Abstrak :
Emotional Intelligence (EI) has become a topic of vast and growing interest worldwide and is concerned with the ways in which we perceive, identify, understand, and manage emotions. It is an aspect of individual difference that can impact a number of important outcomes throughout a person's lifespan. Yet, until now there were no authoritative books that bridge the gap between scholarly articles on the subject, often published in obscure professional journals, and the kind of books found in the pop-psych sections of most large bookstores. This book fills that gap, addressing the key issues from birth through to old age, including the impact of EI on child development, social relationships, the workplace, and health. It is a useful introduction to the academic study of EI, including its history as a concept.

Abstrak :
These Transactions publish research in computer-based methods of computational collective intelligence (CCI) and their applications in a wide range of fields such as the Semantic Web, social networks and multiagent systems. TCCI strives to cover new methodological, theoretical and practical aspects of CCI understood as the form of intelligence that emerges from the collaboration and competition of many individuals (artificial and/or natural). The application of multiple computational intelligence technologies such as fuzzy systems, evolutionary computation, neural systems, consensus theory, etc., aims to support human and other collective intelligence and to create new forms of CCI in natural and/or artificial systems. This eighth issue contains a collection of ten carefully selected and thorougly revised contributions.

Krisis moneter yang terjadi sejak 1997 menyebabkan pemerintah dalam hal ini adalah Bank Indonesia mengeluarkan peraturan mengenai kecukupan modal yang harus dimiliki oleh suatu bank, atau yang lebih dikenal dengan nama Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR). Meskipun Bank X merupakan hasil merger dari empat buah bank dan sekarang menjadi bank dengan jumlah aset terbesar di Indonesia, Bank X tetap menjaga persentase CAR agar tetap atau bahkan melebihi standar yang telah ditetapkan oleh Bank Indonesia. Dengan menggunakan teknologi informasi, diharapkan manajemen pemenuhan CAR dapat tetap terjaga, dan top manajemen dapat dengan cepat mengambil keputusan jika terjadi sesuatu yang tidak diharapkan. Penggunaan teknologi informasi ini adalah menggunakan business intelligence atau dalam hal ini lebih tepat disebut sebagai Executive Information System (EIS).

Economical Crisis that happens from 1997 makes the government, in this case is Bank Indonesia release a policies about minimum bank capital that should be owned by a bank, and it is called Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR). Although Bank X consists from the merger of four banks and now becomes a bank with the highest asset in Indonesia, Bank X still keeps the CAR percentage to make it stable or over the minimum standard of Bank Indonesia. Using the information technology, hopefully the CAR can be kept appropriately, and top management can make a decision more faster if there is any unexpected event. The practice of this information technology is using business intelligence or Executive Information System (EIS).

Saat ini teknologi informasi semakin herkembang pesat, begitu pula dengan teknologi kecerdasan buatan (Artificial intelligence) yang semakin banyak digunakan Teknologi ini dapat membuat komputer melakukan proses-proses dengan pola pikir seperti halnya manusia biasa. Perancangan sistem pakar (expert system) yang berbasiskan Artificial Intelligence, telah membuat sebuah sistem komputer dapat meniru proses pemikiran dan pengetahuan seorang ahli dalam memecahkan masalah-masalah yang rumit. Implemenlasi dari sistem pakar (expert system) ini dapat diterapkan pada departemen elektro yang diharapkan dapat membantu mahasinva elektro. Tidak sedikif mahasiswa elektro yang mengalami kesulitan dan kebingungan ketika harus memilih salah satu konsentrasi dari departemen elektro. Bahkan ada mahasiswa yang berpindah konsentrasi karena tidak sesuai dengan minat dan kemampuannya. Expert system ini merupakan suatu sarana konsultasi bagi mahasiswa elektro dalam menentukan konsentrasi yang tepat bagi dirinya. Dalam expert system terdapat beberapa komponen yang diperlukan di antaranya aturan (rules) dan database. Rules berisi berbagai aturan-aturan yang akan menentukan konsentrasi yang tepat bagi mahasiswa. Rules yang dibuat ini direpresentasikan dalam bentuk IF- THEN. Dalam implementasi expert system ini menggunakan database Sistem Informosi Akademis (SISKA). Perancongan dan implemenlasi sistem pakar (expert system) ini merupakan pengembangan dari sistem akademis (SISKA) yang Ielah digunakan di departemen elektro dan diharapkan dapal memberikan bantuan bagi mahasiswa. Implementasi expert system dalam menentukan konsentrasi ini dapat memberikan solusi yang terbaik bagi mahasiswa dan dapat diintegrasikan dalam Sistem lnformasi Akademis (SISKA).
