Pengaruh Penguatan Peran Mentor dengan Pendekatan Teori Caring Swanson terhadap Kompetensi Mentor dalam Program Mentorship AbstrakProgram mentorship efektif dalam membentuk perawat yang profesional, namun mentor belum diberikan dukungan yang baik dalam menjalankan perannya. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu melihat pengaruh penguatan peran mentor dengan pendekatan teori caring Swanson terhadap kompetensi mentor dalam program mentorship. Metode menggunakan pendekatan pre-eksperimental design, dengan melakukan intervensi pada satu kelompok tanpa kelompok kontrol. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik total sampling terhadap semua mentor di ruang rawat inap sebanyak 12 mentor. Observasi dilakukan pada 36 kali kegiatan mentoring, sehingga setiap mentor dilakukan penilaian observasi sebanyak tiga kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan mentor sebelum dan sesudah intervensi dengan p=0,0001;=0,05. Keterampilan mentor merupakan kompetensi mentor dengan peningkatan terendah 78,96 dibandingkan dengan pengetahuan 85,4 dan sikap mentor 84,65 . Faktor yang dominan yang mempengaruhi kompetensi mentor, yaitu pendidikan, pelatihan, penguatan pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan masukan kepada rumah sakit untuk meningkatkan kompetensi mentor dengan mengaplikasikan program mentorship dengan pendekatan teori caring Swanson, dengan mendukung pendidikan dan pelatihan mento.

ABSTRACT
The Influence of Strengthening Mentor rsquo s Role Approching The Swanson rsquo s Caring Theory to the Mentor rsquo s Competency in The Mentorship ProgramAbstract The mentorship program is effective in forming a professional nurse, but mentors have not been given good support in performing their role. The purpose of this study is to see the effect of strengthening the role of mentors using Swanson rsquo s caring theory to mentors competences in the mentorship program. The method used a pre experimental design approach, by intervening in one group without a control group. Sampling used total sampling technique for all mentors in the inpatient room of 12 mentors. Observations were conducted on 36 mentoring activities, so each mentor performed three observational observations. The results showed that there were significant differences in the knowledge, attitudes, and skills of mentors before and after intervention with p 0.0001 0.05. The mentor skill is the competence of mentor with the lowest increase 78,96 compared with knowledge 85,4 and mentor attitude 84,65 . The dominant factors affecting the competence of mentors are education, training, strengthening knowledge, attitudes, and skills. The results of this study provide suggestion to the hospital to improve the competence of mentors by applying mentorship program with Swanson rsquo s caring theory, by supporting education and mentor training. "Pada pelaksanaan magang, para pihak-pihak yang terlibat perlu menjalani dengan baik hak dan kewajiban masingmasing agar manfaat dari kegiatan magang dapat tersampaikan. Namun, beberapa penelitian ditemukan adanya penyalahgunaan kepentingan pihak-pihak yang terlibat dengan tidak memenuhi hak dan kewajiban mereka. Berangkat dari permasalahan ini, saya pernah terlibat langsung dengan konteks magang serupa di tahun 2021. Pada tulisan ini, saya akan berfokus pada pembahasan hubungan user-intern yang terjalin selama magang di PT. EDUKREATIF & PT. LOGI INDO dalam berperan menanamkan pengetahuan intern selama magang di tempat kerja beserta refleksi pribadi saya terhadap berjalannya kegiatan tersebut. Kerangka konsep utama yang saya digunakan pada tulisan ini adalah mentoring relationships, budaya organisasi, sosialisasi/enkulturasi, dan belonging. Data yang digunakan pada tulisan ini menggunakan pengalaman pribadi saya saat terlibat langsung dalam praktik magang perusahaan. Hasil temuan pada tulisan ini menyimpulkan bahwa hubungan mentoring user-intern berperan penting dalam keberlangsungan kegiatan magang intern. Terjalinnya hubungan mentoring antara userintern yang ideal akan mendukung proses pembelajaran intern (sebagai anggota baru) dalam memperoleh pengetahuan yang menyeluruh tentang perusahaan. Proses pembelajaran tersebut akan membawa intern pada pemahaman peran dan fungsi dirinya di tempat kerja. Pemahaman baik yang diperoleh intern mengenai peran dan fungsinya tersebut dapat menumbuhkan dengan baik sense of belonging mereka di tempat kerja.

In the implementation of the internship, the parties involved need to properly carry out their respective rights and obligations so that the benefits of the internship can be conveyed. However, several studies have found that there is an abuse of the interests of the parties involved by not fulfilling their rights and obligations. Departing from this problem, I have been directly involved with the context of a similar internship in 2021. In this paper, I will focus on discussing the user-interns relationship that existed during my internship at PT. EDU-KREATIF & PT. LOGI INDO plays a role in instilling internal knowledge during internships at work as well as my personal reflection on the progress of these activities. The main conceptual frameworks that I use in this paper are mentoring relationships, organizational culture, socialization/enculturation, and belonging. The data used in this paper uses my personal experience when directly involved in the company's internship practice. The findings in this paper conclude that the user-interns mentoring relationship plays an important role in the sustainability of intern’s internship activities. The establishment of an ideal mentoring relationship between user-intern will support the intern's learning process (as new members) in obtaining comprehensive knowledge about the company. The learning process will bring the intern to understand his role and function in the workplace. The good understanding gained by intern regarding their roles and functions can foster a good sense of belonging to them in the workplace."

"Berdasarkan penelitian terdahulu ditemukan bahwa mentorship quality memiliki hubungan positif dan signifikan terhadap subjective well-being individu. Akan tetapi, penelitian mengenai mentorship quality dan flourishing dalam konteks mahasiswa magang masih terbatas. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk melihat hubungan mentorship quality dan flourishing pada mahasiswa magang menggunakan analisis korelasi. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah The PERMA-profiler untuk flourishing dan Mentoring Functions Questionnaire (MFQ) untuk mentorship quality. Penelitian ini melibatkan partisipan yang berjumlah 195 mahasiswa magang dengan rentan usia 19 - 24 tahun (M= 21,5, SD = 0,741) yang berasal dari berbagai macam kota/kabupaten di Indonesia. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa hipotesis diterima, yang mana mentorship quality berhubungan secara positif dan signifikan dengan flourishing pada mahasiswa magang. Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat memberikan manfaat untuk penyusunan langkah konkrit untuk meningkatkan flourishing pada mahasiswa magang.

Based on previous research, it was found that the mentorship quality has a positive and significant relationship with the subjective well-being of individuals. However, research on the mentorship quality and flourishing in the context of student interns is still limited. This study aims to see the relationship between the mentorship quality and the flourishing in student interns using correlation analysis. The research instruments used in this study were PERMA-profiler for thrives and Mentoring Functions Questionnaire (MFQ) for the quality of mentorship. This study involved 195 student interns aged 19-24 years (M = 21.5, SD = 0.741) from various cities/regencies in Indonesia. The results of this study indicate that the hypothesis is accepted, where mentorship quality is positively and significantly related to the flourishing of student interns. The results of this study can provide benefits for the preparation of concrete steps to improve the flourishing of student interns."
