"Woman/Leader identity conflict merupakan konflik yang terjadi pada pemimpin wanita akibat ketidaksesuaian tuntutan antar peran sebagai wanita dan pemimpin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara evaluasi positif yang dimiliki pemimpin wanita terhadap identitas kepemimpinannya positive leader identity, perbandingan diri yang dilakukan terhadap rekan kerja pria social comparisons to man, dan lama memimpin seseorang leadership experience dengan woman/leader identity conflict. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua studi. Studi pertama merupakan studi cross-sectional N=145 dengan metode pengukuran self-report berbentuk survey online. Untuk meminimalisir bias respon penelitian, pengambilan data diambil dalam dua tahap dengan waktu yang berbeda. "ABSTRAK
Positive leader identity merupakan salah satu konsep diri yang penting untuk dimiliki seorang pemimpin. Berdasarkan perspektif teoritis claiming mengakui identitas diri sebagai pemimpin dan granting mengakui identitas orang lain sebagai pemimpin, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah implicit leadership theories memediasi hubungan antara leadership self-efficacy dan positive leader identity. Data diperoleh melalui 65 pasangan pemimpin dan bawahan pada perusahaan makanan dan minuman di Indonesia. Pengukuran dilakukan menggunakan alat ukur leadership self-efficacy perception scale, implicit leadership theories scale, dan collective self-esteem scale.Hasil analisis regresi lanjutan pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa implicit leadership theories tidak memediasi hubungan antara leadership self-efficacy dan positive leader identity. Hasil ini memiliki implikasi bahwa granting yang diberikan bawahan kepada pemimpinnya untuk membentuk claiming dari pemimpin terhadap positive leader identity, tidak didasarkan pada penilaian dengan membandingkan sosok pemimpinnya dengan karakteristik pemimpin yang ideal.

ABSTRACT
Positive leader identity is one of the most important self concept to be possessed by a leader, based on the theoretic perspective of claiming acknow ledging one identity as leader and granting acknow ledging others identity as leader, this research was trying to see, is implicit leadership theories mediate the relationship between leadership self efficacy and positive leader identity. Data was collected from 65 pairs of leader rsquo's and follower in food and beverages company in Indonesia. Scales used by this research is leadership self efficacy perception scale, implicit leadership theories scale, and collective self esteem scale. Result from the regression analysis shows that implicit leadership theories does not mediate the relationship between leadership self efficacy and positive leader identity. This result indicate that granting that was given by followers to their leader rsquo s in order to form their claiming on positive leader identity, does not fully based on the evaluation by comparing their current leader with ideal leader characteristics."

......The representation of women in leadership roles in Indonesia needs improvement, particularly within the infrastructure sector. Previous literature underscores that a pivotal factor in the attainment of leadership is the construction of positive leader identity, wherein individuals acknowledge themselves as leaders and receive recognition from others that they are leaders. While internal factors influencing positive leader identity have been extensively studied, our understanding of the external contributors factors is lacking. This study examines the role of external factors, specifically developmental job challenges and protege’s network, on the formation of positive leader identity. This research delves into the mechanisms through which these factors influence positive leader identity, with a specific focus on the moderating roles of woman-leader identity conflict and patriarchal belief. Within the infrastructure sector, this research collected data through an e-survey from 236 female engineering graduates. Results from moderated multiple regression analyses reveal that women's positive leader identity is influenced by the interplay of developmental job challenges, woman-leader identity conflict, protege’s network, and patriarchal belief. These research findings hold significance for scholars in understanding the construction of leadership identity, and for policymakers in understanding effective intervention strategies to achieve gender parity in leadership."

"ABSTRAK
Terdapatnya pertentangan antara identitas sebagai pemimpin yang harus menampilkan perilaku agentic seperti agresif, asertif dan independen dengan identitas sebagai wanita yang harus menampilkan perilaku communal seperti peduli, perhatian dan dependen pada seorang pemimpin wanita menyebabkan munculnya identity conflict. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan positive gender identity, stereotype threat, dan leadership self efficacy dengan identity conflict serta hubungan antara identity conflict terhadap life satisfaction pada pemimpin wanita. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengukur variabel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan self report melalui survey online dengan sampel pemimpin wanita di Indonesia N=151 . Pengumpulan data dilakukan dalam dua tahap dimana tahap pertama mengukur variabel dependen, dan tahap kedua untuk memperoleh data dari variabel independen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara positive gender identity, stereotype threat, dan leadership self efficacy terhadap identity conflict. Serta terdapat hubungan antara identity conflict terhadap life satisfaction.

ABSTRACT
There is a contradiction between identity as a leader who must display agentic behavior likes agressive, assertive, and independent with an identity as a woman who must display communal behavior likes caring, watchfulness, and dependent in female leaders leads to the emergence of an identity conflict. This research aims to examine the relationship between positive gender identity, stereotype threat, and leadership self efficacy towards identity conflict and identity conflict toward life satisfaction on woman leader. The method used to measure the variables in this study using self report through online survey with sample of female leaders in Indonesia N 151 . The data collected into two times. Time 1 collect data on the dependent variable, and time 2 to collect data from independent variable. The result shows that there is correlation between positive gender identity toward identity conflict, stereotype threat toward identity conflict, leadership self efficacy toward identity conflict, and identity conflict toward life satisfaction. "Positive Leader Identity didefinisikan sebagai evaluasi positif-negatif terhadap kategorisasi sosial sebagai pemimpin dari sebuah kelompok.Penelitian ini mengambil perspektif bahwa terbentuknya identitas pemimpin yang positif didasarkan oleh perspektif evaluasi dan mekanisme claiming-granting antara pemimpin dengan bawahan. Peneliti menduga bahwa bawahan dapat berkontribusi secara aktif dalam membentuk identitas pemimpin positif dengan mengevaluasi apakah pemimpin merupakan bagian dari kelompok leader group prototypicality , serta dapat diperkuat atau diperlemah oleh orientasi pemimpin terhadap kepentingan kelompok leader group orientedness . Untuk mengurangi dampak common method bias, peneliti menggunakan dua sumber berbeda dalam pengambilan data. Sebanyak 66 pasangan pemimpin dan bawahan dari perusahaan industri makanan dan minuman dilibakan dalam studi cross-sectional.
Hasil dari analisis PROCESS menunjukkan bahwa leader group orientedness memoderasi hubungan positive leader identity dengan leader group prototypicality. Hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa skor positive leader identity tertinggi terjadi pada pemimpin non-protototypical dengan skor leader group orientedness tinggi. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan bukti empiris bahwa bawahan dapat berkontribusi secara aktif dalam membentuk identitas pemimpin yang positif.
......Positive Leader Identity is positive negative evaluation of social category as leader of a group. In this research, constructing positive leader identity is explained by evaluative perspective and claiming granting mechanism between leaders and followers. Researcher assumed that followers can actively contribute in constructing positive leader identity by evaluating whether the leader is a part of the group leader group prototypicality and can be strenghtened or weakened by leader orientation to group interest leader group orientedness . In order to reduce common method bias, reseacher obtained the data needed from two different sources. 66 pairs of leader and follower were involved in this cross sectional study.
The result from PROCESS analysis shows that leader group orientedness moderated the relationship between positive leader identity and leader group prototypicality. In addition, non prototypical leaders who have high leader group orientedness score, show the highest positive leader identity score. Results from this research are expected to provide empirical evidence that followers can contribute actively in constructing positive leader identity."

"Keterwakilan pemimpin perempuan di Indonesia masih rendah yaitu hanya sebesar 11,3%. Langkah yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah perlunya karyawan perempuan menginternalisasi positive leader identity. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi positive leader identity berdasarkan teori claiming dan granting. Penelitian dilakukan pada 418 karyawan wanita yang sudah menikah dari berbagai organisasi baik organisasi yang didominasi pria maupun wanita. Alat ukur yang digunakan memiliki reliabilitas yang berkisar antara 0,72-0,87. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa (1) Traditional gender role belief (B = -0,14; p < 0,01), future work self (B = 0,23; p < 0,01), dan spousal emotional support (B = -0,12; p < 0,05) signifikan memengaruhi positive leader identity (B = -0,14; p < 0,01); (2) Humility (B = 0,07; p > 0,05) tidak signifikan memengaruhi positive leader identity; (3) Spousal instrumental support dapat memperlemah pengaruh traditional gender role belief terhadap positive leader identity. Faktor tersebut memprediksi varian positive leader identity sebesar 24% F(1,409) = 3,90, p < 0,01. Dengan demikian, hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan tambahan pemahaman bahwa faktor internal dan eksternal saling bereaksi dalam mempengaruhi identitas pemimpin. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor di luar domain pekerjaan juga turut mempengaruhi internalisasi identitas pemimpin. Dengan demikian, untuk berhasil mengatasi kurangnya keterwakilan perempuan dalam posisi kepemimpinan, tidak cukup hanya mengatasi faktor in- ternal dalam diri individu tetapi juga perlu memperhatikan faktor eksternal baik itu faktor yang ada di organisasi maupun luar organisasi.
.....Women leaders are still underrepresented in Indonesia which only 11.3% in management position. To overcome these problems, female employees need to internalize a positive leader identity. This study aims to identify the factors that influence positive leader identity based on claiming and granting theory. The study was conducted on 418 married female employees from various organizations, both male and female dominated organizations. The measuring instrument used has a reliability that ranges from 0.72 to 0.87. The results of the analysis show that (1) traditional gender role beliefs (B = -0.14; p <0.01), future work self (B = 0.23; p <0.01), and spousal emotional support (B = -0.12; p < 0.05) significantly affect positive leader identity (B = -0.14; p < 0.01); (2) Humility (B = 0.07; p > 0.05) does not significantly affect positive leader identity; (3) Spousal instrumental support weaken the effect of traditional gender role beliefs on positive leader identity. This factor predicts the positive leader identity variant of 24% F(1.409) = 3.90, p <0.01. The findings of this study can contribute to provide additional understanding that internal and external factors are interact in influencing leader identity. This research shows that factors outside the work domain also influence the internalization of a leader's identity. To succeed in overcoming the underrepresentation of women in leadership positions, organization must pay attention not only to internal but also to external factors within the organization and outside the organization."
