For today’s kids, technology such as computers, the Internet, cell phones, and satellites is an assumed presence. Between texting, e-mail, gaming, instant-messaging, and online commerce, their world is one of constant electronic interaction through which they have almost instant access to everything from information to merchandise to other people. In this culture of instant gratification and potential excess, parenting has become a bigger challenge than ever. Generation Text examines the ways in which children's identities are shaped by the world around them…and how, with an absence of meaningful barriers between impulse and the ability to act on them, parents can help children learn to make intelligent choices and manage the potential overload successfully. Dr. Michael Osit, has worked with children and teens for more than thirty years, and has helped families challenged by the new order of access and excess—and the temptations and dangers that go with it. His advice will help you help your children develop key social skills, a healthy identity, and a sense of purpose and accountability. Generation Text provides the sage advice and proven parenting strategies for raising confident, happy, and safe kids who will be fully equipped for their future.

......Based on analysis from UNAIDS in 2012, one of the causes of the high incidence of HIV in the world is stigma and discrimination. Apart from the surrounding environment, there is still a lot of stigma that people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) receive from health workers. One of the factors that plays a role in the formation of stigma, especially among health workers, is the level of knowledge. Apart from that, family relationships as an external factor will also be examined in relation to stigma towards PLWHA. This study aims to examine the relationship between the level of knowledge about HIV/AIDS and family relationships with stigma towards PLWHA among health students. The research design used was cross sectional on 283 respondents taken using a non-random sampling method with a quota sampling technique. The results of the chi-square test analysis showed that statistically there was a significant relationship between the level of knowledge and stigma towards PLWHA (p = 0.001). Meanwhile, regarding family relationships, the results statistically show that there is no relationship between family relationships and stigma towards PLWHA (p = 0.097). It is hoped that future research will focus on other factors that link family relationships and stigma against PLWHA.

Bolton, Robert
Abstrak :
"What is social style, and how can you make it work for you in a business situation? Your success at any management level depends largely on your ability to deal with other people. In this business-oriented approach to interpersonal relationships, management experts Robert Bolton and Dorothy Grover Bolton show you how to assess various behavior patterns and how to use that knowledge to capitalize on your strengths, minimize your weaknesses, and get the results you want from others. Are you predominantly an Amiable, an Analytical, an Expressive, or a Driver? Nearly everyone, according to Boltons' extensive research, uses on of the four basic social styles more often than the others. No style is better than any other, but each does bring with it a unique pattern of strengths and weaknesses. This book shows you not only how to recognize your particular style but also how to use that knowledge to manage others more effectively, set appropriate life goals and career paths, plan a sound self-improvement plan, increase your creativity, and more. Te best managers, claim the Boltons, excel at being what they are rather than at trying to be what they are not. If you feel that your effectiveness at work could be increased by better interpersonal skills but are tired of theories that want you to overhaul yourself to fit some uncomfortable, impersonal ""management style,"" then let Social Style/Management Style improve your dealings with others and still let you be yourself."
