertahankan simetri vermilion border. Evaluasi hasil pascabedah sangat penting untuk menilai keberhasilan prosedur ini, salah satunya menggunakan metode Americleft. Tujuan: Mengevaluasi simetri nasolabial pasca cheiloplasty menggunakan teknik Cronin pada pasien celah bibir unilateral menggunakan metode Americleft. Metode: Penilaian foto 24 pasien yang telah menjalani cheiloplasty menggunakan teknik Cronin dievaluasi dengan metode Americleft. Uji reliabilitas intra- dan inter-rater dilakukan menggunakan Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC). Hasil: Uji reliabilitas intra-rater menunjukkan residen bedah mulut memiliki nilai ICC hampir sempurna (ICC = >0.90) pada semua komponen (Nasolabial Profile, Nasolabial Frontal, Vermilion Border, Basal View, Americleft Yardstick, Americleft Yardstick with Basal View). Uji reliabilitas inter-rater menunjukkan bahwa residen bedah mulut dan perawat memiliki ICC hampir sempurna (ICC >0.81). Kesimpulan: Evaluasi estetika nasolabial pasca cheiloplasty dengan teknik Cronin menggunakan metode Americleft menunjukkan hasil memuaskan dengan skor sangat baik hingga baik, menjadikannya pendekatan efektif untuk penilaian objektif.

Background: Treatment of cleft lip and palate aims to optimize patients' quality of life, primarily by normalizing appearance and minimizing deformities that may affect patients' physical and psychological aspects. Cheiloplasty is intended to restore normal anatomy and function. The Cronin technique is a surgical method used to maintain vermilion border symmetry. Postoperative evaluation is essential to assess the success of this procedure, one of which uses the Americleft method. Objective: To evaluate nasolabial symmetry after cheiloplasty using the Cronin technique in patients with unilateral cleft lip, using the Americleft method. Methods: Evaluation of photos of 24 patients who underwent cheiloplasty using the Cronin technique was conducted with the Americleft method. Intra- and inter-rater reliability tests were performed using the Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC). Result: The intra-rater reliability test showed that oral surgery residents achieved an almost perfect ICC value (ICC > 0.90) across all components (Nasolabial Profile, Nasolabial Frontal, Vermilion Border, Basal View, Americleft Yardstick, Americleft Yardstick with Basal View). The inter-rater reliability test indicated that oral surgery residents and nurses had an almost perfect ICC (ICC > 0.81). Conclusion: Nasolabial aesthetic evaluation after cheiloplasty using the Cronin technique and the Americleft method generally showed satisfactory results with very good to good scores, making it an effective approach for objective assessment."
