Abstrak :
Students' knowledge on system for open and distance learning (ODL) is important since the information will be usefull in improving students' services. This article discusses students' understanding on ODL system and factors that affect it. The sample were 380 students from UPBJJ-UT Banda Aceh. Data collection was carried out from May to October 2011. Correlation test of Rank Spearman was used to analyze the data. The result showed that (1) students' knowledge on distance learning system was low (2) factors which influences students knowledge on ODL system were ability in using internet, study group and information access.

Abstrak :
Perkembangan penggunaan internet dimanfaatkan dalam dunia pendidikan melalui metode Distance learning. Sebagai Salah satu bagian dari proses pendidikan. pelaksanaan ujian dalam Distance Learning dirasa memerlukan perhatian. Tanpa adanya evaluasi maka tidak dapat diketahui keberhasilan proses pembelajaran. ADES (Agent-based Distance Educational System) sebagai Salah satu sistem yang menggunakan metode Dfsmnce Learning memiliki algoritrna yang cukup baik untukmenetukan tingkat pemahaman pelajar terhadap materi yang diajarkan serta untuk memilih soal ujian. Soal ujian yang dipilih dipengaruhi oleh hasil ujian sebelumnya. Algoritma sistem ini dapat digunakan untuk membantu proses evaluasi karena pengajar dapat mengetahui tingkat pemahaman masing-masing pelajar. Modui Ujian dibuat menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan HTML serta database MySQL umuk penyimpanan datanya. Dalam aplikasinya algoritma ADES yang digunakan disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan modul ujian. Dengan penggunaan algoritma ADES pada modul ujian penentuan lingkat pemahaman pelajar menjadi Iebih akurat dibandingkan melalui ujian biasa. Hal ini disebabkan karena setiap pelajar akan memperoleh soal ujian yang berbeda tingkat kesukarannya, tergantung dari hasil ujian sebelumnya. Dengan demikian setiap pelajar akan memperoleh nilai yang sesuai dengan ringkat pemahamannya pada pelajaran tersebut.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah kecerdasan emosi dapat memprediksi teacher well-being dalam konteks pembelajaran jarak jauh akibat pandemi Covid-19 di Indonesia. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada guru sekolah dasar dan sekolah menengah di Indonesia (N = 494; M = 39,9 tahun). Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Schutte Emotional Intelligence Scale oleh Schutte et al. (1998) dan Teacher Subjective Well-Being Questionnaire oleh Renshaw et al. (2015). Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan emosi secara signifikan dapat memprediksi teacher well-being F(1,492) = 108,469, p < 0,05. Kecerdasan emosi ditemukan memiliki effect size kecil terhadap teacher well-being. Hasil penelitian memiliki implikasi bahwa terdapat faktor lain yang berperan dalam teacher well-being. Hal ini dapat menjadi pertimbangan penelitian selanjutnya mengenai teacher well-being ......This study aims to investigate the role of emotional intelligence in predicting teacher well-being in the context of online learning due to the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. This research was conducted on elementary and secondary school teachers in Indonesia (N = 494; M = 39.9 years). The measuring instrument used is the Schutte Emotional Intelligence Scale from Schutte et al. (1998) and the Teacher Subjective Well-Being Questionnaire from Renshaw et al. (2015). Simple regression technique was used to analyze the data. The result of the analysis shows that emotional intelligence significantly predicts and has a small effect on teacher well-being F(1,492) = 108,469, p < 0,05. The results of the study have practical implications that can be considered for schools to carry out emotional intelligence development training for teachers. Furthermore, it is implied that other factors also play a role in teacher well-being and should be taken into consideration by future research on this topic

Abstrak :
One of the problems faced by distance learning instution is the of lack interaction between students and lectures. To solve this problems, Universitas Terbuka (UT) where media internet condeneted a facility of community forum service in UT website. This research aim is to describe UT student interaction pattern in the community forum, during registration 2006. 2 until 2007.1. This research used qualitative description by applying content analysis approach. Result of the research shows that there were 1.201 email, with 1.293 problems, which submitted by 479 students. The most intensive problems were interaction personal (25,90%), general issues (14,24%), score examination (11,91%) tutorial (10,99%) module (6,58%), learning material substance (4,08%) , the learning strategies (4,08%) TAP/UKT (4,00%) , TM.LM (3,41%) graduation (2,33%), curriculum (1,58%), accreditation (1,58%) , scholarship (0,92%), school fee (0,58%), credit switching (0,42%) and diploma (0,17%) beside that it shows that emerging interaction pattern leads to associative pattern.

This paper adresses the Universitas Terbuka (UT) students' perception on quality assurance (QA) system of distance education, using an online survey method involving 306 students. The UT students' perception on QA systm is analyzed in terms of profile of respondents, perception on important values of QA, students of satisfaction on the uquality of distance education programs and courses. The profile of the respondents shows that most of them are within the age of 25 to 30 years old. They study at UT mostly by means of reading printed materials and interactive online studies at home and at no particular place in the evenings. Students' difficulties in distance related to conflicts with work responsibilities, lack of time and self motivation. Students said that they needed both academic and social psychological support. Students' perception on important values on QA was expressed in terms of the availability and clear for QA system in the institution. In terms of institutional credibility, students stated thar external accreditation and qualified staff are key factors to institutional quality. In terms of learning process, students valued highly the importance of well structured courses and interactivity in the learning process. Students also stated that media technology supports, faculty support, and fair assessment are important in the quality of teaching learning at a distance. In terms of learning experience, they perceived that protection student rights, course content, and technology infrastructure were well facilitated by the institution.

Abstrak :
Latar Belakang: Mahasiswa kedokteran gigi sudah selayaknya memiliki pengetahuan dan pemahaman yang mumpuni terkait Ilmu Kedokteran Gigi Anak, sehingga ketika menjadi dokter gigi dapat menangani permasalahan gigi dan mulut anak secara komprehensif. Kegiatan belajar mengajar di FKG UI dialihkan menjadi pembelajaran jarak jauh ketika pandemi COVID-19. Perubahan metode pembelajaran yang terjadi mungkin mempengaruhi kemampuan mahasiswa untuk memahami materi pembelajaran serta keterampilan klinis akibat tidak adanya interaksi langsung. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat pemahaman dan tingkat keterampilan mahasiswa preklinik FKG UI yang menerima materi pembelajaran Ilmu Kedokteran Gigi Anak dengan pembelajaran jarak jauh. Metode: Penelitian deskriptif potong lintang pada 92 mahasiswa preklinik FKG UI angkatan 2019 dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya (Cronbach’s alpha > 0,9). Data dianalisis menggunakan aplikasi SPSS versi 25. Hasil: Tingkat pemahaman mahasiswa preklinik FKG UI mengenai teori IKGA tergolong dalam kategori paham (78,3% responden), dimana pemahaman dengan rata-rata tertinggi adalah terkait topik faktor risiko Early Childhood Caries (ECC) (X=4,00) dan yang terendah adalah terkait topik prosedur restorasi Celluloid Strip Crowns (X=3,13). Tingkat keterampilan mahasiswa preklinik FKG UI mengenai skills lab IKGA tergolong dalam kategori terampil (60,9% responden) dengan rata-rata tertinggi adalah terkait dengan topik perawatan pit and fissure sealant pada pasien anak (X=4,00) dan yang terendah adalah terkait dengan topik terapi pulpa pada pasien anak, yaitu Direct Pulp Therapy (X=2,80). Kesimpulan: Tingkat pemahaman dan keterampilan responden terkait materi Ilmu Kedokteran Gigi Anak yang diberikan dengan pembelajaran jarak jauh termasuk dalam kategori paham dan terampil. ......Background: Dental students should have qualified knowledge and understanding related to Pediatric Dentistry so that when they become a dentist, they can deal with children's dental and oral problems comprehensively. Teaching and learning activities at FKG UI were transferred to distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Changes in learning methods that occur may affect students' ability to understand the learning material as well as clinical skills due to the absence of direct interaction. Objective: To identify the level of understanding and skill level of FKG UI preclinical students who receive Pediatric Dentistry learning materials with distance learning. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 92 preclinical dental students of the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Indonesia, class of 2019, using a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability (Cronbach's alpha > 0.9). Data were analyzed using SPSS version 25. Result: The level of understanding of preclinical students of FKG UI regarding Pediatric Dentistry theory was classified in the category of understanding (78.3% of respondents), where the highest average understanding was related to the topic of risk factors for Early Childhood Caries (ECC) (X=4.00) and the lowest was related to the topic of Celluloid Strip Crowns restoration procedures (X=3.13). The skill level of FKG UI preclinical students regarding IKGA lab skills was classified in the skilled category (60.9% of respondents) with the highest average related to the topic of pit and fissure sealant treatment in pediatric patients (X=4.00) and the lowest related to the topic of pulp therapy in pediatric patients, namely Direct Pulp Therapy (X=2.80). Conclusion: The level of understanding and skills of respondents related to Pediatric Dentistry materials provided by distance learning are included in the category of understanding and skilled.
