"Fish is a popular culinary dish in Indonesian culture and a major economic resource on which
many people depend their livelihood. However, with severe pollution in Indonesian water,
including uncontrolled mercury pollution which persists in the food chain and eventually gets
into humans’ body as the top predator, fish safety is particularly worrying – especially taking
into account the frequency of average Indonesians’ consumption of fish. In various jurisdictions,
the management tool used by lawmakers and regulators with regard to this issue is information
disclosure, or known as “fish advisory warning,” to cover the failure of command and control.
This paper analyses whether Indonesian laws have provided the mandate or authority to issue
fish advisory warning under Fishery Law, Food Law, Environmental Protection and Management
Law, and Public Information Disclosure Law. It concluded that Indonesian law implies a statutory
mandate for the government to issue fish advisory warning, at least in a situation involving the
threat to general life – not specifically through the Fishery Law, Food Law, or EPML, but through
PIDL’s immediate information mandate.
teratas, keamanan pangan ikan cukup mencemaskan – terlebih, mempertimbangkan frekuensi

This article is going to examine environmental justice in Pongkor gold mining area using PETI study. PETI is considered disadvantageous for the environment. PETI is also considered as a polemic for both the local communities and the miners, as they have lack of knowledge in environmentally friendly mining techniques. The analysis shows that PETI Pongkor mine as action (1) may violate existing environmental regulations; (2) has identified as environmentally harmful; and (3) the act is done by human, so loss environmental justice. Because basically, environmental justice ensure that environment is free from degradation, have the equality of rights that every individual has to utilize th environment, and give protection from various threats."

Micro trends are clothing trends that get around very fast. This encourages fast fashion retailers to mass-produce clothes quickly so they can reach consumers as soon as possible. Using existing statistical research method and content analysis, the author describes several countries that play an active role in fast fashion and how each of them finds a number of environmental damages that occur due to the production process. In addition, the author also identifies how the role of social media as a place to exchange information about clothing trends also causes a lot of clothes to be wasted. Using the perspective of environmental justice and ecological justice in green criminology, the results of the analysis show how existing production and consumption patterns cause damage to the environment. These damages will eventually have an impact on human well-being, especially health."

"In the popular imagination, Caribbean islands represent tropical paradise. This image underlies the efforts of many environmentalists to protect Caribbean coral reefs, mangroves, and rainforests. Much less attention is given to environmental conditions in urban areas, where the islands poorer citizens suffer from exposure to garbage, untreated sewage, and air pollution. Concrete Jungles explores why these issues tend to be ignored, demonstrating how mainstream environmentalism reflects and reproduces class and race inequalities. Based on over a decade of research in Kingston, Jamaica, and Willemstad, Curaçao, the book contrasts the uptown environmentalism of largely middle-class professionals with the downtown environmentalism of inner-city residents. It combines an original and sophisticated theoretical discussion of the politics of difference with rich ethnographic detail, including vivid depictions of Caribbean ghettos and elite enclaves. The book presents a novel approach to environmental injustice, combining a political economy perspective with attention to the cultural politics that naturalize socio-ecological inequalities. One of the first works to extend environmental anthropological theory to explicitly include the study of cities, the book shows how divergent forms of environmentalism articulate class, race, and urban space. Forms of environmentalism that implicitly or explicitly understand cities as opposed to nature, and poor people as a threat to environmental purity, contribute to urban naturalisms that naturalize social hierarchies and the unequal distribution of environmental problems.

This paper discusses about PLTU X as a problem of environmental crime. Starting from Indonesia which was ranked fourth as a producer of carbon emissions in the world in 2015, the world began to shift its focus to Indonesia to ratify the Paris Agreement to reduce emissions from 29% to 41% by 2030. With these problems, environmental issues will be discussed in particular related to climate change and global warming caused by the disposal of coal-fired power plants activities and the violations they have committed. The discussion will focus on PLTU X which causes problems because it has violated the procedures for issuing environmental permits, the AMDAL document is substantially flawed and exacerbates pollution in the surrounding area. PLTU X is seen as a form of environmental crimes and violates environmental justice. These concepts will be analyzed using the perspective of Green criminology in order to show that the coal-fired power plant supported by the government produces environmental harm that affects climate change and has an impact on the surrounding community."
