Homosistein merupakan asam amino kelompok sulfhidril dari hasil metabolisme metionin. Faktor-faktor seperti, penuaan, defisiensi asam folat, vitamin B6 dan B12, dapat meningkatkan kadar homosistein. Telah dilakukan penelitian dengan desain studi potong lintang yang bertujuan mengetahui hubungan antara asupan folat dengan kadar homosistein pada usila perempuan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan selama bulan Desember 2012 sampai Januari 2013 di Pusaka 12 (Tomang) dan Pusaka 39 (Senen). Pengambilan subyek dilakukan dengan cara cluster random sampling, dan didapatkan 55 orang subyek yang memenuhi kriteria penelitian. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara meliputi usia, tingkat pendidikan, penghasilan, food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) semikuantitatif untuk menilai asupan folat, vitamin B6 dan B12. Pengukuran antropometri yaitu berat badan (BB) dan tinggi lutut (TL) untuk menilai status gizi berdasarkan indeks massa tubuh (IMT) serta pemeriksaan laboratorium meliputi kadar homosistein. Didapatkan rerata usia 69,2±6,3 tahun. Malnutrisi terdapat pada 78,2 % subyek. Sebagian besar subyek penelitian, memiliki asupan folat, vitamin B6 dan B12 yang kurang dari angka kecukupan gizi (AKG), yaitu masing-masing 92,7%, 87,3% dan 80%. Median asupan folat berbahan kedelai 17,9(0,75–151,2)%. Median kadar homosistein 13,95(7.92–29,21)μmol/L. Hiperhomosisteinemia ringan dan sedang didapatkan sebanyak 23,6% dan 3,6%. Pada penelitian ini tidak didapatkan hubungan bermakna antara asupan folat, vitamin B6 dan vitamin B12 dengan kadar homosistein (p=0,702, p=0,624, dan p=0,658). ......Homocysteine is an amino acid sulfhydryl group from the metabolism of methionine. Homocysteine levels influenced by various factors, ie aging, deficiency of folic acid, vitamin B6 and B12, can raise homocysteine level. The aim of the cross sectional study was to determine the relationship between intake of folate with homocysteine levels in elderly women. Data collection was conducted during December 2012 to January 2013 at the Pusaka 12 (Tomang) and Pusaka 39 (Senen). Subjects were obtained using cluster random sampling, and 55 subjects who met the study criteria were recruited. Data were collected through interviews include age, education level, income, and semiquantitative food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) to assess intake of folate, vitamin B6 and B12. Anthropometric measurements of the body weight (BW) and high-knee (TL) to assess the nutritional status based on body mass index (BMI) as well as laboratory examinations include homocysteine levels. This study obtained a mean age of 69.2 ± 6.3 years. Malnutrition was occurred in 78.2% of subjects. Majority of the subjects had intakes of folate, vitamin B6 and B12 were less than the nutritional adequacy rate (RDA), which is respectively 92.7%, 87.3% and 80%. Median folate intake from soybeans 17.9 (0.75 to 151.2)%. Median levels of homocysteine 13.95 (7.92-29,21) μmol/L. Mild hyperhomocysteinemia and intermediate hyperhomocysteine were obtained as 23.6% and 3.6%. No significant association was found between intake of folate, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12 with homocysteine levels (p = 0.702, p = 0.624, and p = 0.658).

Tujuan Penelitian ini bertujuan menilai adanya perubahan kadar mikronutrien besi folat zinc dan selenium pada wanita hamil setelah pemberian multivitamin dan multimineral Metode Wanita hamil trimester 1 yang melakukan antenatal care di poliklinik Fetomaternal Rumah Sakit Cipto Mangunkusumo periode Juli hingga Oktober 2011 masuk sebagai subjek penelitian Intervensi dilakukan dengan memberikan multivitamin dan mineral yang dikonsumsi 1 tablet perhari selama 3 bulan Pengukuran kadar besi folat zinc dan selenium serum sebelum dan sesudah pemberian multivitamin dan multimineral menjadi keluaran penelitian Analisis statistik menggunakan uji T berpasangan dan uji Wilcoxon Hasil Sebanyak 28 wanita hamil trimester 1 yang bersedia ikut dalam penelitian dan menjalani pemeriksaan kadar mikronutrien sebelum dan sesudah pemberian multivitamin dalam periode penelitian Sebelum pemberian multivitamin kadar besi dan zinc di bawah normal kadar selenium dalam batas normal dan kadar folat di atas normal Pasca suplementasi multivitamin dan multimineral kadar zinc di bawah normal kadar besi dan selenium dalam batas normal dan kadar folat di atas normal Didapat penurunan kadar zinc dan peningkatan kadar folat pasca suplementasi yang bermakna secara statistik p 0 009 p 0 003 Didapat penurunan kadar besi dan peningkatan kadar selenium yang tidak bermakna secara statistik p 0 295 p 0 333 Kesimpulan Terdapat penurunan kadar zinc dan peningkatan kadar folat pasca suplementasi multivitamin dan multimineral Kata Kunci Mikronutrien suplementasi multivitamin dan multimineral
ABSTRACT
Abstract Objective To measure changes of serum iron folate zinc and selenium level on pregnant woman after multi micronutrient supplementationMethod First trimester pregnant woman whom attended Maternal Fetal Policlinic at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital from July 2011 till October 2011 was considered into the study The intervention was consumption of multi micronutrient tablet once a day for three months period Measurements of serum level of iron folate zinc and selenium before and after supplementation were our outcomes We used paired T Test and Wilcoxon test for statistical analysis Results We had a total of 28 pregnant women of first trimester whom participated in the study and had measurement of micronutrient serum level before and after supplementation during the time period Before supplementation Serum iron and zinc level were below normal Serum selenium level was normal with higher than normal serum folate level After supplementation serum zinc level was found to be below normal Both level of serum iron and selenium increased to normal Serum folate level was higher than normal We found a decrease of serum zinc level with an increase in serum folate level that was statistically significant p 0 009 p 0 003 respectively We found slight decrease of serum iron level and an increase of serum selenium level that were not statistically significant p 0 295 p 0 333 Conclusion There is a decreased level of serum zinc with an increase in serum folate level after multi micronutrient supplementationKeywords Multi micronutrient supplementation

Suplemen kesehatan dapat mengandung satu atau lebih bahan berupa vitamin, mineral, asam amino dan/atau bahan lain baik dari tumbuhan atau bukan tumbuhan. Suplemen Kesehatan dapat sampai kepada konsumen melalui berbagai bentuk komunikasi, salah satunya adalah iklan dalam media cetak, elektronik, dan iklan luar griya. Iklan bersifat persuasif dan berfungsi untuk menarik konsumen untuk membeli dan menggunakan suatu produk yang ditampilkan. Agar informasi dalam iklan suplemen kesehatan yang diperoleh konsumen merupakan informasi yang utuh atau objektif, lengkap, tidak berlebihan, dan tidak menyesatkan publik, maka perlu pengawasan oleh BPOM. Bentuk pengawasan yang dilakukan berupa registrasi pengajuan iklan ke BPOM secara online melalui aplikasi SIREKA (Sistem Informasi Registrasi Iklan). Suplemen kesehatan dapat diiklankan apabila telah memiliki izin edar dan telah memperoleh surat persetujuan iklan dari Kepala BPOM. Oleh karena itu, diharapkan informasi dalam iklan suplemen kesehatan yang sampai kepada konsumen merupakan informasi yang telah memenuhi persyaratan. ......Health supplements contains of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and/or other ingredients, either from plants or non-plants. Health Supplements can reach consumers through various forms of communication, one of which are advertisements in printed media, electronic, and any kind of advertisements. Advertising is persuasive and aim to attract consumers to buy and use the product that is displayed. In order to advertise of health supplements, information should be complete, not excessive, and does not mislead the public, so it is necessary to supervise by BPOM. The form of supervision conducted registering advertisement to BPOM by online through the SIREKA application (Advertising Registration Information System). Health supplements can be advertised if they have already a marketing authorization and have obtained an advertising approval letter from the Head of BPOM. Therefore, information in health supplement advertisements that has met the requirements are expected to be read by consumers.

Vitamin mempunyai fungsi penting pada proses biokimia tubuh dan berperan penting pada proses utama tubuh manusia. Produk vitamin digunakan untuk menjaga kesehatan, mengembalikan vitalitas, mengontrol berat badan dan pencegahan penyakit. Dalam rangka menjamin kualitas, pemenuhan persyaratan regulatori dan untuk menetapkan asupan gizi pada beberapa populasi perlu dilakukan penetapan kadar vitamin pada makanan dan suplemen nutrisi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendapatkan metode penetapan kadar secara simultan thiamin hidroklorida, riboflavin, nikotinamida, dekspantenol, piridoksin hidroklorida, sianokobalamin dan asam askorbat dalam sediaan sirup tetes anak secara Kromatografi Cair Kinerja Ultra Tinggi Tandem Spektrometri Massa (KCKUT-SM/SM). Pemisahan dilakukan dengan kolom ACQUITY UPLC® BEH Shield C8 (2,1 mm x 50 mm; 1,7 μm), fase gerak yaitu campuran amonium format 10 mM dalam asam format 0,2% pH 2,8 dengan metanol secara elusi gradien dengan laju alir 0,4 mL/menit yang dicapai dalam waktu 6,5 menit. Metode ionisasi yang digunakan adalah electrospray ionization positive (ESI +) dengan tipe reaksi Multiple Reaction Monitoring (MRM). Hasil konfirmasi 7 vitamin larut air dari puncak ion induk dan ion anak yaitu thiamin HCl pada m/z 265,15>122; riboflavin pada m/z 377,20>243,10; nikotinamida pada m/z 123>80,10; piridoksin HCl pada m/z 170,10> 152,00; sianokobalamin pada m/z 678,45>147,05; dekspantenol pada m/z 206,05>76,00 dan asam askorbat pada m/z 177,00>94,90. Hasil validasi metode menunjukkan memenuhi kriteria keberterimaan presisi, perolehan kembali dan linearitas. Metode ini diaplikasikan untuk penetapan kadar vitamin B komplek dari 2 jenis sampel sirup yang diperoleh dari pasaran
ABSTRACT
Vitamin has an important function in biochemical processes and plays an important role in the main process of the human body. Vitamin products are used to maintain health, restore vitality, weight control and disease prevention. To comply with regulatory requirements and to establish nutrient intake in some populations, need to ensure the quality of vitamins in food and nutritional supplements. This study aims to obtain a simultaneously method for quantification of thiamin hydrochloride, riboflavine, nicotinamide, dexpanthenol, pyridoxine hydrochloride, cyanocobalamine and ascorbic acid in pediatric syrup by Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography Tandem Mass Spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS). The separation was using ACQUITY UPLC® BEH Shield C8 column (2,1 mm x 50 mm; 1,7 m), mobile phase was mixture of 10 mM ammonium formate in 0,2% formic acid pH 2,8 with methanol by gradient elution at flow rate 0,4 mL/min achieved in 6,5 minutes. Ionization method was positive electrospray ionization (ESI +) with Multiple Reaction Monitoring (MRM). Confirmation result of 7 water-soluble vitamin parent ions and daughter ion of thiamine HCl at m/z 265,15> 122; riboflavine at m/z 377,20> 243,10; nicotinamide at m/z 123> 80,10; pyridoxine HCl at m/z 170,10> 152,00; cyanocobalamine at m/z 678,45> 147,05; dexpanthenol at m/z 206,05> 76,00 and ascorbic acid at m/z 177,00> 94,90. The result of method validation showed that the method fulfill the acceptance criteria of precision, recovery and linearity. This method is applied to determine the water-soluble vitamins from two types of pediatric syrup in the market
