"Tesis ini membahas keunggulan dari penggunaan pendekatan Scientific Criminal Investigation khususnya penggunaan dan analisis DNA dalam proses pengungkapan tindakan kejahatan. Proses tersebut harus diawali dan didukung oleh tindakan pengamanan Tempat Kejadian Perkara (TKP) yang baik sehingga bukti yang ada tidak terkontaminasi oleh hal lain yang akan merusak TKP. Tujuan dari tesis ini adalah membuktikan bahwa penggunaan dan pemrosesan DNA didukung dengan penanganan pengamanan TKP yang baik sehingga bukti yang ada tetap terjaga dari kontaminasi, dapat mempermudah proses Scientific Criminal Investigation dalam pengungkapan tindakan kejahatan. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan DNA sebagai bagian dari Scientific Criminal Investigation mempercepat proses pengungkapan dibandingkan dengan bila menggunakan pendekatan konvensional. Hasil yang juga diperoleh adalah menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan Scientific Criminal Investigation saat ini baru dapat digunakan untuk kejahatan yang memiliki TKP yang bersinggungan dengan pelaku dan korban yang meninggalkan jejak fisik. Kedepannya Scientific Criminal Investigation dapat diterapkan pada kejahatan virtual dimana pelaku meninggalkan jejak yang bersifat maya.

This thesis discusses the advantages of using the Scientific Criminal Investigation approach particularly the use of DNA analysis in the process of crime revealing. The process should be initiated and supported by securing the Crime Scene in a good way so that the existing evidence is not contaminated by other things that would ruin the scene. The purpose of this thesis is to prove that the use and processing of DNA supported with good handling of the crime scene so well that the existing evidence is maintained from contamination, can help and accelerate the process of Scientific Criminal Investigation in the process of unsolving the crime.

The results obtained showed show that the use of DNA as part of the Scientific Criminal Investigation speed up the process of disclosure compared to when using conventional approaches. The results were also obtained indicate that the Criminal Investigation Scientific approach currently can only be used for a crime scene that had contact with the perpetrators and victims leave physical traces. Going forward Scientific Criminal Investigation can be applied to virtual crimes in which the perpetrator left a trail illusory."

Agar dapat mengetahui hubungan arsitektur dan kriminalitas dalam novel tersebut, penulisan skripsi ini diawali dengan penjabaran teori yang relevan dan mengulik sejarah sang penulis guna mengetahui latar belakang yang dapat berpengaruh pada imajinasi dan cara ia menggambarkan ruang, sehingga ruang serta elemen yang diceritakan dalam novel dapat dieksplorasi lebih jauh. Penggambaran ruang ditinjau dari sudut pandang sang penulis yang dituangkan dalam ceritanya, yaitu saat proses penyelidikan oleh Detektif Hercule Poirot dan rekan-rekannya.

Literature is one of the media to tell someone's emotions and imagination, including detective fiction. In a detective story, writers describe the space and scenario with their imagination of the space and its atmosphere. This thesis uses one of the well-known detective works, The ABC Murders novel by Agatha Christie. This thesis begins with an elaboration of relevant theories of domestic space and interiority to understand the relationship between architecture and crime in stories. The writing further explores the author's history to find out the background that can affect her imagination and how she describes space and elements in the novel. The depiction of space is viewed from the author's perspective, as outlined in her story, during the investigation process by Detective Hercule Poirot and his colleagues."
