"This study discussed about types and functions of interpersonal metadiscourse markers in newspaper article opinion. Interpersonal metadiscourse holds significant role in writing, especially in opinion article, since it reflects writer’s position towards both the content of text and reader. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative, and the data are taken from opinion articles in The Jakarta Post online, an Indonesian English newspaper. The results of the study suggest that the types of interpersonal metadiscourse markers, such as hedges, certainty markers, attributors, attitude markers, and commentaries are used in the opinion articles. . The results also reveal that the types of markers hold some specific functions in the texts. Hedges help the writers withhold their opinion, while certainty markers function to emphasize it. Attributors function to support the writers’ arguments and attitude markers express their attitudes towards the text and readers. Finally, commentaries help them to build relationship with their readers."

"World Trade Organization (WTO) adalah organisasi perdagangan yang hampir mencakup seluruh peraturan perdagangan. Namun, bagian penting dari setiap aspek perdagangan diatur dalam Regional Trade Agreement (RTA). RTA antara EFTA-Indonesia menimbulkan pertanyaan apakah perjanjian tersebut akan membuat perdagangan menjadi lebih liberal dan juga pertimbangan apa saja yang mendasarinya. Metode penelitian secara normatif dilakukan untuk mengulas hal tersebut. Serta didukung dengan sifat penelitian yang preskriptif dan juga analisis data secara deduktif. Hasil dari penelitian mengemukakan fakta bahwa perjanjian perdagangan tersebut akan membuat perdagangan menjadi lebih liberal bila merujuk pada konsesi bea masuk. Namun, cenderung akan membuat perdagangan menjadi lebih sulit dari sebelumnya. Berdasarkan fakta demikian, dapat diketahui bahwa dalam merundingkan perjanjian tersebut, Indonesia kurang mempertimbangan aspek ekonomi dari perjanjian bila diuji menurut neraca perdagangan menurut kode HS tertentu. Sehingga, pertimbangan politik merupakan alasan kuat yang utama mengapa Indonesia menegosiasikan RTA dengan EFTA. Preskripsi yang dapat diberikan terkait perjanjian tersebut adalah pertimbangan ekonomi yang lebih diutamakan merujuk kepada neraca perdagangan di mana Indonesia memiliki keunggulan secara komparatif terhadap negara calon mitra dalam RTA berikutnya.

The World Trade Organization (WTO) is an organization that almost covers all regulations.however, the important part of the trade is regulated in the Regional Trade Agremeent (RTA). The RTA between EFTA-Indonesia raises question of whether will the agreement establish trade more liberal and consider what are underlying it. The reseach method is normatively fulfilled to review the subject. The research is supported by prescriptive feature and also the data is deductively analyzed. The result of the research reveal the fact that the agreement would establish trade more liberal if it refers to tariff concessions. But, it tends to create trading more difficult than before. Based on the fact, it can be seen while negotiating the agreement, Indonesia didnot consider the economic aspects if examined according to the balance of payment to specific HS code. Thus, political considerations are the main reason why Indonesia negotiates RTAs to EFTA. The prescriptions that can be given in relations to the agreement is economic considerations should be priory preferred. Refers to the trade balance in which Indonesia has a comparative advantage over to potential partners in the next RTA."

"Tesis ini membahas tentang pengawasan yang dilakukan terhadap produk makanan halal dalam rangka mengimplementasikan ketentuan pasal 30 Undangundang Nomor 8 Tahun 1999 tentang Perlindungan Konsumen guna memberikan perlindungan bagi konsumen muslim di Indonesia. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian yuridis kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menyarankan bahwa diperlukan adanya pengetahuan, dukungan berupa moril dan materiel dari pihak pemerintah serta berusaha untuk senantiasa menjalin koordinasi dan komunikasi yang baik antar sesama pelaksana pengawasan.

"Citation Analysis of the Use of Online Journals Published by ISI Yogyakarta in the Final Project of ISI Yogyakarta Students. This study aims to determine the level of citation of the use of online journals published by ISI Yogyakarta in the final project of ISI Yogyakarta students (Graduates Period 1 of 2022). This research is a type of quantitative research and is descriptive. The method used in this research is to use the form of documentation. This research was conducted at the UPT ISI Yogyakarta Library by accessing the final work of students who have been included in the list of graduates for the period one of the year 2022 and have carried out independent uploads of their final position in the library repository via http://digilib.isi.ac.id. In this study, the authors determined that the research population was the last project of 382 graduate students for the period one of the year 2022 and will use purposive sampling, namely a sampling technique with specific considerations, namely those that have been uploaded independently in the ISI Yogyakarta library repository which at the time of data collection there were 260 who had already been uploaded. Do a self-upload. In this study, the documentation method is used, namely verifying the data of online journal articles published by ISI Yogyakarta, which students cited in compiling their final work (Graduates Period 1 the Year 2022). From the results of this study, it is known that 12.6% (33 people) of students use journals published by ISI Yogyakarta as a reference in compiling the final project of graduating students for period one, the year 2022, at ISI Yogyakarta. From this percentage, it can be concluded that the usability of journals published by ISI Yogyakarta is deficient because it is included in the 0-20% scale range. The results of this study can be used as a joint evaluation material between journal managers, lecturers, and librarians to promote further the use of online journals published at ISI Yogyakarta to be a reference in compiling students' final work at ISI Yogyakarta. This is important so that science and research results in the journal will continue to develop. Besides that, the value and usefulness of the journal will be increasingly felt to support the preparation of the final project at ISI Yogyakarta."

"Skripsi ini meneliti tentang jenis-jenis metafora yang biasa digunakan untuk artikelmusik majalah Rolling Stone Jerman edisi 227 bulan September 2013. Tujuanpenelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan jenis metafora ditinjau dari segi semantikdan menunjukkan fungsi pembentukan metafora yang digunakan dalam artikeltersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatifdengan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis metafora yangsering digunakan dalam artikel musik majalah Rolling Stone Jerman adalah metaforakreatif dan terdapat banyak personifikasi. Fungsi metafora yang terlihat jelas adalahuntuk menggambarkan berbagai situasi dan menjelaskan suatu hal.

This Thesis analyzes the varieties of metaphor, which are frequently used in the oneof the music article in the Rolling Stone magazine Germany, edition of 227 onSeptember 2013. The aim of this research is to describe the varieties of metaphor inthe chosen music article observed from the semantic aspects and to show what thosemetaphors function as. This is a library-based research and is qualitative. The resultof this research shows that creative metaphor and personification are frequently usedin the music article in the Rolling Stone magazine Germany. The functions ofmetaphor are obviously to explain and describe something and situations."
