"ABSTRAK
Seminyak tourism area is now one of the favorite tourist destinations for foreign tourists as an alternative to Kuta tourism area. However; the existence of Seminyak area to accommodate the tourists who are not acommodated in Kuta which in fact is stagnant, raises several new problems. In other words, sustainable tourism is difficult to realize in this district. There are many positive consequences of tourism that can be increased if tourism is implemented and practiced in a more sustainable and appropriate way. Involving social aspects and customs is essential. Indigenous people of Seminyak must always be involved in planning and implementing tourism so that it leads to a more positive attitude. One of the key elements of sustainable tourism is community development, which is the process and capacity to make decisions considering a long-term, ecological, and equilibrium economy among all communities."

"In the context of Industry 4.0, the concept of sustainable tourism has become a prominent subject of discourse among experts. The discussion of sustainable tourism is inextricably linked to the concept of green tourism, commonly referred to as eco-tourism. Green tourism has garnered significant attention from stakeholders within the tourism sector, as there is a growing societal awareness regarding environmental conservation and sustainable practices. This study seeks to examine the impact of green tourism on the sustainable tourism sector within the framework of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Employing a qualitative approach with a narrative method, this research offers a comprehensive analysis of the subject under investigation. The findings indicate that green tourism plays a pivotal role in advancing sustainable tourism, as it priorities environmental stewardship and sustainability, while simultaneously contributing significantly to the local economies of communities that have yet to benefit from governmental economic empowerment. Additionally, the study reveals that the Fourth Industrial Revolution has both positive and negative implications for the development of ecotourism, which in turn, influences the broader trajectory of sustainable tourism development."

The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy is focusing its efforts on sustainable tourism practices in Indonesia. This tourism concept has a significant role in creating long-term positive impacts on the environmental, social, cultural, and economic aspects. A shift in tourist behaviour, driven by an increased focus on sustainability after the COVID-19 pandemic, has made this trend even more noticeable. Jakarta is currently focusing on increasing the effectiveness of its tourism strategy by prioritizing the sustainable tourism concept. This encouragement arises because of the sustainable tourism problems in Jakarta identified through the evaluation of the DKI Jakarta Disparekraf Strategic Plan. Therefore, Jakarta must ensure that innovation is the primary basis for developing tourism strategies. This research aims to design a sustainable tourism development strategy in Jakarta, focusing on innovation aspects. The method used is an Innovation Maturity Assessment, which assesses the extent to which tourism stakeholders in Jakarta are able to implement sustainable tourism practices. The results of this test are the basis for designing strategies to improve aspects that still have weaknesses. The strategies formed are then analyzed using the Strategy to Mission Matrix to determine the priority level of each proposed strategy."

The research in this thesis is about the sustainability of tourism development in the Ciletuh Geopark area through community participation. The problem in this thesis is that there are still illegal gold mining communities in the Geopark area who carry out traditional processing, thus polluting the surrounding environment. The purpose of this study is to analyze community knowledge about the sustainability of the Geopark, the contributions and benefits of the existence of the Geopark area, and to develop the concept of a model for community participation in Ciemas District. This study used a qualitative method with data collection in the form of literature studies, in-depth interviews, and observations. Data analysis used qualitative and participatory narrative analysis, based on Geopark area criteria. The results of the study show that at the implementation stage of tourism development in the Geopark area, it is still not sustainable, especially in the social aspect, namely in terms of the readiness of the community knowledge and the weak support and role of the government in providing assistance and supervision. The people mindset that has not changed yet to not pollute the environment is also considered to be a long-term problem that can damage the geological potential in the Geopark area in the future. Meanwhile, the benefits of the existence of the Geopark with the emergence of new livelihoods are considered to have not yet motivated the community to contribute and develop tourism potential in the Geopark area. The concept of a community participation model that can be described is an interactive and communicative participation model through a face-to-face dialogic process and formal/informal meetings as a means of aspirational netting related to empowering sustainable agricultural products, socializing conservation and hazardous chemicals, as well as increasing tourism education and training, by involving collaboration between local government, companies and academics for the community in Ciemas District. The conclusion obtained from the preparation of the concept of community participation model is by strengthening groups or communities. Where it can be a forum for achieving participation in developing tourism potential in the Ciletuh Geopark area, so that it can trigger tourism growth and people welfare who also care about the environment so that it is sustainable."
