Guardian Pharmatama bertujuan Memahami penerapan aspek-aspek CPOB yang dilakukan oleh industri farmasi dalam menghasilkan produk yang berkualitas dan Memahami peranan apoteker dalam industri farmasi. Apoteker mempunyai peranan dan tanggung jawab penting untuk menerapkan aspek - aspek yang tercantum dalam CPOB tersebut, antara lain sebagai penanggung jawab produksi, penanggung jawab pengawasan dan pemastian mutu. Tugas khusus yang diberikan berjudul studi literatur sediaan infus. Persyaratan infus intravena yaitu sediaan steril berupa larutan, bebas pirogen, sedapat mungkin dibuat isotonis terhadap darah, tidak mengandung bakterisida, harus jernih dan praktis bebas partikel, volume netto/volume terukur tidak kurang dari nilai nominal, dan memenuhi syarat injeksi. Untuk memenuhi persyaratan tersebut, dalam pembuatan sediaan infus, industri farmasi harus menerapkan CPOB pembuatan produk steril.
