Abstrak :
Osteoartritis merupakan penyakit degeneratif sendi yang dapat mempengaruhi kualitas hidup terutama pada pasien lansia. Lansia yang mengalami osteoarthritis mengeluh nyeri pada lutut sehingga sulit digunakan untuk berjalan. Salah satu tindakan pembedahan untuk mengurangi nyeri pada osteoarthritis yaitu Total Knee Replacement TKR . Peran keperawatan sebelum dan sesudah pembedahan TKR mengutamakan pada promosi kesehatan. Perawat memberikan asuhan keperawatan dengan melakukan latihan ambulasi dini. Hasil latihan ini klien mampu melakukan ambulasi dari tempat tidur hingga jalan menggunakan walker pada hari kedua. Salah satu faktor yang mendukung klien mampu melakukan mobilisasi dengan cepat dikarenakan rasa nyeri yang sudah berkurang dan adanya dukungan keluarga

Osteoarthritis is a degenerative disease of joints that can affect the quality of life, especially in elderly patients. Elderly people with osteoarthritis complain of knee pain, making it difficult to walk. One of the surgical measures to reduce pain in osteoarthritis is Total Knee Replacement TKR . The role of nursing before and after TKR surgery is prioritized on health promotion. Nurses provide nursing care by doing early ambulation exercises. The results of this exercise the client is able to ambulate from bed to walkway using the walk on the second day. One factor that supports the client is able to mobilize quickly due to the pain that has been reduced and the support of the family.

Praktik residensi spesialis keperawatan medikal bedah dengan kekhususan pada system musculoskeletal dilaksanakan selama 1 tahun yang bertujuan untuk mengaplikasikan peran perawat sebagai pemberi asuhan, pendidik, peneliti, dan innovator. Peran sebagai pemberi asuhan dilakukan dengan mengelola sebanyak 30 pasien yang mengalami masalah system musculoskeletal dan 1 pasien kelolaan utama dengan kasus OA Genu Bilateral Grade 4 dengan deformitas Varus dan Hipertensi dengan pendekatan Need Theory Handerson. Osteoarthritis (OA) merupakan penyakit radang kronis pada area sendi yang bersifat degenerative dan progresif. Osteoarthritis dilaporkan sebagai salah satu penyebab utama disabilitas. Penatalaksanaan Osteoarthritis dapat beragam tergantung pada derajat OA, mulai dari pemberian therapi analgesic, therapy latihan dan aktifitas, atau tindakan operasi penggantian sendi atau Arthropasty, sehingga dibutuhkan peran perawat dalam menangani pasien dengan OA. Peran perawat sebagai peneliti dilakukan dengan penerapan posisi kaki “knee flexion” untuk menurunkan jumlah kehilangan darah dan memfasilitasi mobilisasi lebih awal pada pasien post operasi penggantian sendi lutut atau Total Knee Replacement. Sedangkan peran sebagai pendidik dan innovator dilakukan dengan memberikan edukasi berbasis Web untuk meningkatkan persepsi kesiapan pulang pada pasien Hip Arthroplasty yang dievaluasi menggunakan kuesioner Readiness for Hospital discharge Scale (RHDS). ......The practice of medical surgical nursing specialist residency with a specialization in the musculoskeletal system which has been carried out for 1 year aims to apply the role of nurses as caregivers, educators, researchers, and innovators. The role as a care provider is carried out by managing 30 patients who have problems with the musculoskeletal system and one main case of Ostearthritis Genu Bilateral Grade 4 with Varus deformity and Hypertension with the Need Theory Handerson approach. Osteoarthritis management can vary depending on the degree of OA, ranging from providing analgesic therapy, exercise and activity therapy, or joint replacement surgery or arthropasty, so the role of nurses is needed in treating patients with OA. The nurse's role as a researcher is carried out by applying the knee flexion to reduce the total of blood loss and facilitate early mobilization in postoperative Total Knee Replacement patients. Meanwhile, the role of educator and innovator is carried out by providing Web-based education to increase the perception of readiness for discharge in Hip Arthroplasty patients who were evaluated using the Readiness for Hospital discharge Scale (RHDS) questionnaire.
