"Tesis ini membahas mengenai langkah - langkah yang digunakan dalam kampanye politik untuk membangun citra yang dilakukan oleh caleg yang berpindah partai, dengan demikian berubah orientasi politiknya khususnya di dalam kampanye politik di tingkat lokal, disamping itu diperlukan sebuah penggunaan strategi persuasi yang maksimal untuk dapat membuat khalayak kampanye percaya dan menjatuhkan pilihannya kepada caleg tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini menyarankan untuk dapat membangun citra tertentu dibutuhkan kombinasi antara media komunikasi. Semakin banyak media komunikasi yang digunakan besar kemungkinan citra yang diinginkan akan dibentuk dan menjangkau khalayak yang lebih luas. Disamping itu penyampaian pesan kampanye dalam waktu yang lama dan berkelanjutan melalui semua media komunikasi yang ada akan semakin membantu caleg untuk dapat membentuk citra yang diinginkan.
......This study focus on the use of building a new image in political campaign, especially for a candidate moving to another political party with means changing political orientation in context of local general election. This study also analysis strategy used by the candidate to persuade voter. This study suggested that the combination of media communication is important for that strategy. Multimedia of communication will affect the possibility of new image reaching wider public. Beside that, this study also suggested that the campaign message should be send by the various media conununication in long term and continue."
