Abstrak :
Rasa aman dari ancaman bahaya seperti kelaparan, keku- rongan gizi, penyakit dan tekanan" dan "perlindungan dari kelracauan tak terduga dan menyulitkon dalam kehidupan sehari-hari adalah dua aspek utama konsep keamanan monusia dalam pandungan UNDP. Konsep kaomonan monusia berbeda dan seharusnya tidak dicampur baur dengan konsep keamanan nasional, yang biasaya diartikan sebagai aman dari serangan luar dan aman dari upaya pemecahan keutuhan wilayah. Pembangunan manusia - yang terpusat pada monusia, inklusif adil dan berkesinambungon - terkait dengan keomanan manusia karena alasan yang sederhano bahwa pembangunon manusia mengarah pada keamanan manusia. Pembangunon manusia karenanya adalah jalan menuju keamanan manusia. Jika demikian adanya. As the international society continue to witness varying forms of threats to humanity, the concept of human security as introduced by the state has constantly been challenged for its inadequacy to capture and address the realities of human insecurity. The silver lining of this situation, however, relies on how those mainstream ideas of human securities are continuously contested and redefined through the medium of art. Through the use of alternative public and transnational space, art represents sincere aspirations of the people and facilitate them to realize their vision of their own-and others-in)securities, beyond the imaginary, yet powerful, wall of sovereignty which serve the national and rational interests of the powerful actors.

Abstrak :
This book focuses on the environmental components of sustainability, including aspects of resourcing and the environmental impacts of human societies. Marine and tropical forest ecosystems, food security and other natural resources, as well as technologies for the environmental control of societal impacts are examined. Abstrak :
This paper aims to explain the emergence of terrorism issue in the security studies. The unusual characteristics of the threat of terror fores a new way of handling security, besides the conventional military approach. However, the human security approach that once was expected to be able to cope with this problem in fact has faced difficulties in its implementation. The 'search and destroy' effort, with its militaristic and interventionist tendency, proves to be in the front line now in the conduct of antiterrorism. Some notes are to be considered seriously here, though. First, there is a need to be very precise in using force. The avoidance of attacks in civilians is an urgency. Second, there is also an urgency in finding legal umbrella in doing the 'search and destroy' approach. The purpose is to find justification for the action.

Masalah human security dan human development merupakan hal yang tidak dapat dipisahkan. Konsep tersebut bertujuan untuk memerangi kemiskinan dan mcningkatkan taraf hidup manusia sehingga harus diberlakukan baik secara nasional maupun lnterasional. Hal tersetut kemudian menjadi prioritas utama PBB seperti yang telah disepakati dalam UN Millennium Summit 2000 dengan diadopsinya Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Fokus utama MDGs antara lain adalah memerangi kemiskinan terpenuhinya pendidikan dasar, pcrsamaan jender, governance dengan tujuan akhir ?creating an effective global partnership for development".
