Abstrak :
The usage of phronesis as a term in the field of medicine aims at describing doctors as men of virtue. It is an obligation that they should put it into practice in their profession. In this article, I will present the idea standing behind the study and practice of medicine, that is, doctors or the candidates should have a holistic knowledge. One of those elements is that the field of medicine has a relation with other disciplines that work on the same material object, namely human beings. Other is that human beings are not machines -- which are unorganic, mindless and inactive. Avoiding mistreating course, assist doctors to be the men of virtue.

Abstrak :
Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dan desain eksperimental yang bertujuan untuk menguji peran dehumanisasi terhadap pengaruh justifikasi moral terhadap dukungan kebijakan pendekatan keras. Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian antar subjek posttest saja. DV penelitian ini merupakan dukungan untuk pendekatan keamanan (hard approach). IV (pembenaran moral) dimanipulasi menggunakan indusi teks. Kelompok eksperimen diberikan teks yang berisi pembenaran moral, sedangkan kelompok kontrol akan diberikan teks netral yaitu berita tentang sepak bola. Moderator dalam penelitian ini adalah dehumanisasi. Sebanyak 91 peserta direkrut melalui media sosial Line. Pembagian kelompok dalam eksperimen kali ini gagal membuktikan adanya pengaruh antara justifikasi moral dan dukungan terhadap pendekatan keamanan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dehumanisasi tidak berinteraksi dengan justifikasi moral untuk mendukung pendekatan keamanan. ...... This research is a type of quantitative research and experimental design which aims to examine the role of dehumanization on the effect of moral justification on hard-approach policy support. The design of this study was a posttest inter-subject study only. The DV of this research is a support for the security approach (hard approach). IV (moral justification) is manipulated using text indusion. The experimental group was given a text containing moral justification, while the control group was given a neutral text, namely news about football. The moderator in this research is dehumanization. A total of 91 participants were recruited through the social media Line. The division of groups in this experiment failed to prove the existence of an influence between moral justification and support for the security approach. The results showed that dehumanization did not interact with moral justification to support a security approach.

Abstrak :
Meluasnya Kpop terjadi karena adanya sistem yang dijalankan oleh berbagai pihak, seperti perusahaan agensi, pemerintah Korea, idol Kpop, media digital platform, penggemar internasional, hingga berbagai perusahaan produk. Tulisan ini mengurai hubungan antara tiga aktor dalam industri Kpop, yaitu perusahaan agensi, idol Kpop, dan penggemar di Indonesia sebagai penggemar internasional dalam sebuah mode produksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode studi pustaka melalui mengumpulkan berbagai literatur yang bersinggungan dengan tema serupa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis bentuk eksploitasi yang dilakukan terhadap idol Kpop. Eksploitasi yang dilakukan terhadap idol Kpop membuat adanya keterasingan dalam diri mereka. Penelitian ini juga menganalisis bagaimana free labor dilakukan oleh penggemar di Indonesia dengan menggunakan media digital yang turut melanggengkan industri Kpop. Temuan dalam penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa industri Kpop terdapat hubungan yang ditata dalam sebuah keintiman sehingga bentuk eksploitasi yang dilakukan tersamarkan. ......The spread of Kpop is due to a system that is run by various parties, such as agency companies, the Korean government, Kpop idols, digital media, international fans, and various product companies. This paper describes the relationship between three actors in Kpop industry, that is agency companies, Kpop idols, and Indonesian fans as international fans in a production mode. This research used literature review through the collection of various literatures that intersect with similar themes. The purpose of this study is to analyze the forms of exploitation committed against Kpop idols. The exploitation of Kpop idols creates alienation within them. This study also analyzes how free labor is carried out by fans in Indonesia by using a digital platform that helps perpetuate the Kpop industry. The results of this study indicate that the Kpop industry has a relationship that is arranged in an intimacy so that the forms of exploitation are disguised.

Makalah ini membahas hubungan kekuasaan dan dehumanisasi antara seorang sersan instruktur latihan dan seorang anggota baru dalam militer sebagaimana dijelaskan dalam lagu Psycho oleh Muse pada tahun 2015. Makalah ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan hubungan kekuasaan dari kedua karakter dan membongkar konsep dehumanisasi dalam lagu tersebut, lalu menghubungkannya kepada kondisi dunia saat ini. Penelitian ini juga berdasa kepada kondisi terkini dimana banyak tentara kehilangan empati mereka setelah banyak melewati latihan dan peperangan. Maka dari itu, tujuan dari analisis ini adalah untuk menggali lebih banyak pemahaman mengenai bagaimana pelatihan dan peperangan mempengaruhi tentara. Karena itu, penelitian ini menerapkan teori analisis wacana kritis Van Dijk untuk memaparkan arti dari hubungan kekuasaan dan dehumanisasi yang terkandung di lirik dan video lagu tersebut. Analisis wacana menunjukkan bahwa hubungan kekuasaan antara sersan instruktur latihan dan anggota baru adalah metafora dari keserakahan manusia akan kekuatan/kekuasaan atas semua mahluk dengan cara apapun yang dibutuhkan, termasuk mengubah seseorang menjadi pembunuh gila. Lagu ini mengilustrasikan dehumanisasi dalam militer dimana urgensi untuk melatih anggota baru menjadi mesin pembunuh menjadi lebih penting daripada memikirkan tentang kemanusiaan dan psikologi mereka. Makalah ini dapat mengurai propaganda dibalik pelatihan militer sebagaimana digambarkan di lagu. Maka dari itu, hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai referensi untuk masyarakat sebagai pertimbangan untuk memeriksa sistem pelatihan militer, terutama di Amerika Serikat. .......This paper deals with the power relations and dehumanization between a drill sergeant and a recruit in the military as described in the hit song Psycho by Muse in 2015. This paper aims to explain the power relations of the two characters. Then, uncover the concept of dehumanization in the song, relating it to the current condition of the world. This research is also based on the current condition where many soldiers lost their empathy after being exposed to training and war. Therefore, the purpose of this analysis is to gain more understanding regarding how training and war affects soldier. Accordingly, this study uses Van Dijk`s critical discourse analysis on the song in order to explain the meanings of power relation and dehumanization contained in the lyric and the video. The analysis on the discourse shows that the power relations between the drill sergeant and the recruit is a metaphor to human`s greed to gain more power over all beings by any means necessary, including turning someone into a psychotic killer. This song illustrates the dehumanization in the military where the urgency to train recruits until they become killing machines are far more important than concerning about their humanity and psychology. This paper could unravel the propaganda behind military training as depicted in the song. Therefore, the result could be used as reference for the society as consideration to inspect the military training system, especially in the U.S.

Abstrak :
Novel Kereta Semar Lembu menampilkan cerminan realitas berupa peristiwa sejarah yang terjadi di Pulau Jawa pada era kolonialisme Belanda hingga Orde Baru. Realitas ini digambarkan melalui sudut pandang tokoh imajiner, yaitu Semar Lembu, yang diposisikan sebagai penyintas dari sejumlah peristiwa sejarah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi bagaimana peristiwa sejarah digambarkan dalam novel Kereta Semar Lembu, serta persoalan yang hendak disuarakan dengan menampilkan realitas ini melalui sudut pandang tokoh Semar Lembu sebagai penyintas. Untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian, dilakukan telaah terhadap novel Kereta Semar Lembu menggunakan pendekatan struktural, sosiologi karya sastra, serta metode deskriptif interpretatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa novel Kereta Semar Lembu menyoroti lima peristiwa besar yang terjadi pada masa kolonialisme Belanda hingga Orde Baru, yaitu tanam paksa, kerja paksa, revolusi kemerdekaan, pergerakan PKI dan tragedi 1965, serta pelanggaran HAM pada masa Orde Baru, khususnya penembakan misterius. Dengan menggambarkan kelima peristiwa ini melalui sudut pandang Semar Lembu sebagai penyintas, novel ini hendak menyuarakan problem dehumanisasi yang terjadi secara berkelanjutan, sekaligus memberikan kritik terhadap pihak-pihak tertentu dalam peristiwa sejarah. ......The Kereta Semar Lembu novel reflects reality in the form of historical events that occurred on Java Island during the Dutch colonialism to the New Order period. This reality is described through the lens of an imaginary character, Semar Lembu, who plays the role of a survivor of several historical events. This study seeks to identify how history is portrayed in Kereta Semar Lembu, as well as the issues that are intended to be voiced by presenting this reality through the lens of Semar Lembu. This study uses structural and sociology of literature approaches and descriptive-interpretive methods. The results of this study show that Kereta Semar Lembu displays five major events that occurred during the Dutch colonialism to the New Order period, namely forced planting (tanam paksa), forced labor (romusa), the revolution of independence, the PKI movement and the 1965 tragedy, and human rights violations during the New Order era, especially mysterious shootings. By depicting these five events through the lens of Semar Lembu, this novel intends to voice the dehumanization issue that occurs continuously while simultaneously providing criticism of certain parties at historical events.
