Pulse wave velocity (PWV) was recorded in different arterial segments in 25 male nonsmokers and compared with age and sex matched smokers before and after smoking. Blood pressure (BP), Heart rate (HR) and PWV were comparable between nonsmokers and smokers before smoking. Just after cigarette smoking there was rise in HR, BP and PWV in Aorta to Radial (Ao-Rad), and femoral to Dorsalis Pedis (Fem-Dp) arterial segments, but the PWV was reduced in Aorta to Femoral (Ao-Fem) arterial segment, indicating that both peripheral and central arterial segments show different response to smoking.

Concrete is a material that now becomes a communitys need for construction infrastructure facilities that are increasing along with the times. Concrete testing with non destructive test methods today is needed to evaluate concrete in a construction, so we can reduce the risk of loss due to testing with destructive methods. This research is experimental research by looking the value of shear wave velocity and longitudinal wave velocity with concrete flexural strength. The value of shear wave velocity were obtained from the test using the A-1040 MIRA and the value of longitudinal wave velocity were obtained from the test using UPV tool. Test were performed on concrete with quality K-175, K-250, and K-350. The results of this study indicate that the shear wave velocity and longitudinal wave velocity is directly proportional to the flexural strength of the concrete. "

The problem that occurs in characterizing carbonate reservoir is the heterogeneity from physical properties of rocks porosity. Rocks characterization becomes difficult because the estimation of shear wave which has been used tend to dominant pore types. There are three types of main pores in geophysics which are interparticle (reference pores), stiff pores, and microcracks. All that pore types generally can be found in reservoir carbonate thus caused the reservoir becomes complicated. In this thesis, we do the research on the type of existing pores in East Java carbonat reservoir using rock physics template to be able to analyze influence of the type of pores on the elastic properties rocks. Based on this, the number of the volume fraction of the various pore types can be estimated using log data of bulk porosity and P - wave velocity from well data. Those data will be used as input to perform pore - type inversion. The result of pore types inversion that has been carried out to identify types of pores and percentage at each point of observation of the target zone in form of a pore types log. Variations in the value of percentage and kind of pore types are shown in the result data. This data is proving that the type of pore heterogenity in East Java carbonat reservoir from sample to sample. Pore types log data can be used to predict shear wave velocity."

Indonesia is one with highly intensity of tectonic activity area. A parameters to predict ground motion becomes very important to be studied. One of the parameters used to predict ground motion is the shear-wave velocity (VS30). However, in Indonesia the availability of VS30 data is still insufficient due to the high cost and relatively longer implementation time to conduct VS30 tests. Calculation of the VS30 value with a certain approaches then becomes a solution that can be used to predict the VS30 value, one of these is the topographic approaches. The theory by Allen and Wald as one of the researchers who stated that slope value is directly proportional to the VS30 value is the basis used in this study which aims to find a model that is suitable for soils in the Indonesian region. Using 380 data from MASW test points collected from previous researchers and spread across 9 regions in Indonesia and slope and elevation values obtained from SRTM 30 1 arcsecond topographic maps then processed using ArcGIS software, slope- based modeling was obtained using the bivariate analysis method and evaluated based on the values of standard deviation, median and histogram diagram of the residual results of MASW VS30 comparison with the estimated results. The analysis showed that the best model was obtained by correlating the VS30 values with the slope according to the elevation per 100 meters without the values considered as slopes. Elevation was divided into per 100 meters to create a good model. The relationship between elevation and slope can be made in the equation log(Vs30) = 2.724 + 0.192 log(Lr) with a standar deviation result of 0,167 and is the lowest standard devition among other values."

"Next generation ground motion prediction models use shear-wave velocity over the top 30 m of subsoil (VS30) as an important assessment parameter of seismic ground surface motion. VS30 can be measured using invasive methods, such as boreholes, or non-invasive methods, such as multichannel analysis of surface waves (MASW). To evaluate this technique in a variety of near-surface conditions, MASW-derived shear-wave velocity profiles (s-wave velocity vs. depth) were statistically compared to direct borehole measurements from three locations of Merapi sediment found on the Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) campus site. A detailed study of the effect from the total number of recording channels of MASW, sampling intervals, source offset, and receiver spacing was conducted near the borehole test site. The soil was classified as a medium soil or SD. The MASW method, which is non-destructive and non-invasive in nature and relatively faster in assessment, provides more reliable shear-wave velocity profiles, i.e. from 0 to 30 meters below the ground surface."

"ABSTRAK
Background: periodontitis is a major cause of chronic infection in diabetic patients. Diabetic patients have four-fold risk of having cardiovascular disease. Chronic inflammation caused by periodontitis, a non-traditional cardiovascular risk factor is widely known to play a major role in atherogenesis. Among non-diabetics, an association has been found between periodontitis and arterial stiffness, but in diabetic patients the result is inconsistent. No study has investigated either the proportion of periodontitis or its correlation with arterial stiffness in type 2 diabetes population in Indonesia. Methods: this study was a cross-sectional study involving 97 patients with type 2 diabetics, who were recruited on Endocrinology Clinic from April to August 2017. Periodontitis was measured for pocket depth, clinical attachment loss and bleeding on probing by a periodontist. Carotid-femoral PWV (Pulse Wave Velocity) was measured using SphygmoCor Xcel with cuff-based tonometry technique. Results: periodontitis was found in 99% type 2 diabetic subjects and 78% of them had severe periodontitis. There was no significant correlation found between pocket depth, clinical attachment loss and cfPWV (r=0.024, p=0.407 and r=0.011, p=0.456); whereas there was a weak positive correlation between pocket depth and PWV (r=0.294, p=0.041) in well-controlled type 2 diabetics. Conclusion: most of type-2 diabetics had severe periodontitis; however, the correlation between periodontitis and arterial stiffness could not be concluded in this study."

Pada analisis multivariat, PTX3 berhubungan dengan kekakuan arteri (adjusted OR 5,18; IK 95% 1,07-24,91), demikian juga penyakit kardiovaskular (adjusted OR 3.67; IK 95% 1.40-10.55), kolesterol LDL (adjusted OR 3.10; IK 95% 1.04-9.24), dan dialysis vintage (adjusted OR 2.72; IK 95% 1.001-7.38).

Introduction: Arterial stiffness is a mortality predictor in hemodialysis patients. Hemodialysis induces inflammation, marked by intradialysis increment of inflammatory marker, Pentraxin 3 (PTX3). The mean arterial stiffness in twice-weekly hemodialysis patients in Indonesia is lower than studies done in thrice-weekly patients.
Objective: To determine factors associated with arterial stiffness in hemodialysis patients, focusing on the role of hemodialysis frequency and PTX3.
Methods: This study is a cross-sectional study conducted in Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, Fatmawati Hospital, and Medistra Hospital Jakarta in twice- and thrice-weekly hemodialysis patients. Arterial stiffness is measured by carotid-femoral pulse wave velocity.
Results: The study is conducted in 122 subjects, 82 of them undergo twice-weekly hemodialysis. There is no difference in arterial stiffness between twice- and thrice-weekly subjects. PTX3>2.3 ng/ml is associated with arterial stiffness (p= 0.021). In multivariate analysis, PTX3 is associated with arterial stiffness (adjusted OR 5.18; 95% CI 1.07-24.91), as well as cardiovascular disease (adjusted OR 3.67; 95% CI 1.40-10.55), LDL cholesterol (adjusted OR 3.10; 95% CI 1.04-9.24), and dialysis vintage (adjusted OR 2.72; 95%CI 1.001-7.38).
Conclusions: Predialysis PTX3 level above 2.3 ng/ml is associated with arterial stiffness. There is no difference in arterial stiffness between twice- and thrice-weekly hemodialysis patients.

Field is exploration field that located in the onshore of North West Java Basin, exploration activity in PS area was commenced in 1985 when TR 1 exploratory well was drilled to test PS North structure, TR 2 located in the same pad with TR 1 well, was drilled to the southeastern of TR 1 well to delineate the same structure, then TR A1 exploratory well was drilled in a new prospect in the southeastern part of the block. Pore pressure prediction below the surface can be done by using well log or seismic data. Pore pressure prediction in this research are done by using a methods developed by Eaton. The calculation result of pore pressure in this research are calibrated by well pressure data consist drilling mud pressure value over normal trend on the well data is a characteristic feature of overpressure condition.
This study uses several techniques to estimate pore pressure in three different formation that is Baturaja, Talang Akar and Mid Main Carbonate Part of Upper Cibulakan using sonic log data and resisivity data. Conditioning data process has been done beforehand. Normal Compaction Trend NCT are analyzed in each formations due to different lithology. From the post stack seismic data 2D inversion process will generate AI section and velocity section, it will be analyzed which one is more affect the pore pressure changes.
Starting from sensitivity analysis based on crossploting each parameter to pore pressure to. Then, the blind test will be applied to determine which parameters is better to distribute pore pressure, where AI parameters have a higher correlation than velocity parameters to distribute pore pressure. The result of analysis can be useful to the future drilling program in the study area.
