"This study discuss about job satisfaction of managerial employee of PT. Cahaya Sakti Multi Intraco (CASMI). The reason is the current condition at CASMI shows high tumover of managerial level employee, low performance of managerial employee, and high absence level of managerial employee, that are related to job satisfaction. Author also gets Information ffom the books, joumai, and internet, which discuss about job satisfaction, the phenomena related to job satisfaction and how to measure job satisfaction. Job satisfaction has relationship to tumover, absence level, and performance, so if the company can measure and increase job satisfaction level, it can be increase the productivity.
Job satisfaction is strategic issue in company related to their human resources as one of the important asset. Because of job satisfaction level related to productivity, so the company always try to increase the job satisfaction level of their employee. If the company can increase job satisfaction level, the employee will have spirit to do the job. One concept that famous to study about job satisfaction in job descriptive index, it consist of five facet of job satisfaction, that are work itself (job), pay, supervision, promotion, working relations (co-workers). Beside those five facets, it can be combined with job in general to get information about satisfaction in general.
The conciusion from this study is five facets of job descriptive index significantly influence job satisfaction in general. For managers CASMI, job dimension and supervision dimension influence significantly to job satisfaction in general, that’s about 58,4 %. From this study, the author want to give information to top management about job satisfaction level of managers of CASMI, and what factors that influence job satisfaction of them, is there any difference in job satisfaction related to gender, age, education, working period, and status of managers in CASMI, so the company can do the right way to increase job satisfaction in the future to increase the productivity of company."

"ABSTRAK
Skripsi ini membahas mengenai tingkat kepuasan kerja pustakawan di Pusat Perpustakaan
dan Penyebaran Teknologi Pertanian (PUSTAKA) Bogor. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian
kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode survai yang menggunakan kuesioner sebagai
instrumen penelitiannya. Indikator dalam penelitian ini adalah kepuasan kerja, pustakawan,
the Job Descriptive Index (JDI), kepuasan kerja pustakawan perpustakaan khusus, dan
kepuasan kerja pustakawan berdasarkan jenis kelamin, usia, latar belakang pendidikan dan
lama masa kerja. Analisis data yang digunakan dibantu oleh software Microsoft Excel untuk
menghitung persentase dan hasil JDI. Secara keseluruhan, pustakawan dalam penelitian ini
memiliki tingkat kepuasan kerja yang rata-rata tinggi untuk aspek pekerjaan itu sendiri, aspek
atasan, aspek rekan kerja, dan aspek gaji. Sedangkan untuk aspek kesempatan untuk maju,
tingkat kepuasan pustakawan adalah sedang.

ABSTRACT
This thesis describes about the level of librarian?s job satisfaction at the Central Library and
Dissemination of Agricultural Technology, Bogor. This research is a quantitative research
using a survey method with questionnaire as an instrument of research. Indicators in this
study is the job satisfaction, the librarian, the Job Descriptive Index (JDI), a special library
librarian?s job satisfaction, and librarian?s job satisfaction based on gender, age, educational
background and length of service. Assisted analysis of the data used by the software
Microsoft Excel to calculate the percentage and the results of JDI. Overall, the librarians in
this study have high levels of job satisfaction in average for the aspects of the job itself, the
aspect of supervision, aspects of coworkers, and aspects of the salary. As for the aspects of
the opportunities for promotions, the level of satisfaction of librarians is moderate.;"

"ABSTRAK
Tingkat pertumbuhan industri di Indonesia yang cenderung tinggi menuntut setiap industri untuk memiliki performa yang baik sehingga mampu bersaing secara kompetitif. Performa perusahaan yang baik dipengaruhi oleh produktivitas pekerja yang dipengaruhi oleh tingkat Job Satisfaction yang dimiliki oleh setiap pegawai. Secara langsung maupun tidak langsung Job Satisfaction dapat mempengaruhi banyak aspek bagi suatu perusahaan termasuk Customer Satisfaction yang merupakan focus utama bagi perusahan yang bergerak di bidang service. Ada banyak teori yang mendukung mengenai pentingnya meningkatkan Job Satisfaction bagi suatu perusahaan. Salah satunya Herzberg‟s Two Factors Theory yang menekankan bahwa terdapat 2 faktor utama yang dapat mempengaruhi Job Satisfaction pegawai yaitu Motivators dan Hygiene Factors. Pada penelitian ini, penulis melakukan pengujian Herzberg‟s Two Factors Theory pada salah satu Professional Service Firm di Indonesia. Penelitian ini melakukan pengujian terhadap 156 responden melalui kusioner Job Descriptive Index dan kuisioner berlandaskan Herzberg‟s Two Factors Theory.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur tingkat Job Satisfaction pegawai dan mencari faktor dominan yang mempengaruhi Job Satisfaction pegawai. Setelah itu penelitian ini juga dilanjutkan dengan perancangan strategi menggunakan System Analysis Tools (SAT) guna meningkatkan Job Satisfaction pegawai di Professional Service Firm tersebut.

ABSTRACT
The growth rate of Industries in Indonesia has grown so significance that made this country has to increase its industrial performance that influence industrial competiveness. Industrial performance influenced by workers' productivity. Many aspects that influence workers' productivity organization commitment, work engagement and Job Satisfaction. Job Satisfaction has a big impact for a company espescially for service company since Job Satisfaction affects Customer Sarisfaction. There are many theories that support the importance of improve Job Satisfaction for company. Herzberg?s Two Factors theory explained about the factors that affecting Employee Job Satisfaction. They are Motivator Factors and Hygiene Factors. This research examined Herzberg?s Two Factors Theory in Professional Service Firm in Indonesia. There are about 156 respondends that participate in this research. The dominant factors were found through Job Descriptive Index and questionnaire that related with Herzberg‟s Two Factors Theory were used in this research. At the end, based on the results, researchers was trying to make a strategy to imptove Job Satisfaction Level in Professional Service Firm"
