"ABSTRAK
Artikel ini menelaah strategi penerjemahan yang digunakan dalam menerjemahkan profanity dalam novel The Catcher in the Rye beserta efeknya pada penokohan si narator. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat efek dari strategi penerjemahan tertentu terhadap unsur penokohan. Penelitian semacam ini akan menghasilkan keuntungan akademis dan praktis. Penelitian ini akan berfokus pada Bab 25, bab kedua dari terakhir di mana klimaks cerita terjadi. Untuk meneliti jumlah strategi yang dipakai, artikel ini menggunakan statistic, sedangkan metode kualitatif-deskriptif digunakan untuk meneliti efek strategi tersebut terhadap penokohan si narator. Strategi tersebut diklasifikasin berdasarkan sistem Baker 1992 , sedangkan dalam menilai unsur penokohan, argument Nida mengenai pentingnya penokohan akan menjadi dasar penilaian. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa penerjemah novel tersebut utamanya menggunakan strategi softening dan omission. Hal ini berdampak pada penokohan si narator yang jauh berbeda dari versi aslinya, di mana ia menjadi lebih santun dan taat pada norma sosial. Namun, dikarenakan cakupan penelitian yang terbatas, penelitian lebih lanjut akan diperlukan untuk dapat menarik kesimpulan yang lebih dalam.

ABSTRACT
This paper investigates the translation strategies used in translating profanity in the novel The Catcher in the Rye and their effects on the narrator rsquo;s characterisation. The purpose is to see the effects that certain translation strategies have on characterisation, an important literary element. Such a study will provide academic and practical benefits. This paper will focus on Chapter 25, the penultimate chapter where the climax takes place. This paper uses statistics to examine the number of translation strategies used and the qualitative-descriptive method to examine the effects on the narrator rsquo;s characterisation. The strategies will be classified based on Baker rsquo;s 1992 proposed strategies, while Nida rsquo;s 2000 argument regarding the importance of characterisation will be the framework for evaluating the characterisation. This paper finds that the Indonesian translator overwhelmingly used the strategies of softening and omission. This results in a significantly different characterisation of the narrator, in which he becomes less irreverent and more conscious of social norms. However, as the scope of this study is limited, a further study of the whole novel will be necessary."

"Salah satu terapi untuk mengatasi tinggi level kolesterol dengan menghambat enzim HMG-KoA reduktase pada biosintesis kolesterol. Penelitian sebelumnya pada hewan uji, ekstrak etanol Garcinia xanthochymus dapat menghambat peningkatan kolesterol.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji aktivitas penghambatan enzim HMG-KoA reduktase pada ekstrak air Garcinia xanthochymus, penetapan kadar flavonoid dan fenol total, pembuatan sediaan teh herbal dari simplisia yang sudah dikarakterisasi dan uji hedonis. Pengujian aktivitas penghambatan HMG-KoA reduktase secara enzimatis, penetapan kadar flavonoid total secara kolorimetri AlCl3 dan penetapan kadar fenol total dengan Folin-Ciocalteu.
Hasil pengujian penghambatan enzim HMG-KoA reduktase tertinngi adalah ekstrak air 5 menit yaitu 46,45 4.1140. Hasil dari susut pengeringan memenuhi persyaratan < 10 sedangkan hasil kadar sari larut air 42,77 0,0255 , kadar sari larut etanol 45,52 0,0036, kadar abu total 10,77 0,0021, dan kadar abu tidak larut asam 4,42 0,002. Hasil penetapan kadar flavonoid total tertinggi adalah ekstrak 5 menit yaitu 24,213 mgQE/gr ekstrak.
Hasil penetapan kadar fenol total tertinggi adalah ekstrak 15 menit yaitu 12,171 mgGAE/gr ekstrak. Hasil uji hedonis pada parameter warna,aroma, dan rasa, adanya perbedaan signifikan pada uji kesukaan rasa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitain ini ekstrak air memiliki aktivitas penghambatan yang kecil terhadap enzim HMG-KoA reduktase.

One of the therapies that can be used to treat high cholesterol levels is by inhibiting the enzyme HMG CoA reductase inhibitors on biosynthesis cholesterol. Previous research conducted with animal test, Garcinia xanthochymus can inhibit the increase in cholesterol.
This research aims to test the inhibitory activity of the enzyme HMG Coa reductase on water extract of Garcinia xanthochymus, the determination of the levels of flavonoids and phenols, total manufacture of preparations of the herb tea simplisia already characterized and test the hedonist. Inhibitory activity of testing of HMG Coa reductase in enzimatis, the determination of the levels of total flavonoids in kolorimetri of AlCl3 and the determination of the levels of total phenols by Folin Ciocalteu.
Results of testing the inhibition of the enzyme HMG CoA reductase inhibitors showed that the water extract of 5 minutes has the highest percent inhibition activity is 46.45 4.1140, Results of drying shrinkage meets the requirements of drying shrinkage meets the requirements of <10% while the yield levels ..."

"Mixed matrix membranes (MMMs) adalah material komposit yang terbuat dari polimer yang terisi dengan material pengisi. MMM digunakan secara luas dalam proses pemisahan gas, seperti memisahkan CO2 dari N2. Namun, MMM yang dimuat dengan padatan berpori diketahui memiliki trade-off permeabilitas-selektivitas, yang berarti, peningkatan permeabilitas gas pada membran menyebabkan selektivitas gas yang lebih rendah. Para peneliti menemukan cara untuk meningkatkan kinerja MMM. Tujuan dari proyek ini adalah untuk menyelidiki potensi kelebihan dari MMM berbasis poly(vinyl) alcohol (PVA) dan polymer of intrinsic microporosity (PIM-1) yang dimuat dengan cairan berpori dibandingkan dengan MMM yang dimuat padatan berpori dan membran murni. Aglomerasi MMM, permeabilitas CO2, dan selektivitas CO2/N2 diamati melalui uji karakterisasi menggunakan XRD, FTIR, dan TGA. Uji selektivitas dan permeabilitas dilakukan menggunakan welded gas rig. Lima bahan padat berpori (UiO-66-OH, phloroglucinol-based porous organic framework (POF), SNW-1, Aluminium Fumarate (AlFum) dan hollow silica (HS)) diimplementasikan untuk menjadi pengisi membran. Melalui uji karakterisasi (XRD, FTIR, TGA, SEM, DSC, BET, dan Pycnometer) dan pertimbangan model prediksi IAST, padatan berpori yang paling cocok dicairkan dan dimuat ke dalam membran. Hasillnya, MMM cair berpori mengalami pengurangan signifikan dalam aglomerasi, peningkatan permeabilitas CO2 dan peningkatan selektivitas CO2/N2 dibandingkan dengan membran murni dan MMM padat berpori. Temuan ini menegaskan keuntungan dari MMM cair berpori dalam pemisahan gas.

Mixed matrix membranes (MMMs) are composite materials made by embedding polymer with filler substances, and they are commonly used in gas separation processes, such as CO2 removal from N2. However, MMMs that contain porous solids typically exhibit a trade-off between permeability and selectivity, where increasing gas permeability reduces the membrane’s ability to selectively separate gases. To enhance the performance of MMMs, researchers are exploring different approaches. This project aims to examine the benefits of MMMs made from poly(vinyl) alcohol (PVA) and polymer of intrinsic microporosity (PIM-1), which are loaded with porous liquids, compared to MMMs loaded with porous solids and neat membranes. The study evaluates membrane agglomeration, CO2 permeability, and CO2/N2 selectivity through characterization methods like XRD, FTIR, and TGA, along with performance testing using a welded gas rig. The fillers used in the membranes include five porous solid materials: UiO-66-OH, a phloroglucinol-based porous organic framework (POF), SNW-1, Aluminium Fumarate (AlFum), and hollow silica (HS). By conducting various tests (XRD, FTIR, TGA, SEM, DSC, BET, and pycnometer) and considering the IAST prediction model, the most suitable porous solid is then liquefied and incorporated into the membrane. The results show that the use of porous liquids in MMMs reduces agglomeration and significantly improves CO2 permeability and CO2/N2 selectivity compared to MMMs containing porous solids and neat membranes. These findings highlight the potential advantages of porous liquid MMMs for gas separation applications."
