"Tesis ini membahas tentang konsep museum virtual, edukasi di museum dan learning innovation. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Museum Negeri Provinsi Sulawesi Utara, Manado. Mengacu kepada konsep dan teori tersebut, maka untuk meningkatkan peran Museum Negeri Provinsi Sulawesi Utara dalam memberikan pemahaman dan edukasi tentang nilai-nilai budaya mapalus kepada masyarakat banyak, maka pemanfaatan Museum Virtual menjadi salah satu solusi dalam penyampaian edukasi kepada masyarakat. Adapun pendekatan edukasi yang digunakan adalah active learning. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan dengan melakukan studi pustaka dan observasi di lapangan. Hasil penelitian berupa konsep museum virtual di Museum Negeri Provinsi Sulawesi Utara.
The focus on this study is about virtual museum concept, education in museum and learning innovation. The study is conducted at State Museum of North Sulawesi Province, at Manado. Referring to the study, to increase the role of the museum in giving comprehension and education about cultural value of Mapalus to public, the use of virtual museum becomes one of the solutions in delivering the education to public. The education approach used is active learning. Thisresearch is using qualitative method with descriptive design. Data collected by doing literature study and direct observation. The result is how is the concept of virtual museum at State Museum of North Sulawesi Province."

"Pandemi dan pemberlakuan PSBB berdampak signifikan terhadap penurunan jumlah kunjungan dan performa layanan museum. Salah satu jalan keluar atau alternatif yang muncul dan sempat naik daun saat pandemi adalah tur virtual. Tur virtual hadir sebagai strategi baru bagi museum untuk terus beroperasi di masa pandemi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat eksistensi tur virtual museum yang diadaptasi oleh museum di Jakarta dalam menjaga keberlangsungan pariwisata. Metode yang digunakan oleh penulis dalam penelitian ini adalah studi pustaka. Penulis melakukan kunjungan tur virtual pada museum-museum di DKI Jakarta dengan rentang waktu November 2021 hingga Mei 2022. Kajian mengenai tur virtual museum di Indonesia didominasi dengan pembahasan mengenai proses produksi dalam lingkup teknis perancangan dan pembuatan tur virtual museum, belum membahas sejauh mana potensi tur virtual dalam menjaga keberlangsungan pariwisata. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa tur virtual museum hadir sebagai alternatif pengganti layanan kunjungan fisik. Selain itu, eksistensi tur virtual museum juga secara tidak langsung menjadi strategi marketing atau media promosi bagi museum-museum. Hadirnya dua fungsi tersebut krusial dalam menjaga keberlangsungan pariwisata museum.
The pandemic and the implementation of PSBB had a significant impact on the sudden decrease in the number of visits and museum’s performance. One of the solutions or alternatives that emerged and had become popular during the pandemic was virtual tours. Virtual tours came up as a new strategy for museums to be able to continue operating during the pandemic. The purpose of this research is to see the existence of virtual museum tours adapted by museums in Jakarta in maintaining the sustainability of tourism. The method used by the author in this research is literature study. The author makes virtual tour visits to museums in DKI Jakarta with a time span of November 2021 to May 2022. The study of virtual museum tours in Indonesia mainly discusses about production process within the scope of designing and making virtual museum tours, but not to the extent of the potential of virtual tours in maintaining tourism sustainability. This study found that virtual museum tours exist as an alternative to physical visiting tours. In addition, the existence of virtual museum tours also indirectly becomes a marketing strategy or media promotion for museums. These two functions are crucial in maintaining the sustainability of museum tourism."
