"Perkembangan masyarakat yang semakin modern, membuat masyarakat semakin kritis dan secara tidak langsung menuntut keberadaan suatu media massa untuk lebih dapat memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat sebagai pengguna media. Radio, sebagai salah satu media komunikasi massa turut mengalami kondisi tersebut. Keunggulan radio yang portable, dan tidak memerlukan persyaratan khusus, , membuat radio memiliki khalayak pendengar yang luas, heterogen dan anonim, dan dengan berbagai ciri demografis, psikografis, gaya hidup, minat dan orientasi yang berbeda. Persaingan antar stasiun radio sebagai akibat perkembangan bisnis media massa di Indonesia menuntut stasiun radio mengembangkan siarannya melalui spesialisasi khalayak. Khalayak yang terspesialisasi ini dianggap memiliki ciri-ciri dan karakteristik yang tidak terlalu beragam. Sehingga pada akhirnya stasiun radio tersebut dapat menyusun dan menyajikan program sesuai dengan target khalayaknya. Radio Trijaya adalah salah satu stasiun radio swasta yang memiliki spesialisasi khalayak, yaitu profesional muda. mereka ini sekelompok khalayak profesional, berusia muda antara 25 - 40 tahun, berasal dari kelas sosial menengah atas dan bergaya hidup kosmopolitan dengan tingkat intelektualitas yang tinggi. Profesional muda dengan ciri dan karakteristiknya menuntut radio Trijaya untuk dapat menjalankan fungsinya sebagai media komunikasi massa, yaitu sebagai sarana kontrol sosial, pendidikan, penerangan, kebudayaan, persuasi, dan hiburan. Khalayak profesional muda ini menuntut stasiun radio yang lebih dari sekedar media hiburan biasa, melainkan teman dialog yang pas, dalam pengertian memberikan informasi-informasi aktual yang bermanfaat dan menghibur. Diharapkan tuntutan tersebut dapat dipenuhi dalam setiap program siaran yang ditampilkan. Penelitian ini berusaha untuk melihat pendapat responden tentang program acara di radio Trijaya. Penelitian ini dibatasi pada pendapat khalayak pendengar profesional muda dan non-profesional muda mengenai 7 program unggulan di akhir pekan. Metode penelitian yang dipakai adalah metode survei atas sekelompok sampel yang ditentukan secara sengaja, berdasarkan ciri-ciri dan karakteristik sebelumnya. Peneliti pendapatnya melalui Pertanyaan tersebut khalayak yang telah ditentukan menentukan pertanyaan meliputi 100 responden untuk ditanyai berstruktur pendapat dalam kuesioner. khalayak mengenai 4 unsur penting dalam suatu program acara, yaitu penyiar, materi acara, musik, dan cara penyajian. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya perbedaan pendapat responden profesional muda dan responden non profesional muda, yang sangat dipengaruhi oleh gaya hidup dan selera masing-masing khalayak. Meskipun demikian secara umum mereka memberikan pendapat yang positif. Dari 4 unsur pendukung program acara yang diukur dalam penelitian ini, unsur topik/materi acara mendapat penilaian positif. Topik/materi acara yang disajikan dinilai cukup sesuai dengan suasana akhir pekan, cukup menghibur dan cukup bermanfaat. Beberapa topik/materi acara yang merupakan program acara impor, menampilkan penyiar berkebangsaan asing, dan menggunakan bahasa asing sebagai bahasa pengantar dinilai kurang sesuai dengan suasana akhir pekan. Penyiar berkebangsaan asing dinilai belum dapat menyesuaikan diri dengan khalayak pendengar. Sedangkan penggunaan bahasa asing dinilai menimbulkan suasana hari-hari kerja dan kesan serius. Memang pada kenyataannya, bahasa asing digunakan dalam urusan bisnis/pekerjaan seharihari. Tiga unsur pendukung lainnya, gaya penyiar, musik , dan cacara penyajian belum mendapat penilaian positif. Ketiga unsur ini dinilai belum memenuhi kriteria yang diharapkan khalayak pendengar di akhir pekan, belum dapat menimbulkan suasana santai dan menghibur."

Bagian 1: Analisis Situasi
Minat membaca masyarakat Indonesia masih tergolong rendah karena minimnya sarana, informasi, serta koleksi buku. Di sisi lain, upaya mengapresiasi karya sastra Indonesia mulai berkembang baik. Namun, kebanyakan orang cenderung menganggap sastra itu berat. Padahal sastra banyak memberikan manfaat. Diperlukan adanya program khusus soal karya sastra Indonesia untuk segmen dewasa muda. Media yang digunakan adalah radio karena meski jangkauannya luas tetapi bisa membangun hubungan personal.
Hasil riset khalayak terhadap 55 pendengar radio menunjukkan mayoritas dari mereka merasa butuh dan tertarik dengan ide program bertema sastra. Hampir semua responden setuju jika program karya sastra Indonesia ini direalisasikan.
Bagian 2: Manfaat dan Tujuan Pengembangan Prototipe
Manfaat bagi khalayak: Meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya mengenal karya sastra Indonesia.
Manfaat bagi pengelola: Meningkatkan citra positif karena menghadirkan program yang mendidik masyarakat tentang sastra Indonesia.
Manfaat ekonomi: Pengelola mendapatkan pemasukan tambahan.
Tujuan sosial: Mengenalkan karya-karya sastrawan Indonesia.
Tujuan ekonomi: Menambah keuntungan lewat iklan dan sponsor.
Bagian 3: Prototipe yang Dikembangkan
Program bertema sastra ini mengusung format talkshow, dengan nama ?AKSARA? (Apresiasi Karya Sastra Indonesia). Program akan mengudara di KBR, setiap Sabtu, selama 1 jam, pukul 19.00-20.00 WIB. Program ini menghadirkan sastrawan, penyair, budayawan, atau kritikus sastra sebagai narasumber.
Bagian 4: Evaluasi
Media pre-test dilakukan dengan metode Focus Group Discussion (FGD) sebanyak 2 kali. Peserta FGD adalah 10 orang berusia 20-30 tahun. Pre-test dilakukan sebulan sebelum hari siaran program dan setelah prototipe program diproduksi.
Evaluasi akan dilaksanakan secara aktif dan pasif, setelah program disiarkan. Metodenya adalah kuesioner digital dan memantau respon pendengar via SMS, email, dan Twitter.

Anggaran pembuatan prototipe: Rp 143.000,-
Anggaran pembuatan program per edisi: Rp 1.265.000,-
Total biaya produksi program selama tiga bulan (13 edisi):

Indonesian literacy awareness is still low due to the lack of facilities, information, and book collections. On the one hand, the effort to appreciate Indonesian literature is growing immensely. On the other hand, many people tend to assume that literature is way too heavy, when actually it may give a very rewarding results to the ones study it. There is a growing need for a special program that discusses Indonesian literature targeting young adults segment. Radio became the media that the writer choose because it has the ability to reach a wide-scope of listeners, while still maintaining intimate-personal relationship with its designated listeners.
The result of audience?s research to the 55 radio listeners show that the majority of them need and excited to the idea of literature-themed programme. Most of them agree, incase this program of Indonesian literature to be created.
Part 2: The Advantages and the Purposes of Prototype Development
Benefits for the audience: Raising the public awareness on the importance of knowing Indonesian literature. Benefits for managers:Managing a positive image for the radio itself because it uses Indonesian literature as a tool to educate people. Economic benefits: Getting additional income. Social objectives: Introducing the works of Indonesian author. Economic objectives: Getting profits from advertisement and sponsorship.
Part 3: The Developed Prototype
This programme carries a talk show format, called "AKSARA" (Appreciation for Indonesian Literature). The program will air at KBR, every Saturday, for 1 hour, from 19:00 to 20:00 pm. This program presents a writer, a poet, a cultural observer, or literature critics as source persons.
Part 4: The Evaluation
A media pre-test will be conducted using Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method twice. The participants consist of 10 people aged 20-30 years. This pre-test will be done a month before the day of the broadcast program and after the program prototype is produced.
The evaluation will be carried out in both active and passive ways, right after the program is broadcast. A digital questionnaire will be used while monitoring the response of listeners via SMS, email, and Twitter simultaneously.

"ABSTRAK
Kini, anak-anak semakin jarang mendengar cerita rakyat asli Indonesia
didongengkan kepada mereka. Kondisi ini dipengaruhi oleh meningkatnya kesibukan
orang tua karena berbagai faktor, misalnya: pekerjaan. Kegiatan mendongeng
sebenarnya sangat bermanfaat bagi anak-anak. Perkembangan otak anak dapat
terbantu dengan adanya aktifitas mendongeng. Radio, sebagai media edukasi, dapat
membantu mengatasi masalah ini. Program chat show Mentari diproyeksikan untuk
mengisi kekurangan kesempatan anak mendengar cerita rakyat Indonesia. Program
chat show Mentari akan disiarkan oleh Radio Sekolah Alam Cikeas. Program ini
diharapkan akan membawa berbagai manfaat positif dari medongeng, serta
memberikan pengetahuan budaya kepada siswa Sekolah Alam Cikeas.

ABSTRACT
Nowadays, Indonesian children rarely hear about any folklore from their own
country. This condition happens because parents are getting busier. A lot of factors
make them busy, for example: job. Storytelling actually brings a lot of benefits to
children. Storytelling may improve children?s brain development. Radio, with its
function as an education medium, might be a solution for this problem. Mentari chat
show program is designed to make children listen to folklore. This program is
expected to bring the benefits of storytelling to the children. The program will be
broadcasted in Radio Sekolah Alam Cikeas."
