......These days, there are plenty jobs that involve mild physical activity for long periods of time. It can be one of the causes of metabolic syndrome. This research was done to find out whether the physical activity between employees of FMUI with and without metabolic syndrome were different using cross-sectional method. The data were collected from medical check-up results in 2012 and filled-out questionnaire in April-May 2015. The analysis results showed that the physical activity between the two groups (p>0.050). It was concluded that metabolic syndrome is a multifactorial illness caused by the lack of physical activity, as well as another metabolic factors.
