Abstrak :
Kualitas memiliki peranan penting dalam dunia industri, perusahaan yang mampu bersaing adalah perusahaan yang dapat mempertahankan kualitasnya dan mampu memenuhi keinginan pelanggan. Metode peningkatan kualitas salah satunya adalah Six Sigma. Six Sigma memiliki fokus pada mengurangi tingkat cacat, dengan mencapai standar 3,4 cacat perjuta peluang, Six Sigma memiliki 5 fase, Define, Measure, Analyze, Improvement dan Control (DMAIC) . Pada penelitian ini, Six Sigma di terapkan di bagian Tube Mill, dengan tujuan meningkatkan kualitas dengan cara mengatasi dan mengurangi banyaknya cacat yang timbul. Hasil penelitian ini di dapat bahwa nilai sigma bagian tube mill adalah 4 dan 3,9 yang ekuivalen dengan nilai indeks kapabilitas 1.3 kemampuan proses produksi dalam batas spesifikasi yang diinginkan pelanggan dan memiliki kapabilitas yang cukup baik tetapi masih diperlukan perbaikan guna mencapai perusahaan kelas dunia. ......Quality is important thing in Industry, company which can compete and improve quality dan fill the customer requirement. Quality Improvement method such as Six Sigma have fokus to reduce defects, with standar 3,4 defect per million, Its have 5 fase, Define, Measure, Analyze, Improvement dan Control (DMAIC). In this case Six Sigma held on Tube Mill Section, and its purpose to reduce defect. The Sigma value are 4 and 3.9, which equivalen with value make an index to 1.3, the capability production in spesification and having good capability but its meaning still be needed repair utilize to reach company of world class.

Wall Regular (MWR) 80 produced by P11 Pura Nusapersada has problems of quality that is to the number of handicap of attainment assess Tensile MD. Tensile MD is one of quality characteristic which of vital importance, where this Tensile MD shown mount strength of fascination of paper. Since handicap of value of this Tensile MD difficult to overcome, hence need method which totally in quality repair. Six Sigma selected by since besides floodlighting all quality aspect also its approach is systematic. This research have a purpose to lessen handicap even escape of through with refers the activity program Six Sigma that is identified of characteristic supplier, input, process, output and client, subscriber. Continued with critical identified characteristic to quality, counting capacities of Sir Sigma and defect per million opportunity (DPMO). Ended by proposing solution of repair capability process. Sir Sigma aim to degrade handicapped storey; level by controlling general and also special variation of story; level until only 3,4 failure per one million opportunity. For that be needed by applying Define, Measure, Analyze, Improvement, Control (DMAIC). In the Phase Analyze found by a especial handicap cause is heat dryer less. At phase Measure got by value DPMO of equal to 444.440 yielding capability Sigma of equal to 1-2, while ideally is 5-6. At phase of improvement And Control relate to improvement assess capability of where proposed by a technical solution that is doing checked regularly to condition Boiler, made some air-hole around dryer and conduct at one blow the continual repair in PT.
