Perbandingan relasi kuasa antar gender dalam film Frozen dan Maleficent = Comparison of power relation between genders in Frozen and Maleficent films
"[ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini melanjutkan diskusi tentang kebebasan perempuan dan perubahan persepsi perempuan sebagai
makhluk yang lemah dan tidak independen. Penelitian ini menganalisis beberapa adegan dan dialog tertentu
dalam film Frozen dan Maleficent dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif analitis dengan menggunakan teori
film mis-en-scene untuk menemukan bagaimana hubungan kekuasaan antar gender dalam film baru Disney
berubah dibandingkan dengan film-film sebelumnya. Proses analisis akan menentukan apakah Disney telah
mengubah ideologi karakter wanita dalam film dikarenakan posisi perempuan di era sekarang ini. Hasil
penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media mulai menerima ideologi baru tentang kesetaraan gender di mana karakter
perempuan tidak lagi tunduk dan bergantung pada laki-laki.ABSTRACT This research continues the discussion about women independence and change of perception of women as weak
and dependent. This research analyzes certain scenes and dialogues in Frozen and Maleficent films using
analytical descriptive method by examining the mis-en-scene (theory of film) in order to find how power relation
between genders in new Disney movies shift from the old ones. The analytical process will determine if Disney
has shifted the ideology of female characters in films due to the position of women in today‟s era. The result
shows that media starts to accept new ideology of gender equality where female characters are no longer
submissive and dependent on men.;This research continues the discussion about women independence and change of perception of women as weak

Nihilisme di kota Gotham penggambaran pasca 9/11 pada film the Dark Knight Rises = Nihilism in Gotham: 9/11 Aftermath Depiction in The Dark Knight Rises
"[ABSTRAK
Nihilisme dalam perspektif Nietzsche adalah keadaan tertentu dimana tidak ada yang baik
maupun benar, semua hal menjadi tidak berarti. Sesuatu yang buruk dapat dianggap benar
dan sebaliknya. Konsep ?Kematian Tuhan? yang dinyatakan oleh Nietzsche memainkan
peran yang penting dalam film The Dark Knight Rises yang membuat film ini menjadi lebih
muram dibanding film-film Batman sebelumnya. Penulisan ilmiah ini akan menganalisa
bagaimana nihilisme mempengaruhi alur cerita film ini. Film ini akan dikontekstualisasikan
dengan membandingkannya ke situasi di Amerika Serikat setelah kejadian 9/11. Pada film
ini, teroris tidak selalu menjadi yang jahat, dan pahlawan tidak selalu menjadi yang benar.
Semua orang mengalami depresi.ABSTRACT Nihilism in Nietzsche perspective is the condition where there is neither right nor wrong in
particular condition, everything has no meaning. The bad can be considered good and vice
versa. The concept about ?The Death of God? which is stated by Nietzsche plays an
important role in The Dark Knight Rises that makes the film gloomier than the previous
Batman movies. This research paper will analyse how nihilism affects the flow of this movie.
The film will be contextualised by comparing it with the situation in U.S. condition after 9/11
accident. In this movie, terrorists do not always become the evil ones, and the hero does not
always become the good one. Everyone has experienced depressions., Nihilism in Nietzsche perspective is the condition where there is neither right nor wrong in
